Emily ends up finding herself in first class after waiting in line at the airport and someone becomes loud and obnoxious. There she meets a sexy as hell man that makes her heart race am her panties melt. They share a sexually charged flight and from there things gets hotter. fast forward months and they guy she couldn't forget was starring at her across the desk. What is a girl to do when her new boss was the guy that rocked her moths before? The chemistry between the characters was so hot and intense. I read this book twice before I even wrote this review. Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book.

The Stopover is book 1 in The Miles High Club. Jim and Emily meet on a flight after Emily is upgraded to First Class and a problem at the airport where they need to land leads to a stopover. Their interaction through out the flight range from funny to smoking hot. The chemistry between the two was awesome and it leads to an amazing night. Fast forward one year and Emily finally lands the job of her dreams in NYC for Miles Media and guess who is the CEO. Honestly for the majority of the book I felt that this was going to be another 5 star from this author, but unfortunately there were a few things that kept happening that I had to hold back a star. First Jim is super naughty with a dirty mouth which I love. He's bossy and dominate which was sexy especially when Emily who was cute and feisty didn't listen. What is not sexy I also found he acted like a spoiled little boy to many times for me to ignore and while I love an alpha jerk, I hated the way he treated Emily at times. Emily was great, I loved that she was feisty and loved with everything she had. I could have done without all the begging she did after an incident at the end but I did like how she didn't immediately forgive Jim. Overall I would definietly recommend this book and I look forward to more in this series.

The Stopover was a delightful read of love, trials and tribulations. It spoke to me with easy reading and the rom- com genre was addictive for Saturday reading.
I was slightly disappointed in the ending though. It just seemed to stop.
Overall; it was a fun read that I would definitely recommend.

I've always been a sucker for a good romcom, and this book's blurb drew me in. The cover and the title was pretty intruiging too, and before I know it, I've already downloaded it and started reading. There are certain elements that i look for everytime i read romcoms, the chemistry of the couple, the plot, character development and of course how the two main characters got their HEA.

So for the chemistry... boy oh boy, Jameson and Emily sure got that in spades. The attraction was undeniable, and surely those first few pages hooked me into their world. Overall, the plot was good enough to make me curious until the very last page. There were some plot twists i did not see coming, but there were also romcom cliches that you would come to expect from this genre. The only thing that I would have asked for something more was their character development, which is why i couldn't give a 5 star. I wished both Jameson and Emily's relationship had developed sooner in the story. Although of course, i can't fault the author for sticking close to how couples these days develop into their relationship. I laughed, i cried, got annoyed on some of their stupid adult mistakes, and fell in love when they kissed and made up all over again.

The ending gave me all the happy feels and contentment i seriously crave from rom com reads. If you're into books that bring sexy, romance, angst, hurt, laughter, and happy into your heart. Then you might just enjoy this book as much as i did. Happy reading!

T L Swan is a genius! There’s just no other word for it. She has brought those characters into real life and made them human like. There are times in the book where you don’t know whether you want to kick or kiss Jameson. But let’s face it I think everybody is cheering for Emily from the beginning. I was unable to put this book down.

Hot, emotionally charged, sexy, romantic love story, that keeps you gripped until the finish.

A chance meeting with a deep connection, a one night stand that reaches deeper feelings than is first realised. High powered business, a new job that throws this all into the same orbit where the fireworks really start to happen.

Emotional feelings that can't be denighed, in the hardest of personal and professional circumstances finally won through for a happy ever after ending.

A great read.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put this book down until I finished it.

Jameson and Emily meet on a plane by chance & instantly sparks fly. After one hot night together, they go back to their lives. Fast forward a year and Emily lands her dream job at Miles Media, but she’s in for the shock of her life when her new boss turns out to be the one and only Jameson. Only this time Jameson is not the same person Emily met on that plane and she is not putting up with his hot tempered attitude and games. That is where the real story begins.

Filled with humor, love, drama, heartbreak and wonderful secondary characters, this book is a true gem. Emily has balls of steal and is not letting anyone boss her around and tell her what to do. She fights with her heart and knows what she wants and how to get it out of life. While Jameson is the definition of workaholic alpha male with a temper that can shake the walls. He doesn’t know how to have both the job he was made for and the woman who he can’t stay away from.

