Beautiful book, wonderful paintings of a journey of enlightenment . Whilst combining the Buddhist faith, this book defines the "Heart Sutra" (a famous Mahayanna scripture text ) by expressing the wisdom and compassion through beautiful paintings.
It is a lovely book full of wisdom and words of encouragement and enlightenment, a book to pick up when needed, time and time again, in order to find grounding and calmness.

A lovely book. The artwork is beautiful and intricate, featuring calligraphies of the Heart Sutra, an important Mahayana Buddhist text, as part of the imagery. The text guides us through the works, giving us insight into concepts being shown, and also gives us details about Iwasaki Tsuneo's life.

I thought this would be just images with very little text, but it also includes some artist bio and info. It's mostly an interesting way to look at (literally) a variety of concepts, and most importantly allows readers to think of the subjects in new ways (and maybe bring new insight) via the many beautiful images. I sat with many of the image for a few minutes or more, and many are stuck in my brain. Take your time with book, which may only appeal to a small set of people. But those that connect with it will probably really enjoy it.
