I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.

While this is the 4th book in the series, I was able to follow along with no major issues.

Are vampires real? That's the last thing Sofia is concerned about is vampires.... that is until her patient's family visits from Russia.. and suddenly her once weak and fragile 98 year old patient is now nimble and moving around easily.... Was she wrong to dismiss her patient's stories so quickly?!

Paranormal romance isn't my normal genre, but this was a good quick read.

With a rather interesting plot and characters, this book falls a little flat in the writing. The ending seems a little too abrupt and there is definitely something missing in the overall flow. It does, however, show a lot of promise.

Carmine is a nurse working 2 jobs. She sits with a 98 year old Russian woman., and works in a hospital. Trying to pay bills and taking care of her sick mother. A strange thing happens, family comes to see the Russian woman and things start changing. She’s getting younger and healthier. Can the remedy work for her mother? And wow that grandson Alexia is some looker!

Carmine: Blood and Thunder begins with Carmine taking care of her mother who has staggering medical bills due to a disease. She is working as a nurse and sits with another woman for the extra money to pay bills and keep food and shelter for her and her mother. The older lady that she sits with is always telling her that her daughter is a vampire and she will become one when the time is right. Due to several events that take place in the story, Carmine’s mother is offered “special medicine “ by the grandson who is friends with a very reputable pharmaceutical company and the mayhem begins......

I enjoyed the book but there was a flow that was missing. There was a good start, moderate flow through until the climax. I felt like some of the areas that should be addressed is the flow after the climax. The ending is rather abrupt and should be drawn out even more. The book as a whole has great potential.