I couldn’t stop routing for this couple even when everything hit the fan, I still held out hope. I didn’t not want this story to end. Not only was this story beautifully written but the steam was off the charts. Damn.

This is my first book by TL Swan and it definitely wont be my last. This is definitely one of my favorite books of the year.

Thank you to the Montlake Romance and NetGalley for giving me with this wonderful ARC.

Not for me.
The romance was very poor with very little character development. The characters didn't seem to enjoy each other a whole lot outside of the bedroom. Disappointing.

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of The Stopover by TL Sawn in exchange of an honest review.

Took me by surprise how much I enjoyed this book. Even when at time I wasn’t okay with scenes that happened, I could still enjoy the book these flawed characters.

I must say, there isn’t much more I love other than insta-love. This book had it! Another thing is, a women who understand she needs to be respected and hears. We had it! This book was a hit for me in many ways, I can’t even begin to explain it.

It makes me want to read more of her work, for sure.

Nice idea to be further developed
Too much bickering and fighting
Too much sex the fuck like rabbits and do not communicate
He is an ass control freak no clubbing no talk with ex
Too many many pages
Being brief is a plus somethings
But nice idea and some parts were enjiable so 2 ⭐️⭐️

Five Sexy AF Stars!!

T.L Swan is an automatic one-click author for me and she has totally outdone herself with this book! This book is so hot that you’ll need a cold drink and a fan.

A one-night stand turns into something so much more. These two had an instant connection. I loved their banter, I loved their attraction to each other. The back and forth is fun and the sexy times are freaking insanely hot.

Jameson and Emily are my newest favorite book couple.

Addictive
Hot
Unputdownable
A MUST READ!

Spoiler Warning
I was so excited to read this book! I don't know why but I love romances that start at an airport/an flight to somewhere and the reviews so far were really good...unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations.

The book started promising with Jameson and Emily meeting on the plane. I think it was cute and they had good chemistry until Chapter 7. I think that's when it went downhill for me. How Jameson was cold one moment and then hot the next second was so annoying after a while. Additionally he was such an control-freak. He forbid Em to go clubbing without him and was so pushy. But at the same time he cracked me up so much! I would probably give one star just for chapter 19 the camping scene. Jameson was literally me when someone would ever force me camping!!! Honestly I don't know if the scene is funny or not but I was laughing so hard, cause I could relate to Jameson in that moment so much. He was such a diva and absolutely dramatic af, but I loved it! How he said he wouldn't stay anywhere without a bathroom - ME! Let me give you some other examples:

I hear another slap. "What the hell?" he cries.
"What?"
"These bugs are from Jurassic Park." He swings his arms around to get them off him. "No bugs are this big."

not one second later

<i>"Ahh" he cries as he slaps his arms. "I'm getting fucking malaria over here, Emily."</i>

<i>"For God's sake get the bug spray, princess. It's in the bag of supplies in the truck."
"We have bug spray?" He looks at me deadpan. "Now you fucking tell me, after I've lost four pints of blood already."
He storms to the truck and I hear the spray can go ... and go ... and go ... and go.
"Are you saving any for me?" I call.
"This is man versus wild, and every man is for himself. Don't you watch Survivor? I'm voting you off the island tonight," he calls before launching into a coughing attack and waving the air in front of him.</i>

<i>He smirks, and then a crash of lightning hits so close it sounds like it hit a tree right next to us.
"We're going to fucking die tonight," he stammers in a panic.</i>

Jameson the CEO of Miles Media pissed me off more often than not, but "Jim" or "Jay" or how he wants to be called when he's outside of work was cracking me up. Emily was just fine. I just didn't like how she got so dependant on Jameson and was so whiny & desperate at the "conflict". The side characters like Aaron, Molly, Tristan and Viagra Mike were a huge plus. I love reading about healthy friendships and family relationships!

Overall this book was just way too long. The story is over 500 pages long and some scenes were repetitive (the cold/hot shoulder mentioned above) and unnecessary. The Stopover is my first T.L. Swan book and I didn't want to continue with the series, but after reading the Sneak Peak for the Turnover I'm kind of looking forward to read Tristan and Claire's story.

Will i recommend it?-absolutely!
It is the best of TL Swan till date. So watchout for it!

