The story of Sydney and Scott.

Scott's father Frank is seriously ill but refuses to tell Scott. Sydney works for Frank, and he wants her to marry Scott to increase her chances of taking over as CEO of the company.

They met years ago, and Scott and Sydney think they know the other person, but both of them are keeping things hidden. What will happen when they fall for each other for real? Sydney is still keeping secrets about Franks illness so can Scott trust her once he finds out?

This one took me by surprise. I figured I would start it since it was a rainy morning and pick it back up after doing some adulting stuff. Yeah, I ended up reading the whole thing this afternoon and said screw my adulting stuff. Oh man, Sydney and Scott had me feeling all emotional in my heart place. There was a time or two that my eyeballs were sweating a little. The angst was real and strong in those parts! Since I couldn’t put it down, it’s obvious that I really enjoyed this book.

I finished reading this book yesterday but had to give myself a day to calm down before leaving a review so that I approached it honestly instead of as a knee-jerk reaction to the emotional rollercoaster that I had experienced during the last 1/3 of this book. So lets see if I can remain calm. I'll start with Sydney because she is the essence of a person who has learned to be calm in the worst of storms. Although I kind of expected her to be an uptight snoot as I began reading, she turned out to be anything but. She may be one of my favorite heroines ever. I absolutely adored her and wanted much better treatment for her than what she received throughout her life from the many people who supposedly loved her. If love = cruelty (it doesn't), then Sydney was dearly loved by her grandparents, her surrogate father (Frank), and Scott. Which leads me to Scott. The love/hate relationship I had with that man while reading this story was strong. I'm grateful that we had some chapters told from Scott's POV because I'm not sure I would have liked him AT ALL otherwise. He does make tremendous efforts to atone for how he acts when he discovers that Sydney knew about his father all along, but I was just so incredibly hurt for Sydney after everything she had been through that I couldn't completely forgive him. I still haven't.

I'm quite stingy with 5-star ratings. I don't dole them out unless (1) I enjoyed the book so much that I know I'll read it again, or (2) I recognize that the writing is outstanding simply based on the emotional response it got from me. This author, this book, earns the highest rating on both counts. Even though I still want to whack Scott upside the head, I'll read this story again because it's just that good.

A sincere thank you to NetGalley and the publisher/author for providing an ARC for review.

I enjoyed this book, I loved the idea of this book, an arranged marriage that ends up being for real, who doesn't love that? I appreciated how developed Sydney and Scott's characters were and I really liked the main theme of the book, "I will always find you". I found that powerful and heartwarming. I liked the side characters, Laurel and Miller, they brought some levity to some dark spots in the book. Although there were things I really liked about the novel, there were also some that I didn't like. I felt as though there were 5 main conflicts, and they went on for forever. I thought that maybe the ending would make up for all of the conflicts and would put a nice big bow on the novel. But, in actuality I felt as though the ending wasn't satisfying. I was hoping for a nice far in the future epilogue, like in wrecking ball, but it didn't happen. Overall, the epilogue was okay, and the book was good, but it felt like something was missing.

I really liked this book! I loved that P. Dangelico got to the point of the book super quickly I hate when there's just a lot of weird conversations and set up so I appreciated jumping right into the plot. I really love that this book is a hate to love slowburn kind of thing those are the best and P. Dangelico does it so well, just like how she did it in Wrecking Ball. My favorite character in the entire book had to be Sydney, I almost wish the whole book was told from her perspective to be honest, but it was nice to see Scott's thoughts every once in a while. Sydney was just so well developed and I understood her so well. Also, as usual P. Dangelico built up the supporting characters so well especially Laurel and Miller they were great characters and really helped not just with the plot but with some humorous moments. P. Dangelico's writing is just fantastic: thoughts don't usually drag too long, there's plenty of pithy dialogue and most of all, everyone has so much sass. I obviously did only give it 4 stars though, which means I had a couple issues. Mostly I thought the conflict dragged on for a bit too long, it just honestly really hurt my heart and it was tough to read because I was like literally everything was going wrong. So overall, I really enjoyed this book especially Sydney, and most of the time Scott.

4 stars .....It was a sweet, beautiful, heartwarming book about a marriage of convenience!! I absolutely loved the chemistry between Sydney and Scott. I loved the fact that it was written in dual Pov!! The cover is exceptional and the writing of P. Dangelico is really good and always get's to the point really quick! Lastly although the story is good, you can feel from the start how the story would end!Overall it was a fantastic read.... I'd totally recommend this story!!

6 Rainbow stars! This book was absolutely everything I love. The secrets, drama, tragic back story and angst! I could not put it down, but I didn’t want to end! I loved Scott and Sydney so much, the push and pull, resisting the chemistry and the eventual explosion when they finally gave in. What a fantastic book. I already want to read it again!

When Sydney is asked by her boss Frank to marry his son and to take his place as CEO when he dies, she is stumped at first. But she wants the job and remembering the son, Scott, from over a decade ago she understands his reasoning. Frank is terminally ill and doesn't want his son to know.
Sydney thinks Scott has agreed to save his inheritance and Scott thinks Sydney just wants the job, but both are wrong.

