I knew from the get go that I was going to fall hard for Asher. Hell, I knew it in book 1 when he came onto the page. I was not disappointed.

I love second chance romances. I love the history between the characters and all
the angst that comes with it. Asher and Remy have a past riddled with shared heartbreak, and this is where the angst that I like so much comes into play. Asher blames himself for the shit storm that Is Remy’s life at the moment, and she’s trying to move past all the hurt. I could really feel all of the emotion. It grabbed a hold of my heart very early on.

One of the things that I found a bit frustrating was the lack of communication between the hero and heroine. I mean, I understand where it comes from, but a conversation would saved them from a whole bunch of sadness. But that’s not how most romances books work. And honestly, even though it was something I struggled with, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m a sucker for punishment. I crave the journey.

This is a great series. It takes place in a small coastal town, and has some quirky characters that you might find in a place with a small population. Lots of busybodies who mean well, but aren’t so subtle in their prying ways. I like that the main and secondary characters are close. They have a lifetime of memories between them all.

Mixed in with all the crazy sexiness in this book is some really good suspense. There’s a new character that’s introduced, and I can’t help but hope he gets a story. He has that anti hero thing going on, and I find those guys absolutely irresistible.

Everything moved along really well in regards to the plot. I found myself wanting to read late into the night, even when tiredness was hanging over my eyelids. That doesn’t happen all that often for me. I like losing myself in a story that makes the lack of sleep totally worth it. Wicked Sinner did that and more. It was fun, suspenseful, and wickedly delicious.

Wow, what an amazing story!

This action-packed romance hits the ground running, with Asher interrupting Remy's wedding to arrest the groom. Devastated when she realizes the truth, Remy seeks solace from her friends, and can't help but include Asher in that circle. Just when it looks like she's picking up the pieces and moving on with her life, things start to get really scary and it turns out there's a lot more to the story of the conman who was after her inheritance.

I was enthralled with this story right from the start, and couldn't put it down. As Asher and Remy spend more time together, they begin to understand what when wrong all those years ago. The reawakening of their romance is complicated by Asher's investigation into her ex and determining the reason behind the threats she's now facing. Every bit of this story is intricately woven with the rest, tying up all the loose ends while revealing a complex conspiracy where not every villain is a bad guy and some fights are best left for another day.

There's so much heartfelt emotion in this book, and it's exquisitely written with just the right amount of steam and angst. Their HEA was triumphant, and the epilogue left me stunned and waiting for the next installment of this series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Remy Brennan is about to say "I-do" when her ex-boyfriend stands up and objects... but not for reasons that one would think. She is about to marry a man that isn't who he claims to be and Remy's ex Asher Sullivan isn't about to let her get caught up in his web of lies. He claims he is doing it to protect her, but Remy has a hard time being thankful, because she learned a long time ago that trusting Asher comes with major complications... ones that can lead to a broken heart.

But little does she know Asher has a plan, one that involves him mending her broken heart, and repairing the damage he caused between them all those years ago. But just as his plan gets underway secrets come to light and threaten to end their happy little reunion.

Wicked Sinner is a steamy second chance romance that promises to squeeze the heart in all the right places. This is a story about forgiveness, making amends, and rediscovering lost love, and it's a beautiful one at that... Ms. Kennedy's words had me smothered in feels, and holding back the tears. I loved this unique pairing, even though they were at odds they still complimented one another nicely, and it was easy to see that they were meant for one another. They had palpable chemistry, and could have the temperatures rising at the drop of a hat, but they also had a lot of healing to do too. I felt all their pain, passion, love, and resistance to forgive... they really gave my heart a work-out. If you like your stories with a bits of angst, suspense, and loads of feels, then Wicked Sinner is for you...it delivers that and more!! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy from the publisher, via NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I dont know why but this book just felt off to me. I really struggled to like the one of the main characters. She just didn't seem to be fully fleshed out to me. It was frustrating to continue to read her pushing the reason her life is a mess on other people. Just barely got myself through this one.

Asher and Remy were an item but he breaks her heart and goes to Washington to be a FBI agent. Ten years later, Remy is about to be married when Asher crashes her wedding. He is a con man after her inheritance and Asher has been investigating him. After he is arrested, Remy gets all his stuff out of her apartment and finds a duffel bag full of money. Since her inheritance didn’t go through because she didn’t get married, she keeps the money to open up a new age potion store. What she doesn’t expect is someone coming after her. As Asher and the guys try to figure out why a criminal would be after Remy, Asher will do anything to protect her. Can Remy get out if the mess she has made and finally get her happily ever after?
Good story about two people who must grow and deal with the pain that life has dealt them. Sexy scenes. Suspense. The only thing that I didn’t like was Asher constantly blaming himself for ever bad thing that happened in Remy’s life. Although some of her decisions are questionable, she’s a big girl and has to take responsibility for her actions, which she does,

Holy $hit! This book had me HOOKED! I was afraid to put it down and ended up staying up way past my bedtime. It was worth it though. Asher wants to protect Remy. He needs to protect Remy. He is still in love with Remy. But he thinks he is not good for her. He thinking is damaged and he needs to move past that. Remy is mad at Asher. Not just for their past, but he arrested her fiance at their wedding. Well, the con man who wanted her for her money, at their wedding. I love how these two come together and work through their "issues". There is an HEA, but the journey? Oh the journey kept me glued to my kindle... everything else was ignored.