Did a drunk person ever kicked your luggage at Heathrow Airport and talked nasty to you? Well and immediately after that have you been upgrated to first class where you met the most gorgeous man you have ever seen? No? Well our girl Emily has been there and done that. Or rather done him*ahem*.
Anyways this first book in the brand new series by TL Swan deals with a young, bright eyed Journalist Emily and the cynical billionaire bachelor Jameson Miles. They met on a roundabout flight from London to Chicago. Both of them were insanely attracted to one another from the very first time they met. Emily was returning home from a friend's wedding where she also had a not-so-meet cute with her then Ex and his latest side-piece(Emma's words not mine👐). And Jameson or "Jim" As he introduced himself as was too returning home to NYC. They met, they flirted, they watched Magic Mike together, they drank a whole lotta flight champaineand so when they had a Stopover at Boston due to weather inconviniences, Emily despite of herself had a very streamy one night stand with her "dream boat" of a man. But Jameson never promised anything more and never asked for her phone number,so Emily, though with great reluctance, let the idea of him go. But not before giving him her scarf to hide the hickey that she gave him(yeah Ikr?! A HICKEY!!!). Damn! that was some night between them.
Anyways, fast forward One year later, Emily had nailed her dream job at Miles Media. But the poor girl didn't know that her "Jim" is actually billionaire Jameson Miles and imagine her shock when she had a one one with the top guy and finds her beloved dream boat Jim behind the corporate desk at the top floor, giving her his panty melting smirk! They had a brief conversation where Emily(now with a boyfriend) tells Jameson that the night between them should never ve mentioned again. And also pointed out that he is just not the type of guy she usually goes after(BURN). Oviously our "big boy" Jameson does not listen to her and starts actively pursuing her, bribing her with chocolate, cakes and also observing her with a camera. These all should turn Emily off and make her run for the hills(basically the cam bit) but it has the opposite effect. Emily starts to vent partly because of her deadbeat, former football player boyfriend who lives at his parent's basement, plays video games all day and ignores her most of the time. And when he refused to move to NYC for a fresh start with her, they unfortunately broke up. Emily and Jameson soon after started an started seeing each other and ofcourse started falling in love. But none of them says so to the other one. But thats the good part of the story. The better half is filled with conspiracy and company fraud and unfortunately Jameson and Emily's budding relation gets caught in the middle. And when Jameson, despite knowing that Emily loves him, intensionally hurts her, the shit finally hits the fan. Cause you see, Emily decided that she loves herself more and deserves better(I whole heartedly agree with her!).....

“Falling in love with you is what isn’t fair. I never stood a chance . . . you knew that all along. You keep your heart in a tightly sealed Miles-High icebox, only to be looked at.”

God! My heart broke for them both. Jameson did some pretty irreversible things in their relationship which is pretty difficult to forget. What happened next you say? Did they get their happily ever after? Well you have to watch out for the book and see what happens to their story cause I don't wanna spoil the fun😂 Just that they do get their happily ever after but it was a long road and Jameson had to travel on his 'Grovelling' "car " to get to his happily ever after! All the secondary characters in this story were awesome! Specially Tristan. Omg! i can't wait for his story next! I loved every thing about this book and I am so so happy that I got a Advance Reader's Copy through Netgalley. I am very very thankful. And anyways I had a great time reading it. Finished it in almost 12 hours and I will recommend it to every one of TL Swan's fans and also anyone who enjoys a good ole story of a miserable, cynical, billionaire and his fiesty sassy "FB". Happy reading ...xoxo.

Not for me this book sorry and didn't like all the swearing (F words) in it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Amazon Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read this book (I did try!).

I liked the concept -- meet cute on a flight, amazing lay-over (yes, pun intended), reunited one year later to discover handsome man is a media mogul billionaire that you now work for. Overall, I felt the story went a little long, featured super needy characters and the writing would've been better with more polish. For instance, how many times does the writer have her heroine "giggle"? So many, I lost count.

So this book is amazing! Un-frickin-believable. Hands down one of my favorite recent reads. It is hilarious, heartbreaking, and hot! Jameson and Emily are amazingly flawed and wonderful characters and it was a hard/sad/wonderful treat reading their character development and their sizzling chemistry, from their very first chance encounter in an airplane, right down to the last words of the story. I loved it and can’t wait to read Tristan’s story!

