I love a romance and this was perfection!! A great well written fun book with great chemistry between the main characters

This just came off as more creepy and an invasion of privacy than romantic to me - found it hard to believe you could get over someone cyberstalking you just because they were pretty.

One thing I like about this kind of books is that you are certain that the story will end on a happy note and who does not like a happy ever after?

Often you already know that when boy meets girl they will become a couple for life and I am always curious to find out which bumps and turns the author will put on their path before they can ride into the sunset.

Sometimes you have a crush on someone, but they are so far out of your league, you could not reach them even with the hightest ladder. But... coincidences and miracles do exist and if you really love someone then there is no mountain high enough or no ocean wide enough to keep you apart.

Sometimes you have a secret you are afraid to share and when it comes out, you could kick yourself to the moon. Sometimes you are on the receiving end and it feels like your world has fallen apart and you act without thinking.

If you don't want to loose the love of your life, you sometimes have to put your pride and stubbornness aside and talk, talk and talk some more.

I fell totally in love with this story. Great read. 5 stars

Thank you

Such an adorable rom-com.
BUT i did not like how the hero hides big things from the heroine and the conflicts there.
But it was fast, cute and boyband like. But it was alright, not amazing though.

Quite a sweet little story about love, and teenage crushes come true as an adult. I related really heavily as someone who was extremely into boybands when I was Cassie's age - I don't know how I would even react in her situation, but I'd hope for a lovely boy like Jesse! I liked the conflict of friendship/relationships, this is such an important topic as friends are always there and boyfriends are often temporary...and when it's right...your friends will support you all the way.

I was really drawn to this book by its bright cover and synopsis. I loved boy bands growing up and was keen for some nostalgia. This was perfect escapism.

From the opening chapter I was hooked on what would happen between Jessie and Cassie. Would he reply to a random friend request from a Franko super fan? Could Cassie’s dream of falling in love become a reality? The hopeless romantic in me needed this to happen!

Cassie is a great protagonist. I found the character extremely relatable - who hasn’t had a crush! More than 15 years later, I still remember how devastated I was when my favourite boy band 5ive split up. Little old me was bereft knowing my dreams of marrying Abz were over - I was 100% here for Cassie living my teen dream for me 🥰. As a love interest Jessie was great too, with the right level of mystery. I enjoyed trying to figure out if I should like him or not.

I also enjoyed how friendship was a theme of this book too. Rachel is a fab best friend - not afraid to call Cassie out or defend her to the hill! Also extremely funny - I loved her and possibly needed a little bit more.

Now to locate the sequel - anyone got a copy?!

Okay, so Call Me, Maybe by Stephie Chapman is literally my 20-something dream of how I wanted my life to turn out…kind of.

Call Me, Maybe is the story of Cassie and how she loved a band so much when she was younger and how with the wonders of modern technology she was able to befriend the band member she loved years later and start a relationship with him. Okay. My summary actually sounds pretty creepy but Call Me, Maybe was not. It was a bit predictable at times but there was a comfort in that. Knowing that with any relationship there is going to be bumps in the road and dramas lurking around every corner.

I really, really enjoyed Call Me, Maybe. IT was easy, fun and lighthearted. I really wish that it had happened to me and Matt from Busted and I don't care who knows it.

Call Me, Maybe by Stephie Chapman is available now.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

▪️MY THOUGHTS
✔️This book was so good!! It was a great story of love, loss, family issues and friendship. I honestly couldn’t put it down. It was exactly what I look for in a RomCom - they started off liking one another and it just continued throughout the book. The issues that came up were real and it just provided the right amount of drama. The song Call Me, Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen came up a few times - and the funny thing about that is I’ve actually met her! Lol! Some may think the whole premise may be far fetched - but hey! Why couldn’t this happen in IRL?! It was such a fun and quick read with lots of Facebook messaging as a means used for dialogue! If you’ve ever been like me and Cassie and loved a musician when you were a teen you’ll love this book!

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to get to this book. It certainly is a book that you won’t want to put down. I loved all the characters and where this book took me. A lovely read.

I really loved this book!

