Coached to Death By Victoria Laurie is a first in a new series featuring Catherine Cooper, sister to Abigail Cooper, in Ms. Lauries other series.
I wasn't sure at first if I would enjoy Cat as a main character, but as I really got into the story, I began to like her a lot. She has a strong presence and a good personality.
This book focuses on the untimely death of Cat's nemesis. When she and her best friend Gilley begin investigating, they find they might have bitten off more than they can chew.

Really fun story. I haven't read any of the Psychic Eye books yet so I kind of feel like I'm missing out on some stuff, but this was enjoyable none the less. Really fun to read, made me giggle at points. Excited to read more in the series.

Very good read. Really enjoy anything by Victoria Laurie and a spin off series featuring characters from previous series is wonderful. I imagine some inclusion from the main characters in those series also at some stage. Well done.

Such a fun book!!! This involves Cat Cooper, the sister of Abby Cooper from the Psychic Eye series and Gilley Gillespie, the sidekick from the Ghost Hunter series. They are a funny pairing who get into some serious hijinks. The plot was interesting and had decent twists. The writing was solid and I was sorry when the book ended! The characters were well fleshed out and had actual personalities. I love Gilley so much - he makes me so smile with his antics. I’m so glad that the writer created this series - I can’t wait to read more of it. This is actually a 3.5 star book.

Coached to Death (The Life Coach Mysteries #1) by Victoria Laurie is the first book in a new series.

I went back and forth on whether I liked the main character, Cat Cooper. In the end, she was just "okay" for me. I did like her best friend, Gilley. He had a great personality and quick wit that shined through the pages. Coached to Death is a good start in the cozy mystery/amateur sleuth genre. The story and plotline mostly held my interest, and the resolution was satisfying. I would give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I may check out more books by this author to see if her other series pique my interest.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I have read this author in the past and enjoyed her books but it's been a while. This appears to be an offshoot of her previous work. I love Gilly, he seems in his element here. Cat is great as well. This was a fun read. Cat is more forgiving than i - arrest me and I am not going to be your friend! Lol 4 stars A great fun cozy mystery. This is not a paranormal! Still good though.

Cat Cooper begins a new chapter of her life after an ugly divorce and the sale of her marketing firm as she settles into East Hampton as a lifestyle coach. The changes aren’t easy, and they’re made even more difficult by her nasty neighbor, Heather, who doesn’t want Cat in town. Their dislike for each other is hardly a secret, so when Heather turns up dead, Cat is the number one suspect. Still, Heather was nasty to just about everyone, so there are plenty of other people who could have done her in. Now all Cat has to do is avoid the police and find the real killer

It's really great to see more books from Victoria Laurie. I love both her Ghost Hunter and Psychic Eye series and I think this new series will be just as great. I loved seeing Gilly in a different environment. He seemed much more in control of himself in this new place and getting to know Cat is great. She's a tiny but feisty woman. Even though there aren't any paranormal activities to this book it's still a great read. I can't wait until the next book is available. #CoachedToDeath #NetGalley
