this was a great start to a series, the characters were great and I really enjoyed the mystery that was written.

This is a wonderful new series full of suspense and excitement. This is book 1 of the Katerina Mills trilogy but I see it's going to be more than 3 books. Naked Man is fairly short but a great introduction to Katerina and her life. She's a college student in need of money for tuition and living. She's has just quit her job to a sleazy lawyer , also her lover, who liked the fact that she had a perfect memory and never needed to write things down. Katrina helps an old client and is given a job as a fixer. Jobs no one else will do for big bucks. Katerina is a good person who is desperate for money. Buy all three at once, you won't want to wait. You'll be hooked on this series. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A girl desperate for money gets herself involved in rather more trouble than she can handle with no obvious way out.
I found this totally unbelievable.
I was given this book by Netgalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary and impartial review.

The Fixer: The Naked Man by Jill Amy Rosenblatt, a quick novella. Katerina is starting a new job as a fixer, but more and more she finds herself under water...

Becoming an inadvertent "fixer" leads a young college student just trying to make ends meet into some precarious situations with some volatile players and one thing for certain, they all see her as the prize. A strong female lead with a sarcastic sense of humor and a crush on a handsome thief makes for an entertaining read with this interesting and complex plot. This is the first of a trilogy and I am definitely hooked and ready to read the next installment.

A novella introducing Katerina Mills, college student, who has worked for a lawyer and is now doing temp jobs to help with her expenses. Katerina gets a call from one of her ex-boss's clients and finds herself in a room with a naked man pacing erratically, an unconscious woman in his bed, and a termagant wife due to arrive shortly.

Katerina's successful extraction of the woman, sending her home to her husband before either spouse becomes aware of the affair, leads to an offer she finds hard to refuse: fixing problems for the rich and powerful. Kat needs the money and reluctantly accepts the offer.

I like the premise, but there were a number of things that I found less appealing. The next book, which is full length, is on my list. I'll make up my mind about the series after reading the next entry. :)

Intriguing intro novella.

Katerina is a law student in New York, she's recently split up from her lying, cheating, associates-with-criminals, boyfriend (and boss) and is working dead-end jobs trying to pay the rent on her scuzzy apartment. Then she gets a call in the middle of the night from one of her-boyfriend's clients. He needs help urgently, his "lady friend" is naked and unconscious in his bed, his wife is due any minute and her husband is not someone to cross.

When Kat successfully extracts the naked woman without the client's wife being any the wiser she is offered a job as a "Fixer" or "B-Girl" by the mysterious MJM Consulting. In return for a significant cut of the fee Kat will "fix" anything her client wants: finding out the likes of a billionaire's girlfriend so that he can buy her a birthday present; retrieving an incriminating video tape from a hidden drawer in a desk; collecting food from the local Thai restaurant; all in a day's work for Kat.

Without spoiling this novella or the next novel (which I am currently reading) I think Kat is being a little naïve about her clients. I think she's wrong about the man in the blue car (or at least his employer) and I have my suspicions about the actor.

Anyway, this was short, intriguing, fast -paced and I have already requested the second and third books.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I love Katerina! She's feisty, determined, and charmingly naive. This story grabs you from the start and doesn't let go. There is humor, zany antics, and mystery with a side of murder. I am off to read the next one!
