Spoiler alert

Trigger warning of rape and incest

I think the first thing that should be said is this is definitely not for anyone sensitive or uncomfortable with reading about taboo subjects. However, if you can get past those things then this is a great suspenseful read. I completed this in an afternoon because I just had to see what would happen. The ending with Jolene was predictable but I was still hoping Graham would have been the last in line to get a book signed. I would have liked to have seen a reunion/update with Roz, Graham, Nina, and Max for a Christmas at the hotel.

This was an entertaining read and the storyline was good. I never fully connected with the character of Roz and I am not sure why. Maybe I thought she was too weak at times.? Overall it was a good read and I enjoyed it.
Many thanks to BooksGoSocial and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I enjoyed this book. First one by this author, but for sure it will not be the last. Great book to return too at the end of the day.

Roz and Graham are newly weds on their honeymoon on the West Coast of Florida. The marriage from the beginning is far from perfect. First night of their honeymoon Graham gets drunk and come to bed in the early hours of the morning and expects sex.
Roz, upset goes for a walk and sees Theo and Jolene. She becomes obsessed with them and in particular Theo. Thinking they are married she knows it’s wrong to want Theo. But as her ill fated marriage is a disaster she agrees to go away for a few days with Theo and Jolene, she says to think things over. They say they will return her to her husband anytime she wants.
On the journey she finds out they are twins. They arrive at a very isolated house and she succumbs to having an affair with Theo........little realizing what was to come.
A good mystery, although a little strange at times, almost mystic. 3.1/2 stars

I chose this book in error, thinking it was really a true crime book as it was in that category. I really hate when this happens, I must say. I try not to spoil books for myself by reading too much of the description, but enough to check that it’s not fiction. Here I slipped up, it happens. But I hoped that the setting being in an area I lived near for many years, that it might hold my interest anyway. I dove in and was pleased to find I could tolerate it :-) Young Roz finds herself newly married to Graham as a rebound after being dumped by someone she really was besotted with. On their honeymoon, she already feels she’s made a mistake, and finds herself looking to share the company of other couples and singles to avoid the awkwardness of being alone with her new husband. Especially the gorgeous man and woman she met jogging on the beach that have invited her and Graham to join them for dinner. Things become strained after they all have dinner, as she and Graham become even more estranged. Roz takes a break from Graham, and this is where things get mysterious and possibly put it into the crime category.

This book is for those who like women’s fiction, set in Florida. I liked it in spite of it not being the non-fiction I was expecting. The writing kept me interested and turning those pages on my Kindle. Advance electronic review copy was provided by NetGalley, author Jeannie van Rompaey, and the publisher.

An interesting romp that starts with an unhappy honeymoon and ends in tonnes of sex, character development and more. A great, rapid read, and very enjoyable.

Confusion and Chaos
Roz lost her father and after that she has been making one mistake after another searching for the love and acceptance her father had provided to her.

When her boyfriend Mark breaks up with her and marries someone else, she up and marries Graham a man fourteen years older than her. They decide to honeymoon in Florida. When they fight she runs off on her honeymoon to stay a few days with Jolene and Theo two people she meets on the beach. She ends up having an affair with Theo and at first everything is good, however, when she wants to leave bad things start to happen. She has gotten herself into a deadly situation with dangerous people. She never guessed that her choice to trust Jolene and Marco would lead to her life being in danger. Her dreams of the Sunshine Skyway and her new friends are not so happy now.

Graham, her husband, comes to her rescue with the police and a reporter who has teamed up with him. The reporter has been following the couple to take revenge after they hurt his sister.

This situation caused Her to take a look at her life. After a long frank talk with Graham they decided to separate but to stay friends. It was her first step in taking citron of her life.

This was the story of a young lady confused about life, confused about love and learning to become independent and face life head on.

I think the book was a good read.

Thanks to Jeanne Van Rompaey, Books Go Social, and Net Galley for allowing me to read an advanced copy.

The honeymoon in Florida for Roz and Graham is over before it starts. Roz realizes that she really doesn't love Graham yet finds him reliable and steady- more like a father. Roz is 19 and Graham, 33. They were married in London when Roz was on the rebound from Luke. In fact, it was Roz who proposed to Graham. Now in Florida, during their honeymoon, Roz meets Jolene and Theo while jogging. They invite her and Graham to dinner.

The dinner is punctuated by Graham's drunken comments and subsequent act of falling asleep. Roz is taken in by Theo. But, he is with Jolene...

Roz spends a lot of hours mulling over her recent marriage since Graham had done something that hurt her on their wedding night a couple of days ago. She talks to Jolene about her situation and Jolene suggests time away from Graham. Since Jolene and Theo are moving to a new place on Christmas Eve, why not join them for a few days? Jolene offers to take Roz back to her hotel whenever she wants...and now begins the "fun"....

Great character development with a lot of action. This read does not drag. I recommend this to all.

Many Thanks to BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for an interesting read.