Wow, This book had it all. It was hot, there was buildup/ chemistry, lots of humor and over the top alphaness. I love this book. I cannot wait for Tristan's book! I fell like Emily and Jameson's relationship is like a rollar coaster. Both of their tempers are horrible but I think it adds so much humor to the book. This book was really good. The story line sucked you in and i rad this cover to cover last night. I seriously think the author outdid themselves with the start of this series.

This book. This. Book. This book officially marks the completion of my reading challenge and to be honest I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I read this in every moment I possibly could which is extremely rare for me - normally I only read when I can sit down and devote a few hours to a book. I woke up this morning and immediately started reading. I ate breakfast and read. I brushed my teeth and read. I couldn’t put it down, and I definitely didn’t want to.

This book made me feel so, so many things. I didn’t expect for it to make me feel so much and in such a raw way — I never expect to be made to feel so many things; but the way these characters interact added with their internal monologues just made the story jump out of the page and hit me in the face with feelings. Repeatedly. I very nearly cried on numerous occasions, and found myself laughing out loud and grinning whilst reading. I love books that make me show my emotions and this definitely caused that.

Jameson. Oh Jameson, how I love thee. He’s hopped straight into my “adorable male characters” shelf. He’s so bloody cute? What’s more is that he has no idea. He thinks he’s a horrible person, thinks he’s so flawed when in actual fact he is, without a doubt, the cutest character I’ve read in a long time. Em calling him an idiot certainly makes sense and definitely rings true — he really is. An adorable, cuddly, fluffy, sexy idiot. I can’t explain my love for this character but I really wish I could find the words. His character development only adds to his adorable-ness. He grows and changes so much throughout the story and even though I loved his charm at the start, nothing compares to how I feel about him now! He’s definitely one of the best fictional characters I’ve ever read, and I think I may love him. Heheh!

Emily is the type of character that I spend a lot of time searching for. I wanted a woman who is fierce, passionate, fiery, sexy, loving, loyal and downright able to stand up for herself — and Emily is exactly that! She was the perfect embodiment of my ideal character, and I loved her to pieces. She is so well crafted and fantastically written. I didn’t feel like I was reading a damsel in distress - I felt like I was reading about a woman who can hold her own, isn’t afraid to stand up for herself and also is open with her love. She is an extremely intelligent, wise, witty character with a sharp tongue (which I love). I can’t, just like with Jameson, put into words just how much I love her character. She’s an absolute shining star and one of my favourite female characters that I’ve ever read!

This story was fantastically written. It was brilliantly paced, fantastically plotted and honestly it surprised me a lot. I was worried, as I always am, that it was going to be formulaic but I’m glad to say that wasn’t the case and the twists and turns genuinely took me by surprise and took my breath away; thus heightening my aforementioned emotions!

The author has done a wonderful job of crafting some amazing characters — even the secondary characters had an immense depth to them and didn’t feel wooden or present to be a plot device. They felt part of the story, and part of characters lives. I can’t wait for future books because I need more of the Miles brothers. I really do — I cannot wait for Tristan’s story!

I would recommend this to everyone, regardless of your reading tastes. It has a lot of romance, a sprinkling of drama, a mountain of comedy and a plethora of emotions. It really does create the best mix and a fantastic story; one that I will inevitably be going back to!

I lucked out and got an ARC on this one and I'm totally calling this one - the rest of the year be damned. I know there's still 3 months in 2019 but I'm totally putting this down as my personal favorite read of the year. Yes, I've read some other great books, but T.L. Swan gave me everything I always wanted and never knew I did in The Stopover. Maybe that's because I'm usually the Dark Reads girl and this was definitely not that but Jim, Jay, Jamison Miles - I am here to tell the world I am completely in love with you, no matter how delusional that makes me sound!

