"30 Dates in 30 Days" by Elle Spencer is a fun and romantic novel that explores the ups and downs of dating in the modern world. The author's writing style is lighthearted and humorous, making for an enjoyable and entertaining read. The characters are quirky and relatable, and the storyline is fresh and engaging. If you're looking for a lighthearted and romantic escape, "30 Dates in 30 Days" is the perfect choice. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable read.

I was pulled in by the concept, for sure. That was definitely what said "you need to read this book." I'm also a sucked for Sapphic novels with a legal type/lawyer leading lady. While all of this is true, and while I finished the book in less than a day, I felt myself wanting more from Elle Spencer, who I know is capable of more. It was an adorable read, something I'd recommend for anyone wanting something sweet and honest, but I think the prose could have been more and that Veronica's character arc was missing something. Still an great read!

This was a cute story and I enjoyed seeing how these dates were going to play out as time went on. Elle Spencer always writes such cute stories.

3.5

A cute romance about two women who have two different ideas about love. Veronica, who has spent much of her life putting work before anything else, realizes that she's running out of time in starting the family she has always dreamed about. And then there is Rachel, a photographer who has had a rough time with love and has given it up completely.

It's a fun book, with fun characters - will forever love the regulars who visit the bar Rachel's cousin owns - and a great romance. I didn't like this book as much as Spencer's other books, but it was still a fun read and I'll definitely pick up more of her next books.

A great contemporary romance.

It took me quite a long time to connect with this book, but when I did, I definitely got it. I got 'them' - V and Rachel. They worked together even though they didn't.

What I liked is that the characters were honest, rather than the standard holding back and not letting each other know how you're feeling. This was fresh.

This is my first book by Spencer. I liked the book and picked up The Road to Madison after finishing this one. I love push-pull romances. I thought both main characters were great and I enjoyed reading their story. Secondary characters added to the story and some of the best dialogue was found with them. I especially enjoyed the regulars at the bar. A perfect weekend read.

What an interesting take on speed dating. Veronica Welch is about to named partner with her Law firm in NYC. She promised herself she would be married by 30.After a night out she told her assistant Bea her life plan so Bea set her up with a different date for the next 30 date. Well you know the old saying "you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you get to the Princess." Everything happens in the same bar so the par time bartender full time photographer Rachel Monagham witnesses the horrible dates and they become friends. This was and fun and entertaining story.

Yep, I loved the too and fro of this book. The main characters are really likeable and as I progressed through the book my fondness for them only grew, along with the supporting cast. Would definitely read again.

30 Dates in 30 Days is definitely one of those feel-good books, the kind you crave when it gets cold around you & the days are getting weirdly short & you just need a warm hug. That's this book.

The premise itself is absolutely adorable, although I'm very glad I'm not in the MC's shoes - my anxiety is way too high for this concept. All the dates are funny and soft and the chemistry between the women is obvious from the start. It also helps that Spencer's style is very suitable for this kind of stories, funny when needs be and a bit more serious at times.

All in all, this is a fun and quick read that I would easily recommend!

30 days isn’t enough time to break in shoes but finding love is harder. It was a journey for sure.

Veronica is a New York lawyer with a very clear life plan. A plan which includes being married by 35 and becoming a partner at her law firm. She's almost 35 and weeks away from being named a partner, but the whole marriage thing seems a bit tougher to accomplish in such a short time. Thank god for her assistant Bea, who sneakily creates an online dating profile for her boss and arranges for her to go on 30 days in 30 dates. The setting for all of these dates? A bar where Rachel is helping out while the owner, her cousin Charlotte, is taking care of her dying mother. Rachel has been burned by love before, and although she's a world-renowned wedding photographer, she no longer believes in love. What could possibly go wrong when these two meet?

There's a bit of push-and-pull in this book, which became borderline annoying by the last time it happened. But the pay-off is so sweet, so any annoyance is quickly forgotten. I liked seeing Rachel go through this emotional growth where she dealt with her past and finally saw what was right in front of her the entire time. Veronica's idealised image of love and marriage felt a bit dissonant to the rest of her personality, especially as a lawyer.

The description of the dates were funny, both because of the personalities of the women and because of the reactions from the side characters who witness the dates at the bar.

There was a bit of smut in this, and it was very well-written smut, but I could've done with maybe a bit more?

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

This book was so cute! I loved it! The romance was amazing and the plot was engaging. I constantly wanted to know what would happen next. Veronica's character and story were a lot more developed than Rachel and the characterization was a bit weak here. The writing was amateur. Other than that I adored this story and definitely want to check out more books by this author and imprint.

