Older students who are interested in economics will learn a lot from this book. Many high school students participate in a stock market game, and this book could extend their learning.

This a series of short essays on a wide variety of current and sometimes complex topics. Each one is explained clearly and are pretty light. The author is intelligent and writes well. I'd prefer more depth for the topics, but this is a Beginner's Guide, so I guess I shouldn't complain. This is a series of starting points with an excellent glossary.
