This was a fast paced, thriller that I didn’t want to put down once I started. I enjoyed the alternating perspective the story was told from and the short chapters. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

I really wanted to like this one, but I just couldn’t. I had trouble keeping things straight, but I did appreciate the building tension.

The Other Wife is the second Claire McGowan book I've read. Unfortunately, this storyline wasn't right for me. There are a lot of characters in this book, and not one of them is very likeable. The three seemingly separate storylines do come together nicely at the end, but I didn't find that I could relate to any of the characters or appreciate their situations. At the 25% mark, I had figured out the twist that was coming; it's possible that the author means for the reader to figure everything out early on, as there are plenty of hints to alert an observant reader of what is coming.

Based on my previous experience with this author, though, I certainly would love to try out other books by Claire McGowan. Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was a hard book to finish. I was interested enough to finish in one day but also so triggered by the content. If there has ever been a book about men behaving badly, it’s this one. So much of the storyline felt too hard to believe. I’m also realizing that I cannot handle the gaslighting of women in these kinds of novels.

This was another killer read by a very talented author. I haven't had a chance to read this book earlier, and I will not make that mistake again! This was a thrilling read, and recommended!

Lured into this story by the lovely, innocent seeming, a little bit sad pregnant Suzi. She has done wrong but you still feel sorry for her and dislike her husband.
The along comes the answer to Suzi's prayers - a kind and friendly neighbour - or is she ! Then it all happens and the story really kicks in and you are in it, willing to read quicker.
Cleverly told and very very descriptive.
I loved this book. It was a fantastic read thank you.
I did not see the twist coming and I kept thinking back to this book afterwards.
Definite 5 out of 5 from me thank you so much

I tried to get into this book, I really did, but it proved just not to be for me. The storyline was slow and sluggish and not captivating enough.

Lies, secrets, jealousy, murder, deception and some strangers always make an excellent and fun read. This book is written from different points of view from 3 different women. There are certainly several twists and plot changes along the way and the ending is fabulous. It did take me a few pages to get into the story, but once I was hooked I could not wait to see how it ended.

Suzi is pregnant and her husband, Nick does not trust her. They have moved from the city to the country and Suzi is not very happy with this move. Nora moves in next door and is full of secrets. Most of the characters are unlikeable but yet intriguing that I had to see what happened. I enjoyed the ending and was totally entertained. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review The Other Wife.

Fast-paced thriller. It was confusing at first, all the stories of each women. It wasn't clear how they all intertwined so it was a big cast to try to get to know and understand. But soon it was easy to piece apart who was who (but not necessarily the why). I found the mystery interesting and the thriller parts well done (and the music room frightening!) I liked this one.

Great book! Couldn’t wait to read it, and it didn’t disappoint! Grabbed my attention within the first two chapters, and then I didn’t want to put it down. Excellent character development - I think that every reader will find a character to whom they relate. I enjoy books where there is character development, and then also a surprise, and this book provided both! Looking forward to reading more from this author!

Suzi is a young married woman who is pregnant. She suspects her husband Nick is having an affair when she's the one that had an affair. When Suzi became pregnant, they moved out of London to a remote location with only a few houses nearby. Suddenly, Nora moves in across the street from them. Nora is a widow whose husband had recently passed away. The unlikely pair become friends and Suzi starts thinking she is losing her mind because strange things keep happening at her house.

There are a lot of characters in this book and several twists. I had figured out one part of it but did not anticipate the ending. The book definitely could have continued as there was a storyline there but it wouldn't be necessary to continue.

This was the first of Claire McGowan's that I had read, and I absolutely loved it. Now I'm currently reading one of her other books, The Push, and it is of the same high caliber—unputdownable. The Other Wife unravels the story of three woman, whose stories at first may seen unrelated, but weave together as one gets further into the text. The novel had many twists and turns and was incredibly addictive. The short chapters that alternate narration between the women kept me hooked. I look forward to reading more of author Claire McGowan's work in the future.

I enjoy this author and this book is another good one. Twists and turns galore, a little predictable because this style of narration and storyline is very popular right now. Well worth a couple hours of reading time but not something I will spend time thinking about.

I’m now a new fan of this author. This book was so good. It really kept me guessing. I liked that each chapter switched back and forth between characters.
