More of a 3.5 star rating.

Ferocious was a pretty good dive back into sci-fi fantasy.
The story follows cops/investigators who work between the human and paranormal world. There are rogue vampires and beings called Aura's are being kidnapped.

Ferocious has the standard world building and plot but this author is able to pull away and give you a creative page turning read. The characters weren't over written and I enjoyed the chemistry between our two main protagonists; Donovan and Farrah.

I think Ms. Williams has a great series on her hands here and I look forward to reading more.

I am so excited about this series. It's fresh and unexpected and I can't wait to see how it plays out. It could use some editing but the story more than makes up for it. I love Farrah and her friends and the back and forth between her and Donovan was so hot. I will definitely be on the lookout for the next in the series. This is on my list recommend list.

I'm sorry, but the grammar errors in this book were so constant that I simply could not read past the third chapter. If an unknown author sent this book to me I'd be line-editing for days. I have no idea whether the story ever unknotted itself from being a rather predictable 'whodunit' set in a parallel realm to mundane Earth and became a romance or not. When I skipped to the end the two were pledging undying love, again in a trite manner.

I need to be paid to read this; sorry.