This book really has a real nostalgic feel to it – it took me back to being a teenager again, and all the angst, worry and tears of falling in love for the first time . . . with a pop star. Cassie had a crush on Jesse, when he was part of the music band Franko.

Many years later Cassie finds him on Facebook, she can’t resist the temptation and adds him as a friend. She is super surprised when he actually accepts her request. They start talking to each other on Facebook and getting to know each other better. Cassie starts to think about having a relationship with Jesse – could that even be a possibility?

Call Me, Maybe is a real romance story packed full of love and teenage nostalgia. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who ever dreamt about meeting their teenage crush!

Call Me, Maybe is such a fun book, and it won't be my last read by Stephanie Chapman.

Cassie is living the dream, but not all dreams meet expectations, when she is able to meet up with her teenage crush after finding him on Facebook. From this initial premise, the book shows two people meeting as adults with flaws and vulnerabilities. Definitely a great rom-com!

Many thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of they book in exchange for an unbiased review.

This was such a cute book! This was the first book I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. The story was different from anything I've read recently and really captured my attention. It was so well written and the characters were fantastic.

This is a teenage dream come true . . . a second chance romance that really didn’t actually have a first chance, or did it? Cassie was just fifteen when she first met Jesse Franklin, the bassist in her favourite band, Franko. It was then she decided she wanted to marry him but, as with so many teen fan dreams, it didn’t come true. Now almost thirty years old, chatting with her childhood friend leads to a trip down memory lane, including looking up Jesse on Facebook. Imagine her surprise when he accepts her friend request! The two start chatting . . . . then they meet when he has an unexpected gig in London. The chemistry is definitely there, but is this going to be a dream come true or a total nightmare?

There are just so many questions! Is it the dream person or the real one that she’s in love with? What secrets is he keeping from her? With his somewhat dysfunctional family, his ex and a sister-in-law who just can’t keep out of his business, you just know there’s trouble in paradise. With her best friend about to get married and needing her help, will Cassie manage to focus on her or will Jesse prove too distracting? Can long distance relationships really work? Can Cassie believe that he really will, “Call me, maybe”? It is definitely a story that shows how great friends can help you!

This is a fun romance with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing – I mean, who wouldn’t like to meet their teenage star crush but what would happen if you did? I enjoyed reading this light hearted yet dilemma filled contemporary romance, just right for when you want something not too heavy to escape into.

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review after choosing to read it.

Loved this cheery rom-com so much - a fun read for a holiday or to curl up with at home. When Cassie discovers her teen boy band crush on Facebook years later, what's the harm in sending him a message... From London to LA this book is the perfect slice of escapism right now.

We’ve all had crushes on the stars of the day and Cassie was no different, apart from the fact she was lucky enough to meet hers again when she’d grown up. Despite loving the description of this book I didn’t think it was as good as it could’ve been and I didn’t even get into it until well after the half way mark. I liked Jesse, but Cassie seemed to think an awful lot about herself and was a “me, me, me” type of gal. There was too much about her best friend’s wedding which didn’t interest me in the slightest. A nice dollop of fluffy chic-lit to while away a long journey.

Call Me, Maybe literally made me giddy!! Being in my mid 30's, I was definitly a huge boy band groupie growing up so I felt this book deep in my soul!! I could only imagine what it would be like if a member of one of those boybands I loved began corresponding with me. I would definitly flip shit!! Cassie is the perfect main character. She's witty and adorable and just comes off so chill even when inside she's freaking the eff out over Jesse Freakin' Franklin!!!

Immediately, I was sucked into this book. It is Rom Com at its greatest. I can't believe this book was previously released and somehow missed my radar. This book has all the elements. A second chance romance, long distance love, online dating, huge secret dropped like a bomb, grand gesture and etc. If this could be made into a movie it would probably be one of my all time favorites because its definitly one of the best books Ive read this year.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5 out of 5) Stephie Chapman is an Ace when it comes to writting Rom Coms. I pray on all that is holy that she continues to write more stories in this same genre. Any girl who has ever loved a pop singer definitly needs to read this book. It will bring back all the memories of Teen Beat magazines and requesting videos on MTV's TRL. I even had to listen to Boyband Spotify stations after finishing Call Me, Maybe.
