Willow is working two jobs and helping her divorced mother take care of bills her ex husband saddle her with when he left her. Willow decides she needs a vacation even if Trey is involved with it. Trey is determined to prove to Willow that they can be good together no matter the baggage she is carrying with her. Will Willow give the relationship a chance? A good read that I enjoyed to the last page.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

Can we clone Trey Collins? He is a gorgeous, kind, self made tech millionaire, who has been coming into Java Joe's every morning for coffee and to look at Willow Parks, the barista. He keeps asking her out, but she turns him down, because she is overwhelmed by too much going on in her life and at the moment does not trust men. Six months ago her full time live in boyfriend, Scott, walks into their home, tells her he is bored and she needs to move out. A year ago her father inexplicably left her mother and has also been incommunicado with Willow. Her mother became a basket case, so Willow had to move back into her family home, to take care of her mother and is working two jobs trying to keep up with all the bills, so her mother doesn't end up losing their home.

Trey needs a date for his best friend's wedding, and at the urging of her friends and even her mother, Willow agrees to go away for the weekend, she needs a break and some fun, which Trey promises he will deliver. While she intends to have just a weekend fling, he intends on having them get to know each other better. And Willow is having a wonderful time with Trey, his friends and even his kooky parents until she gets a call that her mother has been hospitalized.

Aside from a romance, the book explores relationships, the abusive behavior when one member isolates the other from their support group, (i.e. friends and family), mental illness and family dynamics, all in a beautifully written story.

I haven’t read a lot of Stacey Lynn but what I have read so far, I have really enjoyed. And Weekend Fling is another good read. I do want to say, despite the title, there are some heavier issues involved in this book.

Willow has moved back home to Portland after the ending of a five year relationship that left her feeling broken. Unfortunately, things are not much better at her childhood home. Her mother is dealing with the fallout of her husband having left her. And by “dealing” I will say she is not dealing at all. Willow has taken over the financial stress of her mom’s life after her mom lost her job because she has fallen into a depression. Willow is working multiple jobs to make sure she can hang on to her mom’s house and pay the bills. It is not easy though.

Trey Kollins (this is how it is spelled in my ARC, but the fina

l book may have his last name spelled as “Collins” as in the book synopsis) is a local billionaire. He visits the coffee shop where Willow works every morning and he has made it clear he would like to take her out on a date. He is persistent though it is never portrayed as aggressive and unwelcome. Willow just politely says “No” and Trey accepts. Even if he does ask again. This time he has a no offer. He’d like to take Willow to a weekend wedding in California. Willow is very tempted because she is working her butt off to make ends meet and frankly a weekend away sounds heavenly. She does agree and is ready to have fun though she makes it clear to Trey it can just be a fun weekend. But what if even she starts to yearn for more?

Like I said, this book is fun but it has its heavier moments too. Willow has a lot on her shoulders and it is not easy making sure her mom is getting up and at least pretending to live. Add in all the late bills and Willow is scraping by. She is a hard worker though and is doing her absolute best. She is also human though

and Stacey Lynn makes that clear as the story continues. Willow wants to throw in the towel sometimes. She is angry at her mom and her dad. She is angry at her ex. But she does her best to not let the anger get the best of her.

Trey is a fun-loving guy, much more free spirited than Willow can even contemplate right now. From her point of view, their differences are just too immense to even contemplate being anything more than a weekend fling. But Trey may be a billionaire now, he has not always been that way and he knows a lot about hard work. They have a more of a foundation to build on than Willow realizes.

The story is both steamy and sad. Willow has to deal with her mom and it is not easy. I felt Stacey Lynn did a good job delving tentatively into the topic of depression. She writes in the author acknowledgment’s she lost a friend to suicide so I felt like she definitely was sensitive about depression.

Fortunately, there is a happier ending all around. Not perfect but a good fit for Willow and Trey.

I liked Willow and Trey's story and although I'm not sure this falls into the "insta-love" category, it sure feels close (full disclosure: I'm not a huge fan of insta-love. Insta LUST is fine, however). I vacillated on whether I thought Trey was charmingly persistent or annoyingly pushy but ultimately, I liked how he was invested in whatever it was that was going on with Willow. I felt that the conflict with Willow and her dad "ended" a little too quickly - I wasn’t resolved but considering he’d truly acted like a jerk, he deserved to be dressed down much more than he got, IMO. I also liked how this dealt with the subject of mental health in a way that was realistic and not "preachy".

And maybe I'm old and I know I’ve been happily married and out of the dating game for a long time, but do people really go away with people they don’t know for the weekend? I get that they “knew” each other from the coffee shop and Trey was a public figure of sorts but that seemed an odd decision to me and kept popping into my head during their time away – it was a bit of a distraction for me. Overall, a solid 3.5 stars.

