I really have no idea about the concept of blockchain before reading this book. Although I always come across this word often whenever I read business articles and listen to podcasts.

For someone like me who wants to understand the nature and issues of this emerging technogy, this book really helped me a lot. The articles in this book provide the foundational knowledge such as what is it, how it affects businesses and society as a whole, and how it affects the environment.

The great thing about the collection of articles is that it gives you the ability to weigh in multiple perspective of the subject. The authors, who are distinguished in their respective field, clearly brings the topic in multiple angles. This prompted me to get more curious about the topic.

This book is highly recommended for those who like to understand the blockchain technology in a nontechnical way.

Most people are completely clueless on how blockchain, cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, etc. work because of the fact that as of yet they haven’t had a “need” to make the switch, so since they don’t “need to” or “have to” use it, it is unimportant. This sweeping unknowing has led to an unfairly nefarious connotation. Hopefully things of this nature can help inform and educate. As far as the report goes, it was exactly what I expected it to be. I love finding things like this abt some things I’ve heard abt but am not very familiar with because it’s simply cut and dry and data supported.

This is a very solid overview of blockchain tech and uses. It is so early in blockchain's lifespan that it's really only for a subset of businesses and individuals to reap any benefits. But if you want to learn a little about this evolving tech and how it will likely have tectonic impacts on our lives in the next 10-20 years, this is a good collection of info (from HBR articles from 2017/2018). You won't come away with any implementable ideas or action items, but you'll be a little more informed. 3.5 stars.

I really appreciate the advanced copy for review!!
