I have read a few of this authors books and she dose not dissapoint.
This one as the others was nice, a little slow-burn, beautiful and so adorable.
I just liked it so much.
Rooted for them to realise their love for each other.
Plus the side-characters were fun too!

This is a series continuation but can be read as a standalone without any issue. It's no secret that I love Anyta Sunday's work and this is another gorgeous, slow burn romance with enough angst to avoid it being sickly sweet. Definitely a recommended read!

Mort grew up in a house devoid of love. His father despised him from birth, after his mother died in childbirth. With such an austere childhood, it was a miracle Mort found a family to embrace him--that would be the Rochesters, the ordinarily boisterous and loving family of five kids and a mom who treated him as their own. Mort was best friends with Michael (Roch) the eldest, and harbored a very long tendresse for his best mate, but knew it would always be unrequited. Life got kooky when Roch's mom took very ill, needing a kidney transplant to save her life, and unexpectedly asking Mort to go away and leave their family behind before she had surgery.

Mort respected her wishes and left, teaching outside of Wellington and away from his beloved Rochesters for a year. A year of pining for the only family he'd truly loved. Even while his own bitter father died, and missing with his whole heart both Roch and his younger brother, Felix. But a year was the most he could stay away and now he's home and wanting to mend fences. At first the Rochester clan is standoffish, and Felix himself is very hurt--he'd harbored the world's biggest crush on Mort for years, and that was unfortunately why their mom asked Mort to leave; she was afraid that Felix and Mort might develop a relationship, and this would go against her conservative ideas--and her vow to stay close the God if he would save her with a transplant.

It's a lot of bittersweet, honestly, but at 28 years old Mort is a man grown, as is Felix who's 25, and neither of them are willing to let the other walk away again. Is friendship all they can have? Would going farther upset the tenuous rapprochement that they have currently? Felix fears his mum will ostracize him if he follows his heart's desire for Mort, but some firm talk does sort out the biggest of the messes, here. Plus, Felix has a reasonable fear that Mort will always love Roch more than him, and that continually has him pushing the brakes on both friendship and more. I loved the goofy family, and the outlandish characters they are. Mort is so loving to all his Rochesters, but he's especially sweet to Felix, who feels he'll always be second-best to his dashing elder brother. Also, he's a little afraid to come out in general, as he's never had a date with a man, and Mort is the only one he'd ever dreamed of in those darkest of fantasies.

Mort wants his family back, but he also wants more with Felix. It takes both of them a while to recognize the need and vulnerabilities of the other, but they are both committed to fixing their mistakes and building a family--together and on their own. There are some sweet firsts, as Felix is a very inexperienced man, on top of never being with another man before. He dated girls a little, but not much. His love for Mort is a poorly kept secret in the family, but its such an exuberant and joyous connection when he finally screws his courage up to be a partner to Mort, accepting the love Mort has been dangling out for him to grasp for several months. 


We get a couple mentions of our beloved characters from the previous books--Mort now works at Kresley Intermediate with Jack and Luke from the two previous books, but apart from some coincidental contact (Felix was one of Ben's blind dates gone bad) this is truly a standalone story. I highly recommend these feel-good romances, and enjoyed reading this one more than once.

Anyta continues to be the queen of Slowburn, and the queen of my heart!

Love, love, loved this one. It was absolutely amazing. But at this point, should I be even surprised?

This was a lovely story about a younger brother who has always loved his older brother's friend. They've been estranged for awhile but when Mort comes back Felix realizes his feelings have never gone away. They start spending time together and slowly falling for each other again.

I liked this one but didn't love it the way I usually do this author's work. I really disliked Felix's mother and the whole plotline around that made me angry. I hated how they treated Mort and I had a hard time getting past that.

Overall though an enjoyable, slow burn story.

Wow - that is the first word that comes to mind in regards to the book. Loved everything about the story. Characters were like friends, setting felt like real and storyline was captivating.