30 dates in 30 days, can you even imagine all that pressure and awkwardness. Hard pass. Don't hard pass on this book though, Elle Spencer gives us a delightful romance full of fun, silliness, angst and a dang good romance.

Veronica Welch is just a few weeks away from being named partner at her prestigious New York City law firm. Her goal has been to make partner and then find the love of her life and settle down. That is winning to Veronica. While the partnership is almost a done deal, there is no lady on the horizon. Her fabulous assistant, Bea, takes matters into her own hands and puts V on a dating app specifically for lesbians. Bea convinces the ambitious lawyer that now is the time to find Mrs. Right and by having 30 dates in 30 days is the way to do it.

Rachel Monaghan is a world-renowned wedding photographer. Her business is booming, but when she has downtime she helps out her bestie/cousin tend bar at the family pub. Her cousin is going through a lot right now, so any help she can give she will. What this "I don't believe in love anymore photographer" doesn't expect is to strike up a friendship with a successful lawyer who is looking for the love of her life.

Elle Spencer delivers with this one. This book has all the elements to keep you spellbound to the end. 30 Dates in 30 Days is a fun dynamic read. Don't let this one pass you by.

Fabulous. Veronica is about to make partner at her law firm but she also wants to settle down with someone. But she’s single. She enlists the help of her assistant to find her 30 dates in 30 days through an online dating site. Rachel is a renowned wedding photographer who is temporarily helping her cousin out at her bar while she deals with family responsibility. Serving Veronica and her succession of dates isn’t easy for Rachel because she finds Veronica attractive but she’s not willing to settle down herself.

Great dialogue, clever plot, superb chemistry and likeable characters. Nice cameo of characters from another of Spencer’s novels. Everything worked really well together.

Book received from Netgalley and Bold Strokes Books for an honest review.

A sophisticated, contemporary romance is a good description of this book. I did like it a lot. It's well-written, with humour, sparkling dialogue and great characters. That said, it didn't check my favourite boxes of learning something new or discovering a new place, so I didn't quite love it. Nevertheless a great read.

The two characters were interesting. I’m not sure why, but I found it somewhat unexpected that it was Veronica who ended up in pursuit of Rachel and that Rachel ended up being the broken hearted sentimental one that needed a bit of coaxing but also the one to lift up Veronica when everything went sideways. I thought the dates were over the top at times but kept me entertained. There’s a good mix of characters and cast that keep this one going. I did get frustrated about the 2/3 in with the angst, the baggage and the start stop mixed signals action...but I’m pretty sure that was the point. Overall, this one had a lot to offer.

Veronica Welch is a very successful, hard-working lawyer. She has a life plan. By age 30 she wants to become a partner in the law firm, be happily married, and possibly start a family. She realizes that time is marching on and she does not have time to find “Mrs. Right” because of the long hours she is putting in at the firm. Her assistant, Bea, learns of this life plan and decides to help Veronica. Bea puts up a dating profile for Veronica and arranges 30 dates in 30 days. Although Veronica is not sure about this plan, she goes along with it.

Rachel Monaghan has sworn off of relationships after she was burnt badly in her last engagement. Rachel is an extremely successful wedding photographer who travels all over the world covering weddings of the rich and famous. During the off season, she works part time as a bartender at her cousin’s bar. It is at this bar that she learns of Veronica’s dating program.

Rachel and Veronica are extremely attracted to one another, but physical attraction can only go so far. Veronica is not interested in Rachel’s “one-night only” hook ups. She wants a forever relationship.

I really enjoyed the plot of this book and found the humorous descriptions of the dates provided me with many laughs. Veronica and Rachel’s characters are developed very well, and you actually feel connected with the two of them. Readers will find they want to continue reading to learn about the next date.

Ms. Spencer has included two women, Ana and Madison, from her last book “The Road to Madison”, as secondary characters. However, “30 Dates in 30 Days” is not a sequel to that book. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to read a nice romance. I give this a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was such a fun read! I've never read any works by this author before but I'm definitely going to remedy that!

Veronica and Rachel are complete opposites and that's what makes them interesting. There's humor, angst and lots of banter. I loved them both.

The setting is beautiful. And I love the regulars at Charlotte's bar(Rachel's cousin). They are a fun bunch. This book is full of feels. Also loved Veronica's parents. Lots of chemistry between the main characters and this was a sweet and funny read.
