I loved this story. The idea of a library in a castle is cool, and it’s definitely the style of cozy mystery I love to read.
This book kept me guessing until the end, I stayed up late to try and finish it, but my eyes wouldn’t let me.
I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

This book did not engage me at all, no matter how much I tried. I admit, I skimmed most of it just to get to the bloody end. Thank you Netgalley and Crooked Lane Books for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

Death on the Page A Castle Bookshop Mystery by Essie Lang is book 2 in this cozy mystery series.

Even though I did not read book 1, I didn't feel I missed anything. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and setting, especially a bookstore inside a castle. The author's descriptions of the setting conveyed the essence of the atmosphere and were well done. However, there were times I felt I was plodding along trying to get through each chapter and not caring what would happen next. Often I lost interest and found myself skimming large sections to get to the end.

Overall, it was a "good enough" read and cozy mystery (would give this 3.5 stars out of 5).