I love books about found family and this was a great example of that. Mort and Felix were so darn cute together and I just loved reading about them reconnecting and their bond together. This was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I have to admit I was a bit confused at the whole book.
I think part of it is because it’s my first book from this author and I’m not used to her writing. Some dialogues were confusing to me and didn’t flow naturally. Then again English is not my first language and I’m used to American writing.
I also think that although this can be read as a standalone, reading the rest of the series and the author’s previous book might make everything less confusing, at least I hope so... It felt like I had missed the beginning of the story and I had a hard time identifying all the characters and what happened to them.
I still rated it 3 stars because the romance in itself was really well done. Very slow burn (a bit to much maybe?) and the tension between our two characters was keeping me at the edge of my seat!
It was just hard to get attached to them because I felt like I was supposed to know them already.

Sometimes Anyta Sunday's titles are a hit or miss, especially when they fall under a "themed series". This one was most definitely a hit with me. I loved Ben and Jack - especially Jack. He was very much a strong and silent type of guy, which I absolutely loved. While this isn't a BDSM title, there were subtle flares of Dominance, and Discipline and I loved it.

Milo was a riot very sarcastic and much like his brother. Though one thing I will say, is that this also kind of reminded me of the famous TJ Klune's Bear, Otter, and The Kid title, which cannot be remade. His titles are one of a kind. So the one thing I had concerns about was a level of copycat-ism?? Still, entertaining nonetheless.

I enjoyed this book, however, I found remembering the characters and their names was at times difficult. The way it was written (from two different characters) made it interesting.

Wow, Happy For You, the third book in Anyta Sunday's Love and Family series is phenomenal. A deep story, full of so many wrongs to be righted, this one is absolutely amazing and emotionally riveting.

Mort is back, trying to right wrongs, and reestablish himself into Felix's family. But it's his relationship with Felix that is the one he needs to repair most. Felix, who's long been in love with Mort, is bitter and hurt by Mort disappearing, as well as returning.

Oh, Felix. Poor Felix is drowning in pain. He's the one holding his family together, but he's oozing pain due to his relationship with Mort. Even with Mort back, he struggles to trust him.

A combination of second chances, brother's best friend, and friends to lovers, it's a story of explanations and re-establishing trust. It's a slow burn, as they take awhile to get back on track with their friendship, let alone more. Their pasts are complex, with the reasons for pain firmly developed for the reader.

I love the family theme in this one. From the start, the author clearly establishes the bond between Mort and Felix's family. The pain his distance has caused is immediately conveyed.

But it's the writing that sets this one apart from other books. Every single look, every single touch, and every single emotion is felt by the reader. Every single one. It will rip your heart out along with them. The way the scenes are written, each one slowly carried out, will leave your heart pounding, melting, and hurting along the way. It's truly impressive with how damn emotional every scene is.

Happy For You is easily read as a standalone. This Anyta Sunday read is a stunningly sweet and tender second chance romance. Definitely check this one out when you're in the mood for your next intense book.

This is the first book I have read from this author. Since this is the third book in series I felt while reading Morts and Felex's story I was confused and lost a few times.. I felt like I missed something..
Their story was a good read but I felt it took to long for them to admitt their feeling .
But they got their happy ever after by the end.
I plan to read the first two books in series to see if it helps to add up some of my confusion.

Unfortunately I’m throwing in the towel with this book. I’ve tried a number of times to just continue with it. But, it just never kept my attention.

It didn’t flow for me. And I struggled with the characters. I’m kinda sad. Book 1 Taboo For You was a 4 star read for me. And book 2 Made for You was a 3 star for me.

I will still read this authors other books. This one just didn’t work for me.

