This story could have been so much better.
The world building was poor and the story was disjointed.
The story took a huge jump after the first chapter, leaving you in Limbo about how she came to be the only girl in a war training camp.
Disappointing.

Jennifer is a good main character, I really felt for her and enjoyed going on this journey with her. Overall this was a really good scifi book and the plot really puts you in.

Action-packed and intriguing read with an original plot. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next instalment as the author has created something really interesting here.

It became apparent very early on that this is not an adult book, or even a YA book that adult readers would ever read. The writing style is super simplistic and the tone feels much more middle-grade. As I definitely do not fall within the target audience for this book, I cannot rate it fairly.

I have a hard time to decide how to write my review for this book. The story began with a setback for me. I was so upset with the fact about Jenifer so I expected some explanation, but I didn't get that until the end. But I don't want to add more than what is written in the blurb so I won't spoil the story. I think you would guess what I try to say if you read it.
When I read the blurb I liked the idea she was the only girl in the Warband Academy, that sounds interesting so I wanted to read the story. At first, I thought I could like her but with the story going on that was not the case. Well, I can say she was a teenage girl and trying to be strong with having no one to count on.
The way story told, go on with girl or boy do this and that was disturbing. But even though I was put off with the way things go on, I was curious about what will happen in the end.
Unfortunately, I couldn't like the story and the main character but if you think the story sounds interesting for you, read it and decide for yourself. But like me if you think something hard to believe, don't devel on much you wouldn't have the answer until the end. I liked the concept and I feel like I could like more it, but the way the story told and the things the writer didn't share till the end was disturbing for me.
Thanks to #NetGalley and the BooksGoSocial providing me a copy of the book in exchange for an unbiased review.

We find here a men world and just one girl. So, she has to fight her way through, every minute. Tough life for Jennifer.
Thank you Netgalley for this copy.

Interesting, I hated the way these men and boys treated the lone female in their midst. It’s distasteful, mean, shameful and of poor quality. In my opinion, she should have been outfitted with some sort of power to aid her against these bullies, because in myeyes that’s what they were. The storyline wasn’t well focused, you know, a bit aimless although the characters were okay. It was more of a sci-fi drama with a mild excitement level and no action.
