It was very enjoyable.
A little too short for my taste, but it seems it was a inbetween novella. But enjoyable!

After a wedding of mutual friends, Shay and Kira learn that there is magic at Christmas In Scotland. ARC from NetGalley. Part of a series.

Kira just recently returned to her childhood home on the island where everything just seems perfect. She has a thing for a guy name Shay but sh is very weary of dating after a terrible divorce. Shay is untouchable. He’s a divorce attorney who stays far away from the island and anything dealing with love. He has a thing for Keira and after attending their friends wedding things take off between the two of them. This is a great short story with interesting characters.

This is a very moving story. Shay and Kira both have some serious hurts in their pasts. They have several emotional conversations about what trying to have a relationship will mean for them. We get to delve into their hearts and feel their feelings. And then we get the happy ending!

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

This was a nice, quick read. The writing flowed well for me, and I liked Shay and Kira together for the most part. They start in this relationship not expecting anything from each other, but it wasn't long before that changes. I can't really classify this under insta-love because they have known each other for a while, they just haven't been a couple. I did feel like everything is wrapped up quickly, but it usually is in novellas. They get their HEA, and it was super sweet. If you're looking for a light, feel-good book, this one is for you.

This was a perfect holiday story. Donna Kauffman outdid herself with this one, I loved it and couldn’t put it down!

Donna Kauffman is one of my favorite authors and Santa in a Kilt is a wonderful holiday novella!
Second chance trope is my all time favorite!!!! Kira and Shay shine in this novella. Both Kira and Shay both have their baggage. The love story moves quickly but its not predictable.

The story is well written with complex, flawed characters.

I love this author's writing style. I really enjoyed the basket weaving aspect as well.

I highly recommend this wonderful story.

The wind-whipped December sea air of the isle of Kinloch invigorates Kira MacLeod as she sets out to tame rugged Shay Callaghan. The Scottish bachelor may be as wary of a wedding ring as a snowman is of the hot sun, but it’s no secret how he looks at her—as if she were the only woman in the world. Now, with the encouragement of the canny islanders, and watching two of their best friends tie the knot in a romantic winter wedding, Kira will ignite Shay’s heart—and weave the perfect Celtic Christmas to say aye do.
This was a great story by a great author. I’ve read a number of her books and they don’t disappoint. I really liked both main characters as well as the plot. I recommend.

I am a fan and avid reader of Donna Kauffman for years. I just couldn’t get into the book. It seemed to drag. Suggest checking out her Blue Hollow Falls series.

A sweet fun story of finding love when you least expect it. Shay is a divorce attorney and does not believe in the happily ever after but when he meets Kira, recently divorced there is no denying the chemistry that they share.

The story takes place on a Scottish Isle, loved the scenery and the dialogue, the author makes you feel like you are right there. Great chemistry between Kira and Shay, loved their humor and banter.

This is a short story that was previously published, thoroughly enjoyed.

Santa in a Kilt by Donna Kauffman is a novella about Kira MacLeod as she sets her eyes on Shay Callaghan on the isle of Kinloch. Shay is dedicated to being a bachelor but Kira affects him in a way no other woman has. One of their friends is being married and the question is whether Kira and Shay will have a perfect Celtic Christmas wedding as well. This novella is a very light read about romance on the island of Kinloch,Ireland. There were too many detailed sex scenes for me. The book could be longer with a detailed plot.

Donna Kauffman never faila to create a great novel with endearing characters. And it's always nice to revisit her characters in what feels like returning to your hometown and meeting up with your school mates. And with this one it's Christmas. I really enjoyed this story.

Originally published in a holiday anthology, Unwrapped, this novella instalment to the Hot Scot series is a solid holiday read and perfect for fans of romance, easily consumed as a stand-alone story. And consume it I did: at just over 100 pages, the novella is everything that one expects from a holiday / getaway romance title. Kira is back on Kinloch, an island in the Hebrides, and building her business selling hand-woven baskets, a skill passed down from her grandmother. After her last relationship ended horribly, she’s been more focused on her work and her friends, ignoring romance and occasionally fantasizing about Shay, another local boy now returned to the island, who has made his mark as a successful divorce attorney. While perfectly happy to have non-commitments with the women he dates, he’s not one who believes that happily ever after is for him, even as he celebrates and enjoys seeing his best friends pair off. No one has even interested him, until Kira, but she’s an “everything” sort of woman, and he can’t do that.

Of course, it’s a tiny island where everyone not only knows everyone else, but rarely misses a chance to add in advice, meddle a bit, and cheer on two ‘children of the island”. And the interplay between the two of them, along with the sparks are hotter than Bonfire night! Both Kira and Shay are convinced that their connection is simply physical, even though both want more… it will take several hours together, more hours spent denying the inevitable and several ‘chance’ encounters for the connection to become obvious to the players involved. While not a solidly developed romance because of all the hesitations, the warm fuzzies from it all, with everyone on the island celebrating the two of them together – it just made for a wonderful story.

Kira and Shay are secondary characters in this series, but finding their happiness together while all of their friends seem to be loved up and happiness just pouring forth is wonderful. Getting a peek into island life, traditions and crafts and some clan-determined events is well-detailed, giving readers a sense of the lives on the islands in the outer reaches of Scotland, all with their own unique twists, turns and heart.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This novella was short and sweet.

You start off with a main character who is a divorce attorney and doesn't want anything permanent in his life, but can't take his eyes off of the woman. Their relationship starts off with a sort of 'let's see where this goes, but I'm not asking for commitment' vibe, but as many stories do, the female wants more and the male doesn't, or does he?

This was a nice, short read, but it left me wanting more since I'm more accustomed to reading longer books.