I have a difficult time with Anyta books. I usually find them full of potential but always missing the mark in one way or another. But this one was not one of those. This book was a disaster from the beginning. Starting off, I felt like I was joining a program already in progress and truly wondered if there were missing chapters or a previous book I needed to read. This is book #3 in the series but book #2 I had already read (and enjoyed) and it had nothing to do with these characters. We are eventually filled in on what happened “Before” but things continued being cheesy and unrealistic and silly. I only kept reading to see what happened when F and M finally started to explore their feelings for each other and even that was unfulfilling. In summary: I didn’t care for this book.

Real love will feel like sunshine.

This one hit me hard in the feels. Mort Campbell was an honorary member of the Rochester family until he left them without an explanation. A year later he's back and desperate to rejoin the only family he's ever really known.
My heart hurt so badly for Mort, especially knowing why he left and what this family means to him.

I loved the love and support between Felix and Tiffany, how smart and sweet the twins were. Felix is such a sweetheart - he gives his all to his family but is scared to ask for anything for himself.

"He's the heart of our home, Mort. He keeps us all running."

This book!

I already loved this series, and when I found out there was a third book!
Let's just say I was extremely happy ;)

This book was so good, I mean the slow burn, the characters. Everythign about this book was amazing, I just loved every second of reading this and couldn't out it down.

I really enjoyed watching Mort and Felix relationship heal and grow inot something more.
The Family Relatioships and the topic of earning forginess, respect and love. Even when it comes to family, I think is touched on well.

Mort and Felix relationship and dinamic almost beats out Ben and Jack as my top faves in this series.

So! Here I am again after being blown away by the queen of slow burn romances. I swear that with every book of Anyta Sunday I get angstier and angstier wanting the 2 MC to kiss the fuck already!!!

But let's talk about the book.

Happy for you is told from 2 different POVs, Felix and Mort's. Felix is this guy who has had to step up in taking care of his family after the surgery of his mother left her with depression. Felix is the second oldest of 5 children and while he isn't living the the fairy tale life of his older brother, he can't complain.

Then we have Mort, our mysterious character. At the beginning of the story we don't know much about him, except that he was Felix's older brother's best friend, and basically a part of the family... and also that he left in the moment the family needed him the most.

When Mort finally returns after a year of radio silence, Felix must find it in himself to forgive him. Things get complicated when the person who is to blame for Mort's leaving is not talking and when Felix starts to get feelings again for him. Feelings that were supposed to be long buried, even more so after realizing that Mort was in love with his straight older brother.

Mort is obviously not cooperating as he is trying to get on the good side of everyone in the family again, including, and most especially, Felix's.

What will happen when Felix gets a license suspension and Mort is the knight in the shining armor? I guess you will have to read the book to find out.

This story hit all the good points for me: slow burn romance (really REALLY slow), dorky and funny characters, family relationships, a good deal of angst (though it is really a minimal amount) and a happy ending.

While this book was not THAT heavy on the romance and I DO prefer them more romance-oriented, I found it completely adorable and a very enjoyable read. I recommend it wholeheartedly to all fans of Anyta Sunday. I swear it doesn't disappoint.

This is the first book I’ve read in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a nice slow burn where you got to actually see the two MCs fall for each other, great themes of family, both biological and found, and a super sweet HEA. I love Sundays writing, it was almost lyrical and very beautiful.

First of all. This book was such a quick read. I finished it in under two hours, and it was just was I needed.
At first I thought the story was a bit confusing. There was so many characters you had to get to know all at once which confused me, but when I finally knew all of them I began loving the story.
It's such a sweet and heartwarming LGBT romance, and I will most definitely be reading more books from this author!
The characters are very easy to fall in love with and the romance in this book is really beautiful.
I ended up giving it 3.75 stars.

This was my first Anyta Sunday book, but it certainly wasn't my last! Though I am a bit peeved that I read this book out of context (which you totally can, but I've seen from other reviews that this is the third in a series and I bet I missed out on a lot of cameos etc.) but it was so fluffy and heartwarming and I'll definitely be checking out the first two books in this series soon!
Anyta Sunday has a way with words and I am so glad I read this!
