Terrific book. Absolutely loved it. Compelling characters and story line. Kept me interested the entire time.

A perfect summer read! Ruth sells her company and decides to move to Provincetown (where she met her husband who she's divorced from)to begin her next chapter. She rents a house and finds that sometimes life throws you some curveballs. Loved this book and really want to see a sequel to find out what happens with my new "friends"

I have read and enjoyed all of Jamie Brenner's novels since The Wedding Sisters, but Summer Longing is my absolute favorite! I loved it and was so invested in all of the characters and the intertwining sub-plots. I could picture the setting of Provincetown so easily thanks to the author's vivid descriptions. It was also nice to revisit some of the characters from The Forever Summer. I liked the mystery aspect too and had fun trying to guess who left baby Mira on Elise and Fern's doorstep.

I look forward to Jamie's novels every year and am already excited for 2021!

Perfect beach book! I don’t know how I’ve missed Jamie Brenner’s books but I won’t be making that mistake again! Her description of the New England coast is so detailed you can almost seek the seawater. The storyline was enjoyable and left me hoping for a sequel as I would love to spend more time with these characters. Definitely recommend.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I was thrilled to start reading this book and find out that it had a same-sex couple and that it wasn't in the LGBTQIA lists. In general, though the book was too wordy and too drawn out for me.

Jamie Brenner never disappoints when you are looking for a great chic lit book! The characters are so well developed and leave you feeling as if you know every single one of them. Another great read by Jamie Brenner!

Thank you to netgalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This story truly had a lovely premise, was written with delicate regard to sensitive topics, and had a slew of beautifully built characters. It was just too wordy for me... and I’m sure I’ll be in the minority for saying that. It read with a very monotone feeling- exploring the ups and downs, ins and outs- of topics such as biracial same- sex marriage, infertility, parent/child upset, teen pregnancy, + adoption. So yeah, a lot is covered and done very well which I can absolutely appreciate- I just needed more ‘oomph.’

This book was just okay for me. I think the release date of May 05 will help though! I think it could be a great, quick, fun, beach read.

This author is becoming a fast favorite judging by how I have devoured all 3 of the books I have read by her. The characters in this book were believable and timely---I appreciate when authors write with inclusive to different lifestyles than my own. I enjoyed the mystery and did not suspect for a second what the ending would be. I find that this author writes her character with emotions and problems that could happen to anyone. Another winner from Jamie Brenner!

This was pure delight! Tuck this in your beach bag or take it on vacation, it’s a wonderful read. This is the story of Ruth Cooperman, a woman starting her second act by a life changing move to Provincetown. But, the simple life she craved quickly becomes very complicated. The catalyst is a mysterious infant being left at her door and the path that follows.

The summer in P’town changes the lives of everyone who surrounds Ruth. Most profound is the rebuilding of the relationship with her estranged daughter. I don’t want to be a spoiler, but there are so many interesting situations in this novel, that I think a book club will devour it and feast on the myriad discussion topics.

Jamie Brenner continues to engage me with her novels. I look forward to reading many more.

Thank you Netgalley, for a really delicious read.

SUMMER LONGING is typical of Jamie Brenner's smart and yet breezy style. Her stories always have that "on vacation" feel to them, like you want to settle in on a beach with a margarita and delve into the pages. I particularly enjoyed the setting of Provincetown. Although I've never been in person, now after reading this novel, I feel almost as if I've visited. Brenner does a lovely job of conveying the sights, sounds, and smells.

A fun look at Provincetown through Jamie Brenner's characters who are realistically written and believable.

A story of love, rediscovery, new beginnings, opening your heart and taking chances. Set in magical Provincetown, which the author captures perfectly, its spirit, beauty, traditions, and even its humongous house prices. Living In Eastham, I truly enjoyed her descriptions of Ptown.