This book was received as an ARC from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) - Forever Yours in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book I was expecting to be like 50 Shades of Gray or a Maya Banks series but this book was more on the serious side rather than sensual and for me with reading the description and premise of this series was surprisingly disappointing. There were some thrilling parts such as Asher breaking up Remy's wedding uncovering the news that Remy's husband is a con artist and set to be after Remy's family fortune leaving her in the dust and oblivious to the situation. I also did not like how Remy was portrayed a young naive woman that was completely blindsided by first Asher leaving her and now being a victim of theft and then it all comes crashing down on her head when Remy fights for her love AGAIN and that is all she wants right now. I am usually a huge fan of these books but this is the first time ever that I have read and finished this book and felt confused rather than excited.

This may be too much for our Romance/Fiction collection at our library. That is why I give this book 3 stars.

This was such a good romance novel. I loved all the characters and even though I hadn't read the first book in the series prior to reading this one I will definitely be going back and reading it. If you like romances with more of a story to it and less constant smut this is definitely the right book for you. Asher is a detective with a troubling past trying to win back his high school sweetheart Remy. All the side characters are just as lovable and I grew attached to each of them.

Full review to be published online in late October.

WICKED SINNER is the second book in the new 'Dangerous Love's series by Stacey Kennedy. Having more of a mystery element and being not quite as erotic as some of the authors other books has been a definite step up for the author's work. Having walking away from his longtime love, Remy Brennan, ten years ago, Detective Asher Sullivan is back in his hometown and ready to save Remy from some dangerous criminals and to finally win back the woman he lost. But with secrets between them, this may be the final straw that separates them for good. This is a second chance at love story with a good suspense plotline.

Remy was left broken hearted when Asher Sullivan left her without a good bye when they were young. Now that Asher has returned; Remy will not put her heart at risk again. Story was not that interesting to me and the characters seemed not to make me turn the pages very fast. Will keep with this series as Rhett and Kinsley's story is up next. Copy of this book was provided by Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley with no requirments for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion.

Where are the sound effects when I needed them...wooooohh. Damn Stacey Kennedy...this is one freaking amazing story. Asher was such a great guy and his pain was just killing me. I had so moments in this story when I either smiled, laughed and even teared up. So many emotions. I loved Remy so much. What a touch cookie. That beginning..when she smiled at him because she thought he was there for one reason but really it was another. (Don’t want to ruin it for the readers). And when she would tell him of the dreams of his mom and then that last dream. And when Asher came in with those gifts...all the feels!!! AND....what a set up for Rhett and Kinsley! Now you’ve left me clamoring for more!!!!!! Dangerous Love is everything. It has such a great story too with the money.

This is Asher and Remy book, Asher is a detective and Remy was once his entire world! Until he broke her heart. For her own good he had to leave her! Now years later he crashes her wedding! Remy is certain he’s come back to her! Instead it turns out Remys groom is a ConMan trying to scam her out of her inheritance! Remy ends up finding a duffel bag of hard cold cash! In her mind because it’s her jerk of an ex she decides to use the money because she doesn’t get her inheritance unless she’s married so why not use his money?! he’s in jail anyway he’ll never know! Unfortunately some very bad people come looking for that money! This book was really really good! I read the first book and enjoyed that one also. Wicked Sinner was a sexy and emotional second chance love story. I enjoyed the connection between Asher and Remy and could not stop reading!

After walking away from his longtime love, Remy Brennan, ten years ago, Detective Asher Sullivan is back in his hometown and ready to save Remy from some dangerous criminals and to finally win back the woman he lost. But with secrets between them, this may be the final straw that separates them for good.

I enjoyed this story and the chemistry between them. Asher was brash and bold and his feelings for Remy were never in question. I enjoyed his chase and the love between them.

Sometimes a woman just needs her man to get down to business, “I won’t fall in love with you,” she said firmly, then grabbed his face. “Asher, shut up and have *** with me already.” Asher is really nonchalant about things, “talk about how you ravished the hell out of me last night. Three times ,” Asher said, drawing her attention back to him. “Well, twice”— he winked—“ I did the ravishing" I liked this book, I loved Asher.

When an ex shows up to stop Remy Brennan's wedding, she doesn't realize that is only the beginning of her run in with Asher Sullivan. He was a fool to walk away from her over 10 years ago to make his career dreams come true. Now, he realizes it has always been Remy and wants her back.
