i think this was my favorite in the series, the author was able to take what I enjoyed in the first and added to it. The characters were great and I enjoyed reading this.

This is book 2 in the Katerina Mills series. You'll want to read book 1, Fixer, Naked Man first. A wonderful continuation with all the characters back with a few twists and turns. I know that you shouldn't feel sorry for the criminal in books but in her mind, Katerina thinks she is righting wrongs. She's learning new things about the world of thieves and criminals while earning the money to stay in school and support her mother. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The Fixer: The Killing Kind by Jill Amy Rosenblatt, the story continues. Katerina is still working as a fixer and the jobs keep coming, she is being pulled in so many directions and the danger keeps piling up...

This one is definitely darker. Kat has many irons in the fire and more is going on behind the scenes. There are complex characters, loads of action and suspense. I really want to solve the mystery surrounding Alex. This one leaves the reader with a ton of questions. I can't wait to finish the next one.

The second book in a trilogy and I must say that I am absolutely hooked! As I am reading the books back to back, it is like one full sized novel that just keeps going rather than the novella's that they are. Great character development with a somewhat naïve female college student who is quickly becoming jaded with society as she tries to untangle the mess that has become her life when she fell into the career as a fixer for the wealthy, especially the criminal elements of the wealthy. This book did not disappoint as the action kept coming as she attempted to extricate herself from several sticky situations. I absolutely can't wait to get started on the next book of this series!

Kat is still on probation with MJM and her jobs are getting more complex. She's obsessed with the OCD thief Alexander Winter whilst being forced to date the cop Ryan by her well-meaning but barking-up-the-wrong-tree friend Emma. Her lunch client Simon Marcus is a pig, her father is having a mid-life crisis, she's sourcing 'herbal' assistance for an author, and she's conflicted over her role in the murder of her first client's wife. Oh and now a DEA agent has her in his sights!

This is much darker than the introductory novella, Kat is starting to realise that each job, each contact, draws her deeper into a world of billionaires with no scruples, mobsters and drug dealers. There's violence and a pervading fear, then adrenalin-pumping action.

I'm loving this series, I think Kat is still incredibly naïve, she's trusting the wrong people and some of her mistakes come back to haunt her in this thrilling novel.

I'm already one-third of the way through the next one!

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
