Thrilling plot which I could not put down. Brilliant characters, and twists and turns. Highly recommend to other fans of this genre!!

Murder on Grange Road, the second installment to the JD Pickens Mysteries series, was a great suspense filled book. I would love to read the first book to see what had happened previously. Five stars.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. Like any good who-dun-it there are many twists and turns before the reader gets an inkling of who is the likely murderer. The story moves along and a good pace. The relationship between the sheriff and his coroner wife is a bit stilted with the author trying to show they are maintaining a professional relationship while on the job. The attempts at intimacy by the two are awkwardly presented and unnecessary to the story.

Perfectly reminds me why I prefer fictional murders: no budget wrangling, fine networking, and most of all, the cases get solved and the bad guys are punished. Not much like real life.
I enjoyed the way friendship and networking got the job done and that the ME and sheriff not were not only married to each other but worked so well together. All of the characters are realistic and imperfect but believe in what they do. As to the bad guys, that was so well done that even the reader has a hard time sifting for legal proof. A great read and I look forward to more!
I requested and received a free ebook copy from Gatekeeper Press via NetGalley. Thank you!

A mystery that failed to create thrill. Lot of characters, boring conversations. So much going on at the same time. Picked up pace sometimes but not upto the mark.

There are many characters in this novel for the reader to remember. It is somewhat of a distraction.

This book is fairly well written and plotted. It does tend to wander, however. While I basically liked the characters, I felt that there was too much talking and not much action. The promo for the book talks about the medical examiner, Dr. Marge Davids (Pickens' wife), playing a large part in the story, but she does not. It is more about Sergeant Amy and her part in the investigation, as well as that of the other police officers.

I want to thank NetGalley and Gatekeeper Press for forwarding to me a copy of this book to read and review.

This is an engaging and entertaining mystery. Lots of characters kept me alert as to who was who, but not really an issue. This was my first experience with this series. I would like to read the first one and also look forward to reading the next one.
