The book starts with a plane crash and the protagonist who is a diver and discovers diamonds and money in the downed plane. It sounded like a good premise for a story. It is full of action and fast paced and has a lot of suspense. For some reason none of this resonated with me. I had a hard time pushing through with this book as I found I didn't really care about any of the characters. The books just wasn't for me.
Thank you Netgalley, by Michael Ledwidge, HARLEQUIN – Trade Publishing (U.S. & Canada), and Hanover Square Press for the ARC for my honest review.

I received Stop At Nothing, free, from Net Gallery in exchange for an honest review.
This book is a global thriller, much like the Robert Ludlum books, The Bourne Identity etc.
A jet goes down, with a fortune in cash and diamonds, and Michael Gammonis the only person to find out what really happened.
He gets involved in a cat and mouse chase, with very dangerous people
Will he be able to get to the bottom of this before he becomes another casualty.
This book is so exciting that you will not be able to put it down.

DNF - I tried but could not get past the first couple chapters. Love the other books co-authored by Michael Ledwidge but this fell way short.

Michael Ledwidge writes books with James Patterson, so if you enjoy some of Patterson's action books, you will really like this one. It is fast-paced and I read it in a few hours.

A fisherman out on his boat somewhere in the Bahamas trying to nail a marlin. He suddenly hears the whine of an airplane. The plane ends up crashing in the ocean near the boat and the fisherman decides to investigate. He's also a diver, so he goes down to the wreck and realizes that there is a big bag of money on the plane, along with some huge diamonds. He pulls it up, knowing that he is probably going to get in a lot of trouble by stealing the cache, but thinks "no harm, no foul". Welp, you can probably see where this is going. Lots of harm. Lots of foul.

A great read by Ledwidge that I enjoyed a lot. Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for review.

I love the idea of a guy who not only takes care of himself, takes care of others and kicks ass all over town. A little different Jack Reacher, equally accomplished but more connected and social. From the moment he sees the plane go down and retrieves the stuff left on board with an unusual collection of dead men, you get the idea this guy has skills and a cagey ethics. .The choice of hiding place pretty much tells you what you need to know.

The 'official' response is curious and convoluted, revealing for sure some kind of nefarious dealings at high levels of government, which of course means there are traitors with non-honorable agendi.

While not perfect, with some loose ends and unnecessary storylines, it is still a fun story. it is nice to have an idea that any give by the good guy isn't really.
Violent, but mostly only the bad guys get what they deserve.

Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Bahamas dive boat captain and fisherman, Michael Gannon, is the only person to witness a plane crash into the ocean. He dives down to look at the wreckage and finds 6 bodies and a bunch of money and raw diamonds. He takes the loot and hides it then quickly finds himself on the run.

I liked this book because it was fast paced and involved travel to various locales. I never got bored. It kind of reminded me of either an early Andrew Gross solo novel or a Joseph Finder novel. I liked Mike and it turns out he has a very interesting background which will probably allow for some entertaining follow up novels if that is what the author is planning. Interestingly, I swore off James Patterson novels years ago but I have enjoyed the solo novels of a number of his writing partners including this one.

Thanks to Netgalley for the opprortunity to preview Stop at Nothing by Michael Ledwidge. This book held me in suspense from the minute I started till the end. International esponiage, thrilling characters and impactful ending.
What would you do if you found money and diamonds and you thought would find out you took them? For Gannon, it is a no brainer, he hides the money and jewels but soon finds that there are alot of people looking for the stash. And these people are powerful and will stop at nothng to get it back.
Full of suprises and lots of energy. 5 stars.
Recommend.

Thank you to Harlequin and Netgalley for sending me this ebook.

When a jet crashes into the sea off the Bahamas, Michael Gannon witnesses the whole thing. He even gets up close and personal with the six dead men inside the plane – close enough to know they’re dead and the probable cause.

When Gannon sees the bags of money floating around and the loose diamonds, he grabs them for himself and hides them in a tomb underwater. Only the wrong people catch on and set out to do him harm and recover their ill-begotten treasures. By the way these people are a group of people in the FBI that operate on the wrong side of the law.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read and look forward to the second book in this series. The characters are interesting, likable for the most part and three-dimensional. My only complaint is things go just a little too smoothly sometimes. Ledwidge keeps you on your toes trying to figure out what comes next. I recommend this title to any reader. It moves quickly and keeps the reader engaged.

Fast paced thriller! I really enjoyed the story - even though at times I felt like there were some loose ends (story lines and characters that felt incomplete - can't give more without adding spoilers). With that being said, I am looking forward to the next in the series as I really liked the main character.

Actual rate wold be 3.5/5

An airplane crashes, and a diver recovers the “booty”. Finder’s keepers, right? Wrong! When the FBI shows up, Michael Gannon must put in place knowledge and skills from his past that he thought he’d laid to rest. Ledwidge knows his way around an action novel, and this standalone is a non-stop adventure guaranteed to entertain.

Fast and furious, non stop action. Michael Ledwidge has written a really good stand alone novel. A plane carrying a cash and diamonds crashes off the Bahamas that no one sees except for fisherman, Michael Gannon. There are 6 dead men aboard with ties high in government. To stay alive Gannon will have to use lethal skills that he learned in another life.

A plane crashes in the Bahamas carrying diamonds and cash revealing a cover up at the highest levels. This fast paced, action packed thriller finds Michael Gannon needing to use all his skills from his previous life to survive being hunted by corrupt FBI agents. A fun and page turning read.
Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin for this ARC.

Michael Gannon is an American ex pat living in the Bahamas where he is a part time diving instructor, sport fisherman and has his own boat. He is enjoying a relaxed life in the sun with no cares to weigh him down. The novel opens when Michael spots a corporate jet flying low over the ocean near where he is fishing. The plane splashes down and he heads over to see if he can render any assistance to passengers on board. Getting there he finds six dead men on the plane. Diving down to see if any passengers are still alive Michael finds a fortune in both cash and diamonds and thinking that he has come upon a drug deal gone bad takes the fortune and heads home.
A combined U.S. navy and FBI investigation of the crash brings out what is a plot by certain leaders of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to squelch damning evidence on themselves which is scheduled to be broadcast by a man hiding in an embassy in London. These people find that Michael Gannon has taken the cash and diamonds and a search and kill hunt for him begins. But we quickly find that Gannon has a past which is very helpful in fending off his would be killers.
Mr Ledwidge is an experienced author with a background which includes collaboration with James Patterson and appears to be launching a series of his own featuring Michael Gannon. These future books may included action in the Caribbean working out of the Bahamas and should prove well worth the read.
