A rereleased memoir written by the ex girlfriend of infamous serial killer Ted Bundy. I enjoyed reading the new afterwords by Elizabeth and her daughter Molly who reflected on how their perceptions have changed over the past 40 years since the book was originally released. It was a quick read that included a center insert of family pictures. I really felt for Liz when I read from her point of view how guilty she felt calling in a tip to police that she feared her long term boyfriend might be the serial killer they were looking for. I have read a lot about Ted Bundy, but reading about it from Liz’s point of view was a lot more moving.

Unable to review as was taken down after a day. I understand that it's a great book popular with my friends in the true crime circle and hope to read some day.

Update after reading:

An interesting look at the relationship of Elizabeth Kendall and Ted Bundy. The book itself is unique in that we get a look at Ted Bundy through the eyes of someone who truly did love him and found it difficult to come to terms with the monstrous side that the world and his victims saw.

Original comment:
Was not able to read this book due to it being archived the day of approval but an older copy is available through my library and I will be reading and updating my review when I have received that copy. This seems like it will be a fascinating read and it'll be interesting to read about Bundy from the point of view of one of the few people that were able to be close to him.

I was unable to read the book, as the download became unavailable within a day of approval. These things happen, of course. The Phantom Prince is a title I had been looking forward to digging into.