The Stopover starts with just that - a flight that is going from London to NYC but gets way laid and ends up having to fly into Boston for the night due to weather. Emily Foster, a young and feisty thing is flying back from London in coach but after an incident in the airport, she's bumped up to first class. And it's there that she meets the slightly older, incredibly hot guy that's seated next to her. From the very get go, these two are funny as hell. If they aren't bantering or arguing, they're flirting up a storm. The internal monologues from Emily's side since she occupies the first chapters had me cracking up and 'Jim', her travel companion for the flight had me cracking up with half his dialogue. Between the two of them, you literally get sucked in from the very first chapter and from there, there's not a place in the book that you find yourself slipping out. When they get deferred to Boston, they end up spending the night together and to say that it's mind-blowing, off the walls sex for them with a one of a kind chemistry would be an entirely accurate statement. However, morning comes and they go their own ways - Jim to NYC and Emily, having missed her job interview in NYC back to LA. No numbers exchanged, just a crazy transatlantic flight and a night to remember.

12 months later, Emily lands her dream job in NYC as a journalist at Miles Media and what would you know? Jim just happens to be Jamison Miles, the CEO of the biggest media conglomerate in the nation and Emily's boss's boss's boss. When she's taken to the upper floors to get the tour and meet management, Jamison is in and he recognizes her on the spot. Jamison has never forgotten that night a year ago and he let's Emily know that he hasn't and that he's more than interested in her. So Jamison starts his rather bossy and brusque pursuit of Emily and that's another thing that I loved about these two. Just as on the plane when he was just 'Jim', they're both bossy, both headstrong and as Jamison refers to Emily at times, she can be a snarky bitch which she readily admits. Jamison is used to having anyone he wants without even trying and Emily is just not that girl. She gives as good as she gets and the back and forth between them is entertaining as hell. I'm so used to the billionaire books where the billionaire has all the control and some dark back secret that makes him put the heroine through a ton of angst and she let's him walk all over her while secretly hoping he'll let her in. This book refreshingly skips the usual power dynamic and unnecessary angst and puts two people together where they both stand their ground.

Jamison was a delightful alpha but when it came to Emily he was also secretly mushy as hell. He runs the gamut from scotch guzzling, uptight, bossy CEO Jamison, to slightly more relaxed and at home billionaire Jay to Emily's 'Jim' when he let's all the stress and position go and just is - that's when he's his lightest and most fun. Emily is completely unimpressed by the money, the power or anything that comes along with it - she fell for her Jim on the plane - and for Jamison this is an absolute first and makes Emily his one of a kind.

Of course, there's a side drama and a huge conflict that comes along. But the B plot was well set up and there was nothing overdone or gratuitously added. Going back and looking over my highlights, it was all there for the taking and it definitely wasn't there to pad the story. And I dug how Emily, even with where the story was at, kept herself together and took on more than most could bite off.

I could quote this book to the high heavens and God knows I have enough of them. There are some classics in here. But I'm not going to add a single one because I don't want to ruin a single line or scene in this book for anybody that decides to read it. Where's the fun in already having somebody giving you some of the all time best exchanges in the book? I will say that anyone that knows me knows that I don't go in for laughter much but even with the flu I found myself laughing so hard I was literally hacking up my lungs and massively alarming the dog.

One final note: I remember reading Mr. Masters and really loving it and I skimmed a couple of her other books also but I have to say this author has evolved with this book. Massively evolved! It has two wonderful MC's who take an organic journey filled with humor, bickering, flat out arguing, great make up sex, flirtation, lust, compromise, misunderstanding and love. I also really enjoyed some of the side characters - my God, her friend Molly has some funny moments to add in and Tristan Miles is a lovely, lovely sidepiece.

So here's to camping in New Jersey, Bessie, Manhattan public transportation with some good old fashioned groveling and a side of Viagra Mike! Long live flight delays and really hot, bossy men!

**********10 Stars and to hell with the rating system. This is my idea of perfection.

(And yes, this is a totally honest review!)

Emily and Jim meet on a plane and their flirting becomes a one night stand they both don't forget. Twelve months later, Emily gets her dream job and they meet again. I like me an arrogant alpha and loved Jameson/Jay/Jim, he didn't disappoint in the role. Emily annoyed me a little with her indecision and constant moaning about how he's apartment or money didn't impress her but then she would call her own apartment shitty. I also found it strange that given she always wanted to work for Miles Media, she didn't google the company to find out who the CEO was or any details about management. The side characters Aaron and Molly, Emily's friends, were funny and added to the story well. Overall a good story.
Thank you Netgalley and TL Swan for the opportunity to read and review
