This was an entertaining read.
A comical look at the ups and downs of parenting.
And you don't have to be a parent to enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Brian Gordon's anecdotes and stories on the journey of parenthood. The book was well set out, starting from pregnancy and tracking through the primary school years. The comics themselves were generally single frame pictures - more could have been done with them. But I definitely enjoyed it. Teens would probably enjoy the comics, parents will definitely relate. Very amusing. Definitely getting a copy for a friend about to be a new dad.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I am the hugest fan of Brian, I follow him on social media and retweet/share his posts often being a parent myself. With humour he shares the up and downs of the joys of parenthood, you'll find yourself laughing, nodding, nudging your partner to show them bits as well as having a little sob.

I've loved these comics every since they made the rounds on social media. Hilariously represent parenthood, and somehow the duck illustrations only make it funnier.

Thank you to Net Galley for an ARC for an honest review.

I have truly enjoyed reading Winging It. Coming from a single lady who is not planning to have any kids, I love that the author made fun on being a parent. Even after ‘perfecting’ one method with one kid, the same method will definitely not apply to the next. Laughed hard and re-read some parts again as its so entertaining.

*funny and entertaining*
One of those parenting books done well.
The illustrations are funny and the situations that parents face are portrayed well in a funny way. But thinking about the situations that parents face, I felt like crying. And with these mix emotions of laughing shadowed by gratitude towards how much my parents must have gone through raising four of us, I was quite enjoying this book. And yes, I want more of this series. Kudos to the author and the publishing team for such an amazing book.
Thanks #NetGalley for the book #FowlLanguageWingingIt

Though I have no children, I have worked with them since I was 18. I have always appreciated that parents had them full time and whatever experience I had, parts had it 100 times worse. Fowl Language shows me this is true. So I laugh at how funny the content is and with solidarity with parents.
I love that Brian Gordon tells it how it is and is so relatable. The ducks make it cute and not so relatable it hurts.
I would recommend this 100 percent for a good laugh.

I am happily childfree by choice and circumstance but I enjoy reading these kind of books. This one is funny and the illustrations are very cute. And each part is very realistic so I bet a lot of parents can relate to this book. This is a quick and fun read.

Fowl Language: Winging It by Brian Gordon is an absolutely amazing collection of funny and totally relatable comics. This collection is set into chapters and at the start of each chapter is an essay from the author adding a little extra to the book.

I  received a free digital copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

I freaking loved this comic collection! The illustrations are great and it's funny. I don't think there's much more to say than that.

Another hilarious, insightful look at life from Fowl Language. These comics manage to encapsulate so much of daily life - highs, lows, frustrations, and confusions - with some really expressive ducks. Even if you're not a parent, you can relate to their struggles and their feelings.

I love following Brian Gordon's instagram page "@fowllanguagecomics & seeing snippets of his comics. This collection fulfilled all expectations. He organized his work to tell the story of parenthood in such an amusing and truthful way! I especially loved each chapter's introduction where he shares more insights behind the comics. A funny, quick, and light read. I will purchase this for friends, along with a bottle of wine, for when parent life get's tough.

Brian Gordon has nailed this parenting thing. Or at least, the painfully honest - and consequently hilarious - way of depicting it. His latest book is a combination of spot-on comics and humorously insightful essays about everything from potty training to holidays. Gordon may be "Winging It", but we are so glad to be along for the ride!

Absolutely loved this. Definitely relatable for any parent out there. A must read for anybody who is also thinking about being a parent.

The last pane/comic really touched me the most since my lil kid is going through that phase too. When she used to take forever to get to sleep because we'd need to read a storybook first, then cuddle. Used to test my patience since I work at night and the sooner I start, the sooner I can get it done and go to sleep too. But now the cuddles are shorter so what happens is I'm the one who lingers longer and end up falling asleep anyway.

Everything in this comic is absolutely true. There are a lot of nuggets of wisdom in it that are presented in a funny way.

This is an absolutely adorable comic even to someone like myself who is happily childless by choice. These ducks have a wholesome and very real family dynamic, and they are also genuinely funny to boot. Still make me glad I don't have kids though! HA!

I am a fan of this comic on Facebook and Instagram, so I was excited when I found this book.
It was full of hilarious panels about what having a family is like.
If you have a family, or are thinking of having one, and need a good life you need this book.

I really enjoy this series. An honest look at parenting, the good, the bad, the ugly. As a child-free-by-choicer who adores her godchildren and is a fantastic aunt 2/3 of the time, I especially enjoy this series. Because Brian Gordon showcases all the parts I adore, and pokes fun at all the things that cause me to never want to have children of my own.

This series is broken down into different aspects of parenting young children, from infancy to "dear god, would you please stop growing up so quickly". Each chapter starts with an essay, introducing the ideas presented via the strips. It's a lovely insight into his parenting that we get from the comics, but elaborated on.

Brian Gordon isn't the model parent, but he's the realistic one no one wants to admit they are.

Thanks to the publishers for sharing this one. As a parent I found it very relatable. I enjoyed it as much as the last volume, and thought the addition of the essays this time was a nice touch. My full review appears on Weekend Notes.
