Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley For an early copy.
Another fantastic book following the life of JoJo was escaped England due to a embarrassing situation with her then boyfriend that ended in humiliation.
Now, living with Poppy and the dogs, she still not over the incident and finds meeting new people hard and people talking about her.
Along comes Callum whose also escaped from his life and girlfriend.
Along with JoJo’s sister keeping her updated on her home life and what she’s up to/if she’s coming home etc and planning Poppy’s wedding. JoJo has plenty to keep her busy.
Then she hears that her old boyfriend and his girlfriend are planning on visiting France to film a special to the programme she was associated with and Callum has been asked to appear in it. All of a sudden things are back to square one, but Callum makes her see that she needs to stand up to what’s happened and get rid of the label she’s been given otherwise she’ll always be hiding and running away.
But, she has to return home as her gran passes away.
On return, she finally puts in place what she wants to say to her old friend/boyfriend.
Finally, she’s free from the torment and constant tension.
She builds her new life and becomes apart of the business Poppy and Leo run.
Fabulous read. Definitely recommend it. Can’t wait for the next one.

JoJo has fled to the French countryside because her supposed boyfriend screwed her over on a reality TV show in order to get more publicity for himself. Now she fears appearing in public and being recognized as a “disgraced” reality TV show star even though she never did anything wrong. To her French refuge comes celebrity chef, hunky, charismatic Callum O’Connor.

JoJo can’t recover her mojo because she’s lost trust in herself and in others. Callum is a lovely guy and JoJo’s friends are wonderful. The dogs in the book are adorable and the setting is lovely. It all comes together for a very enjoyable read. My only regret is that her odious former boyfriend doesn’t get as much of a comeuppance as I would have liked.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.