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my review. If you like a good "meet cute" then this is your story! Willow Parks is running herself ragged. She works two jobs to pay off a pile of debt her ex left her saddled with and she also has to take care of her aging mom. The last thing that she needs is a man in her life, especially if that man is a billionaire tech mogul Trey Collins who hangs out in the coffee shop where Willow works. What could he possibly want with her? When he asks her to go to away for the weekend and be his date for his best friend's wedding she reluctantly agrees. What Willow doesn't know is that Trey has plans for way more than the weekend, but will Willow ever see past her baggage to start a new future? This was another great story from Stacey Lynn.

Trey is the best book boyfriend! He is so sweet and perseveres when Willow keeps rejecting him. What starts out as a fling turns into something more. Great read!

This story was written in dual first person point of view where the characters are describe in a direct and indirect manner. The conflicts include external and internal as character battle themselves as well as other characters and society. The major themes used are chaos and order, communication, facing reality, family, heartbreak of betrayal, overcoming, self-reliance, and will to survive.

The ideas are interesting and unique as they hold their own in the rich and poor trope of relationships. The flow is organized and structured that it brings both characters together without two much overlap. Each character has its own voice that is individualized and appropriate with word choice and structure of thought. Yes, I would recommend this book. This would be a good recommendation for those interested in rich and poor trope types of relationships, taking care of parents, hard workers and dedicated friends. This would not be a good recommendations for those not interested in suicide attempts, lack of mental health hygiene by parental figures, parents taking advantage of children. pressuring or last minute invites.

Returning home after a failed relationship, Willow Parks vows to not ever put herself in the position to depend on a male again. She spends her days working two jobs so her mom doesn’t lose her home and caring for her mom. So there’s really not any time for a personal life anyway. Her mom is broken and can barely get herself out of bed since her husband left her and filed for divorce. Willow knows she needs professional help, but can’t convince her mom to get help. Willow sees how devastating depending on a man to provide, take care of all the bills can be. So when Trey approaches her for a date, she turns him down.

Trey Collins, a multi-million dollar tech mogul, has eyes for Willow. He has tried multiple times to ask her out, but she always turns him down. He even visits, works from the coffee shop so he can see her daily. He knows she’s always there and always works hard, but it’s the rest of the package that has him so intrigued. He figures if he can just convince her to go on one date, he can convince her to give him a chance. Opportunity finally presents itself and he convinces her to be his date for a weekend getaway for his best friend’s wedding. Knowing that she could use an all-expense paid vacation, she agrees. When the amazing weekend comes to an abrupt halt due to a family emergency, the walls go back up and she pushes Trey away...

Stacey Lynn has written a beautiful story touching on realistic, emotional, and heavy topics. Depression, attempted suicide, and dependency are tough topics addressed throughout this novel. As an only child, who mistakenly thinks her dad has abandoned them, Willow struggles to get her mom help. Her mom neglected the house, the bills, and anything that once mattered to her. Willow comes home to a house basically in foreclosure and is doing her best to pay the bills while NOT becoming her mom. Trey is a true Prince Charming. He’s supportive without being needy. He doesn’t just step in, take over, and pay the bills. He leaves Willow to make her own decisions and choices because he knows that’s what she needs. While this story ends in a HEA, the topics discussed are serious and realistic. I highly recommend this novel. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Willow is focused on taking care of her mom. Working two jobs, she doesn't have time to go out on a date with the hottie that keeps coming into the coffee shop she works at, no matter how many times he asks her out. But when he throws an opportunity for a weekend away, can she go and just let go for a few days?

What a beautifully fun book! Trey and Willow's journey was such a fantastic story! Trey's amazing heart will make you swoon...HARD!! I loved every stunning word of this story! This book will make you feel all sorts of emotions, but it will fill your heart for certain! 5 easy stars!

A good entertaining read from the first page to the last. Hot, smoking billionaire pursues beautiful and captivating barista who doesn't feel that he is serious or admit that she wants to be with him. What will it take for him to get his foot in the door and convince her that he is serious about them getting together? In this case, Trey decides to invite Willow for a weekend of fun at his best friend's beach wedding. Willow has been dealing with a lot of upheaval in her life and decides to take her friend's advice and grab some fun in the sun with Trey. Willow soon discovers just how far out of her league Trey is with his private plane and rich friends, but she also learns that he is one of the good guys in how he treats and reacts with his family in friends. Just when things are going well, a crisis at home strikes and Willow runs. Trey soon follows, but gets shot down and told to back off. You will have to read the book to see if Trey can ever convince Willow that he is truly on of the good guys and see if Willow can get past all the hurt and angst in her life to build a loving future with Trey and his friends.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher.

