Well the plot thickens! Blaise and Seraphine bring new meaning to kissing cousins! I absolutely adored this book! It will have you reading into the night. I do not want to give anything away, and it is definitely best to go into this book blind. I cannot wait for book three to see what she does with Pascal! Love the twists in this story! 5 stars

Disarm follows on from Discretion but it is Seraphine's point of view. A fabulous book as I knew it would be! I could not put it down! I really enjoyed Blaise's character and like Seraphine I wasn't sure on whether or not he could be trusted. But wow! The chemistry between these two! Hot! I have loved the storyline with these 2 books and I am hoping there will somehow be a book about the 3rd brother as he is a mystery and I would love to know his story.

* I recommend that you read Discretion before Disarm.

Appearances can be deceiving. That's especially true for the Dumont family, from the outside they have it all, a very successful fashion house in Paris and everything that comes with it, fortune and fame included. From the inside of the family tragedy and betrayal are everywhere. Seraphine's grieving the loss of her father who she believes was murdered by his own brother. Needing to know the truth, she becomes a target herself. Feeling alone in the world again since both of her parent's deaths and her brothers living on a different continent she doesn't know who she can trust. Blaise has quietly loved Seraphine from afar most of their lives. Knowing to be with her would complicate an already messy complicated situation his actions and words to her range from indifferent to mean. Blaise himself is suspicious of his father's involvement in his uncle's death. He just has to convince Seraphine that he's on her side, and always has been despite his past actions.

In Discretion, we're left at the end with the bomb that Seraphine believes that her father was murdered. In Disarm we have Seraphine and Blaise working together to find the truth. This book has a little bit of a forbidden element in that Blaise and Seraphine are cousins by name only, Seraphine was adopted by the Dumont's when she was 9. Disarm has more twists, turns, and revelations than Discretion, and more of the suspense element. I really felt for Seraphine, essentially becoming an orphan all over again with her father's death, feeling completely alone again and not knowing who to trust. Blaise, I hated him during some of the flashback scenes, the way he treated Seraphine, but at the same time, I understand that he felt trapped. I was glad to see the differences in him as an adult, doing the right thing and standing up for Seraphine despite the consequences. Overall I enjoyed this book, it was great suspense, I can't wait to see what Karina Halle does in the third.

If you liked Discretion your going to LOVE Disarm!
The book follows on from the events in Discretion. We get to see how Seraphine is dealing with the death of her father whilst working with her uncle, the man who she believes is responsible for his death. We learn alot of back story on Seraphine and Blaise and their turbulent relationship. I love how this book completely changed my opinion of Blaise.
Disarm has a bit of everything, love, mystery and plenty of drama! I love that it's not just your typical love story the thriller side of it really kept me gripped and once I started reading I didn't want to stop.
Can't wait to read Pascal's story next.

Karina Halle does it again. This book is soo good! The story is unique and fast moving. The characters are lovable. Fell in love w them, such a slow burning romance. I would read any Karina's books with out even knowing what the story is about.
I can't wait for the next one.

Unfortunately I can’t say I was a big fan of this story, I felt disconnected from the H and h and honestly the ending was disappointing to me. I just didn’t like the way it played out but as it is part of a series maybe I missed something.

Disarm was very eventful and had me flipping through the pages. Seraphine and Blaise's story did not disappoint. There was even more action and suspense in this book. It was quite the ride! This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat with a racing heart. You didn't know who to fully trust. Blaise's side of the Dumonts, I will say again, are evil, horrendous people. I could completely understand why Seraphine didn't trust Blaise. Then you see all the feelings Blaise has towards Seraphine, it melted my heart. He wanted to cherish and protect her. Oh and how my heart really broke for Blaise. He was the black sheep of the family mainly because he had feelings and was a human! This family, man..ugh.

Pascal really surprised me in the end. In each book I have despised this guy and would literally cringe when he came into the picture. Then something happened where that chip was knocked off his shoulder and he became a different person to me. I don' t know how Karina did it but she made him human and dare I say likable! Now I can not wait to read his story. Never thought I would utter those words!

This book was so so good!!

Disarm was amazing! This Dumont series is seriously intense, entertaining and jaded! I fell in love with the "good" side in Discretion and fell into worse hate for the "bad" side in this book.

Seraphine is a strong and independent woman with a history of rejection. Having to go back to her past for help leads to even more heartbreak for her inner child. Thankfully, Blaise is standing in the shadows waiting for Seraphine to see him and to give him the chance, against all odds against them.

These two are in a fast paced drama with enemies on every hand. Overcoming all odds, that must or need to rely on faith and one another.

I'm hoping there is a book 3 with the final giving the uncle his due!!!

I love this author!. Her background as a travel writer helps transport you to the exotic and sophisticated settings in her romances. Reading her work is always a fun escape, this time to Paris and the French countryside in the second installment of the Dumont series.

After devouring Discretion in one weekend, I couldn’t wait to see what secrets would be revealed about the fantastically wealthy, diabolical first family of fashion, the Dumont’s, in Disarm.

Blaise and Seraphine’s forbidden romance is HOT. Prepare yourself for a wild ride filled with mystery, suspense, and danger with a slow burn romance front and center. Karina Halle delivers all this and she always leaves you wanting more.

Disarm is a must read! I’m now anxiously awaiting to read Pascal’s story to learn more about this family and all their dirty little secrets.

Loved the first book in this series, Discretion...great romance with some suspense/mystery action. This installment picks up where Discretion ended and really jacks up the suspense/thriller action a whole lot. There isn't as much romance in it as I was expecting, but yet it was just the right amount. Then to read that Paschal will be the subject of the next book really ratchets up my anticipation. Can't wait!!!

Release Date November 19 2019

Disarm is the second book in the The Dumonts series and should be read after Discretion as all books are interconnected.

Wow I was so happy to jump back into this world after the last book. It didn't end with a cliffhanger but with all the secrets and twists that happened I needed to know how it was going to play out and let me just say this book was filled with so much more. I was lost in this story from the first page. The suspense, drama and so much danger I finished in one sitting.

Blaise and Seraphine had a forbidden love that I could see brewing in the first book. I loved them together it was sexy and so sweet and with flashbacks from where it all began I was rooting for them to get their Happily Ever After.

I cannot wait for Pascals book to learn more about this family and all their secrets.

I was completely disarmed by this book! I was blown away by Discretion, and wasn't sure how the rest of the series would stack up. Seraphine and Blaise's story definitely keeps me invested in this series and family. They are both so broken, but beautiful. And when they came together, it was utter perfection. Another spectacular book that gave a great story, while making me want more Dumonts right now! I am totally here for Pascal's story when it's ready (now, can I have it now?)!

I've got to say, I thought this was going to end on a cliffy! Karina wrote Seraphine and Blaise's story fast and furious with a little slow burn for them as well. Disarm was SO GOOD! Review to come.

This is Seraphine and Blaise book, it’s the second book in the Dumonts series! I am definitely loving this series!! This book was soooooo suspenseful!! My heart was gonna pound out my chest! lol I definitely enjoyed reading the first one but this one was in my opinion my favorite so far!! I highly recommend reading it and the whole series!! You definitely don’t have to read the first book but it definitely helps figure people out! This book had a little taboo story going on and was action packed with some steam thrown in! I was given an early copy for my honest review and as always I’m 100% honest! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
