Christmas Sweets in a trilogy of Christmas-themed novellas from three leading ladies.

I have always been a HUGE fan of the Hannah Swenson series by Ms Fluke and the Lucy Stone series by Leslie Meier. This is my first read on Laura Levine and her Jaine Austen series.

The Twelve Deserts of Christmas by Joanne Fluke is a re-release from Ms Fluke, apparently from 2006. It is moreso focussing on a friend of Hannah and Andrea’s, but still includes the gang. Even though I have read every book, I don’t recall this story, and I truly enjoyed it. It takes place while Hannah was still in the triangle of Mike and Norman.

The second book, Nightmare on Elf Street by Laura Levine was ok, but just not of my particular interest. I know she has her own loyal fan base and I can appreciate it for the cute mystery it is.

Lastly, is The Christmas Thief by Leslie Meier. It mainly involves Elizabeth (Lucy’s eldest daughter) at her place of employment at the posh Cavendish Hotel in Florida. Luckily Lucy and Miss Tilley arrive to help solve the crime with Elizabeth and help save the day.

I truly enjoyed this trilogy and give it 5/5 stars.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington for this ARC and in return I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review and opinion.

I am submitting this review to my GR account immediately and will post it to my Amazon, Bookbub, and B&N accounts upon publication.

A cute 3 book cozy set of 2 authors I already love and a new one to me! Joanne’s book is a re-release (but new to me) that is before her marriage/ back when her nieces were little. So don’t expect a newer one after her recent marriage. It was still good, and as always- the recipes were great. Leslie’s book was also a re-release but good. And this is my first time reading anything by Laura Levine. Overall, I enjoyed all three stories and look forward to more by all three authors!

Kindle copy for Review from Net Galley and Kensington Books.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Fans of Joanne Fluke, Laura Levine and Leslie will enjoy this Christmas compilation which not only features a cozy Christmas murder theme plot solved by their famous counterparts plus yummy holiday recipes to try. An enjoyable collection.

THE TWELVE DESSERTS OF CHRISTMAS by JOANNE FLUKE features Hannah Swenson as two boarding school teachers find love on the ski slope but someone has other ideas.

NIGHTMARE ON ELF STREET by LAURA LEVINE dressed up in a bad elf costume is horrible enough but when Santa is murdered and you become the main suspect, it is upto you to find the real killer.

THE CHRISTMAS THIEF by LESLIE MEIER a fancy Yule ball turned missing jewels into a disaster. As Lucy Stone comes to the rescue as her daughter needs her mother’s expertise.

Christmas Sweets by Joanne Fluke, Laura Levine and Leslie ,Meier. 4 stars

A trio of Christmas theme short stores featuring Hannah Swenson, Jaine Austen and Elizabeth Stone, daughter of Lucy Stone. I have read every single Hannah Swenson and a few Lucy Stone. I have never read the Jaine Austen mysteries. Each of the short stories were entertaining and a fun read. My favorite was the Hannah Swenson mystery, it takes place early in Hannah's timeline when the only men in her life was Mike and Norman. I found the sweet mystery featuring a pair of boarding school teacher utterly charming. The other two mysteries were very enjoyable..

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Books for this ARC.

I received a free copy of CHRISTMAS SWEETS an anthology of three Christmas mysteries by Joanne Fluke, Laura Levine, and Leslie Meier. In the Twelve Desserts of Christmas by Joanne Fluke, Hannah Swensen helps out a family friend who, along with the friend’s crush, has been charged with minding six children boarding at school over the winter holidays. When the romance turns unexpectedly cold, it’s Hannah to the rescue.

In Nightmare on Elf Street by Laura Levine, Jaine Austen takes a job as Satan’s elf. Um, I meant Santa’s elf? When the not-so-jolly St. Nick is stabbed with a snowflake, Jaine’s unjustly put on the naughty list. Jaine’s not the type of elf to sit on a shelf, so she’s back to sleuthing.

In The Christmas Thief by Leslie Meier, Elizabeth Stone has her Christmas travel plans cancelled by her employer. Instead, Elizabeth must manage an event planned to celebrate wealth and to showcase some fancy jewels. When the jewels are stolen, Elizabeth is accused of assisting in the theft and no longer allowed to participate in the festivities, but she still can’t enjoy her Christmas because she’s been told, “don’t leave town.” Elizabeth’s mother Lucy surprises her with a visit and takes on the case.

I enjoyed the collection. I am a fan of the Hannah Swensen series and liked this story, which included Hannah but was more about a family friend. I don’t usually read Laura Levine or Leslie Meier. If you like the silliness of Bridget Jones, then you’ll love Jaine Austen. If you like naïve good-hearted heroines, you’ll probably like Elizabeth Stone. I recommend this book to fans of Joanne Fluke, Laura Levine, and/or Leslie Meier.

Nothing screams Christmas like a book put out by three fabulous authors.
Christmas Sweets is a fun holiday compilation of three stories to warm your heart, make you laugh, and definitely make you want to eat some sweets.
In the first story featuring Hannah Swenson, mischief runs amok when it's the boys versus the girls in this sweet story by Joanne Fluke. Hannah is a fun character who can solve mysteries almost as quickly as she can bake a tray of cookies.
In the second story, Jaine Austin is trying to land a great writing job, but as her fans know, nothing ever comes easy for Jaine. Add in her next door neighbor and friend, Lance, and you have the perfect mix for holiday chaos.
In the third book, which features Lucy Stone, her daughter Elizabeth gets taken advantage of, which leaves a sour taste in her mouth.

As an avid reader, I really enjoy these authors and the characters they have created. Nothing makes me smile more than catching up with my favorite characters and their holiday antics.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for approving me to read this book.