At first Scott tries to outsmart Sydney when she stays at his place in Wyoming, but rather soon his feelings change. Sydney has a past that makes her want a real relationship, happiness and family and so, when things with Scott change, she is happy to go with it. But Scott doesn't know about his father; will this sabotage their relationship?

I love the writing of this author. There is real struggle and background. I must say, I hated the conflict between Sydney and Scott. I had not expected this from Scott. But this author writes about real people who make real mistakes. So there.

One thing: I really did not like the role Scott's family played. I don't want to give any spoilers, but ungrateful lot, those people!

Paola, Paola, Paola...oh how you slay me. Every. Single. Time. The queen of slow burn continues her reign with You Can Have Manhattan. I loved this book so much that I’m at a loss for words. All I know is that without a doubt, Dangelico delivers some of my favorite stories ever with every book she releases. I was instantly drawn in by the marriage of convenience and then the torturous slow burn (which is my absolute fav) sets in leading me to not being able to put this book down. I so wanted to hate Scott, but I couldn’t because he absolutely owned who he was. And Sydney?! The perfect heroine. Her strength in the face of not only her past struggles, but the struggles she goes through with Scott had me rooting for her so hard...had me rooting for these two so hard. I just love the worlds and characters that Dangelico so thoroughly builds. I continuously get sucked in and this story was no different. It has everything I love, the perfect balance of angst, humor and steam. This is an absolute must read. Excuse me while I go wait (impatiently) for Paola’s next release.

This is Sydney and Scott book, Sydney is no stranger to hard work, she’s always worked hard her whole life. Now with no family or friends it’s been easy for her to pour everything she has into her career. She doesn’t need anything else she just has her career that’s it! Until her boss offers her a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! All she has to do to get this opportunity is to marry her bosses good for nothing son! Scott used to be a party whore or better yet a party animal LOL he hasn’t been that guy in a long long time though not since moving to Wyoming and building up a failing cattle ranch that he’s turned into a profitable business! Everything in his life is going good until a phone call from his father threatens his quiet simple life that he’s built! Get married or lose everything! Scott’s definitely not going to go down without a fight! I was pleasantly surprised on how good this book was! It was a very interesting read! It was funny it was tender, sweet, hot hot hot, and the storyline flowed seamlessly!! I really enjoyed reading this one!! And the author threw in one of my good friends sons band in the book!! I thought that was soooo cool!! I’ve seen his band play he’s awesome!! Thank you P. Dangelico for an amazing read! And thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!! Definitely don’t miss out on this one!

Enemies to lovers cowboy romance, and one of my favourite reads by P Dangelico (and that says something, because looking back, all the books I’ve read by her have been 5 star reads for me). I absolutely loved reading Sydney and Scott’s story. Blackmailed into marriage (in the nicest possible way), Sydney and Scott agree to stay married for 3 years. It’s a win win for both parties. No matter that they hate each other, after all it has been 10 years since they last saw each other, and do you know what? They’ve both changed, and yes, you’ve guessed it, they discover they’re very much attracted to each other. This marriage thing is working out great, and the chemistry is off the charts. There’s just the little problem of that secret, the one you pray doesn’t get blown out of all proportion. Fantastic characters, all of them, including the dogs, lots of emotions, happy and sad. I did shed a few tears, and even when I was disliking Scott and his decisions at times, I was still loving him. A wonderful story beautifully written in dual POV. I was addicted from the very first page. I receive an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I received an ARC of this book. Yesterday, I got my copy, and I started reading it and couldn't stop until i finished it in one night (about 4 or 5 hours to read it).
The story is about Scott and Sydney; they are in their 30s with their lives focus in their works in Wyoming and New York respectively. The only thing that they have in common is Scott's father that is CEO of Blackstone Holdings and Sydney's boss who talks Sydney in an arranged marriage with his son, Scott, and stay married for 3 years, so she can be the new CEO and the business can stay in the family.
Scott and Sydney already met each other 10 years ago, they didn't get off to a good start and they haven't seen each other since then. However, many things have changed since then. Both agree to get married. Not all was plain sailing, however...
I totally love the story and how the author wrote the story so you can't stop reading until you finish the whole book. The story is very intriguing and I definitely like the tension that you can feel between Scott and Sydney while the get to know each other. Without a doubt I totally love and recommend this book 5/5. I would really like to read about other characters like Ryan and Drake, so we can really know their story.

You Can Have Manhattan. Having read this book the title now makes me swoon. P. Dangelico had me with that gorgeous cover but I was a greedy, grabby hands fiend once I read the first chapter in her newsletter! She writes gold. I swear it. You Can Have Manhattan has the feels oozing from the pages. I couldn't hold back the tears, the lump in my throat, or my undeniable crush on our hero, the jackass. Even clowns couldn't stop it! (Snickers uncontrollably)

A promise made difficult by love and loyalty. P. Dangelico plays to every emotion you have. She will twist and turn you until you are wrung out and begging. You Can Have Manhattan is everything I wished for. Including my happily ever after!