I received a copy of Weekend Fling by Stacey Lynn from Loveswept and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

I give this book 4 stars. Weekend Fling by Stacey Lynn was a quick read but a overall good chick-lit story. It had a nice balance of love story vs reality.

This was more than a little read, something to pass the time. It had all the elements of sexy fun and flirty but also had the depth of a book that opened eyes and hearts.

I love books that are little unexpected treats, so I was pleasantly surprised with Weekend Fling, the 4th book in the Crazy Love series. I went into it thinking it was going to be a sweet read, about a fun filled romance involving a weekend fling and maybe a little bit more. It soon became apparent it was an emotional story; dealing with a topic quite a few of us are familiar with, mental illness. Don't let this throw you off, just go in with an open mind. Written in a compassionate and lovingly story, dealing with sacrifices made for a loved one, this issue is discussed in a way that will move you to tears.

“Nothing in life is guaranteed, including escaping with a heart that’s never been broken.”

Willow Parks has been dealt some hard blows lately. She's been having to deal with the repercussions left from her painful divorce, she never expected to have to move back home, and she's emotionally and physically exhausted. Willow has the added burden of taking care of her mother who is unable to pick up the pieces of her own life, after she falls apart and is unable to deal with the devastation over the loss of her own marriage to Willow’s father. Working two jobs to support them is all she has time for; even if she had wanted to date she just doesn’t have the time.

“I’m not generally a lay-your-cards-on-the-table kind of guy, preferring to keep them close to my vest with those I don’t know well.”

Trey Collins, a self-made tech billionaire, has been admiring the gorgeous barista at the coffee shop he goes to every day. She doesn’t flirt back, and he’s not even sure if he’s her type, but he’d like to convince her to give him a chance. When he needs a date for an upcoming wedding, at an exclusive sea-side resort, Trey manages to convince Willow to accompany him. This could be just the escape they both need, to relax and get to know each other.

“But it might be time to throw all those cards down, faceup, if I want a chance with this woman.”

The weekend is cut short unexpectedly when Willow receives some bad news that she insists she deal with on her own, Trey feels like she’s shutting him off and closing down. He refuses to go quietly, luckily for Willow.

“He’s proven he’ll be by my side when I need it, helping me, strengthening me, instead of expecting me to be the one who always bend.”

Willow had known what it was to give up everything for a man, making sacrifices and never expected to be emotionally supported by Trey, but he proved he could be someone she could depend on.

“I should have trusted him the day he showed up, ready to help, willing to listen, wanting to give me everything I need.”

Willow has had to move back home to take care of her mother, who has been dealing with serious depression ever since her father left. Willow just went thru a painful divorce, and needs to take her life back, moving back home was not something she envisioned for herself. No matter how much Willow tried to convince her mother to seek help, she would not agree. In order to make ends meet, Willow now works two jobs.

Working as a barista she’s always meeting interesting people. One in particular, Trey Collins, keeps asking her out but she always turns him down. How can she think of going out and having fun, when her mother is usually out of it. Trey is not one to give up, he has a wedding in a seaside resort in California and needs a date for the weekend festivities. He assures her they will have separate rooms, and this way they can get to know each other better. Willow does really like him, gives him credit for being so persistent, so she eventually agrees. Her best friend will check on her mom on a daily basis.

Getting away with Trey is the best thing she’s ever done. They are having the time of their lives and Willow loves his friends. Their weekend is cut short when her friend calls and tells her mom is in the hospital and tried to take her life. Rushing out of the wedding, Willow doesn’t even give Trey an explanation of what happened. How can she get involved with someone, when her life is such a mess. It’s a good thing Trey believes they would be good together and doesn’t give up on her. He’s proven to her that a relationship is possible, if she allows herself to it.

I really enjoyed this wonderful book. It brought out how serious depression can be if left untreated. A must read..

A good book that when you start, you don't put it down until the end. It was flirty, it was intense, and yes a bit emotional.

Heartrendingly beautiful...this book touches on Mental Illness in the most classy of ways it brought tears to my eyes.
The story of Trey and Willow is one you will fall in love with. Trey a self made millionaire tech guy has been asking Willow out for months but to no avail. He still finds her beautiful and fascinating.
Willow is swamped down caring for her mother and taking on the burden of bills and every day life.
When Trey asks her to be a plus one for a weekend wedding she agrees thinking nothing could possibly go wrong.
