I really enjoyed this book. I thought Lena was a fantastic, interesting character, and Clive was a great match for her. The mystery elements kept me guessing and reading on. The writing was lovely, the world building was great, and it's always nice to see British-set historical romance that isn't centered completely on "the season" and "the ton," and that shows that you don't have to be a blue-blood to be interesting, fun, exciting and romantic.

I absolutely loved this book. It kept my attention throughout the whole plot. I felt there was a good balance of romance components with the energetic and fast paced action of the plot. It was very thought out and Rachael's writing is superb. I would definitely recommend this book to fellow lovers of historical romance who love a strong female role.

I look forward to reading more from Rachael.
