Excellent characters that I enjoyed reading about, good story that held my interest, compelling conflict with a believable and hateable villain , and a satisfying ending.

Super hot! Mmmmmm
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Holy hotness. If you’re looking for a story that is provocative, steamy, and full of erotica, with a taste of BDSM, this book blends all of that together for a read you can’t get enough of.
This is the first time I’ve read this author and I am impressed with her storytelling abilities and great imagination.
The setting and the story is definitely unique. I love the message that you never really know a person and she shows that beautifully in this well-crafted story.
Wonderful character development that brings two people together against all odds. A hot and spicy read that will definitely fan the flames
Thank you Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for the advanced copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I admit the book fails to capture my attention initially. I picked up my tablet twice to read it and both times I put it down after two to three chapters. I contemplated whether to just forget about it or giving it a third try and just rush through it so I can get the review done and over with.
I guess there is some truth to what people say about the third time's a charm.
In my third attempt to finish the book, I was already close to about page 100. I think that is the point, for me, when the story gets really interesting. And the story starts to pick up from there. The whole BDSM thing doesn't interest me, and I'll be honest, I skip those pages (and there were a lot of them). What got me staying is the chemistry between Candi and Randy (godawful nicknames!). After Candi and Randy met, the story captures my attention and i pretty much steamrolled my way until the end of the book.
So to put it simply, the book could be better had the start of the story wasn't too long winded and draggy. Victoria's self pity in the beginning was exhausting to read and she has the personality of a wood chipper.
Don't get me wrong though. It's not like after page 100, everything becomes magically interetsing. Oh no, there were some moments that got me cringey especially the texts between Candi and Randy. I'm pretty sure my IQ level had a significant dropped reading those uncharacteristic messages that resembles rowdy text exchanges between two 16 years old.
This was a promising story, but it didn’t meet my expectations. It was dragging and I find myself skipping the pages. Victoria, somehow older and conservative decides to experience more of her sexuality. She decides to visit a sex kinky club her friend suggested. There is also Ian who is somewhat hot and sexy.
The story and writing didn’t hold my attention. There were moments I thought I was reading historical novel and then other times a modern novel. The language is different at times but then there was texting and decisions that came out very juvenile. I didn’t connect with the characters, she was so prude and for someone being so smart and educated, her perception and conclusion were immature. I couldn’t understand how she seem to tolerate Rupert and him drugging her. Ian was my favorite character, his focus, determination and patience were over the top. Overall the plot was average, predictive and dragging, the suspense non-existing and the sexy scenes ok. Bdsm aspect needs improvement as it was not safe sane and consensual.
This unconventional, getting in touch with one's self story of romance and erotica was amazing. Victoria is a straight laced judge by day who leads a boring life, even in the bedroom with her boyfriend the Baron. Enters her friend reading to introduce her to an exclusive and private club. Once there she meets Randi who she has a strong attraction to.Victoria though having blue eyes and blonde hair, deviates from the cookie cutter heroine because she is full figured. Will she ever reveal her true self? Will she drop the boring Baron?
You will applaud, want to cry, yell and pummel someone for sexual assault and hypocrisy. This is a book you will read more than once. You may be tempted to find the secret sex club in your burrow.
Should Tori settle for boring?
Dame Victoria (Tori) Whittingstall has reached a high point in her career being appointed a judge to the High Court but her personal life was boring. Victoria was dating Rupert, Lord Bridlington, but she broke it off when he asked her to marry him. Victoria had flirted with barrister Ian King in her courtroom and he asked her out but she refused. Victoria’s best friend Lady Diana Stanhope took her Club Exotica, a private members-only nightclub to explore her fantasies and get over her breaking up with Rupert because she deserved more than boring sex life.
Seduced is an erotic romance where every-one wears a mask and Tori meets a guy that she wants to see more but masks can hide more than people’s identities from each other.
P.S. I want to know more about Michael and Sebastian.
Tori was proud of what she had accomplished on her own, becoming a Judge in the Royal Courts. Unfortunately, she wasn’t happy relationship wise, her boyfriend was nothing to talk about in the bedroom. Tori tried to discuss the issue with Rupert but he wasn’t interested. She decided to break it off and check out Club Exotica where she meets a handsome, younger stranger. Sparks fly and she wants more, but can she trust him? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, steamy scenes and amazing chemistry. I loved it!
This review is not going to be long. I am not a huge fan of a review rehashing the entire plot and spoiling it for everyone.
This is the first book by Kate Allure that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. This was a riveting story. I chuckled and cried. I enjoyed how the characters grew and interacted with each other in this book. I will purchase more of her books.
I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book was just okay for me. I did enjoy that Tori was a bit older than most erotica novel heroines (super refreshing!) and Ian was, of course, sex on legs. I loved how Tori was this powerful badass in the courtroom, and that she had decided to take control of her own sexuality and shed any internal shame over her sexual desires. However, there were some aspects of the BDSM scenes that took me out of the moment, especially the fact that a safe word were never discussed prior to the scenes (which is pretty much BDSM 101). Also, Tori's ex spiraled into a character that I found beyond cringe-worthy, and I didn't think that a certain scene involving triggering content needed to be included (just my personal opinion). Overall, it wasn't a bad novel, and the initial sex scene between Ian and Tori was super hot, but I wouldn't highly recommend it to others.
This book had a ton of elements going on; age gap romance, BDSM, societal pressures for women, crazy ex's, sexual assaults, and insta-love.
What I did like:
-I really like Ian. He is smart and cocky and that is my favorite. I appreciated that he is so quick to recognize when he is in the wrong and just as quick to apologize and try to fix it.
-The writing made this a quick read. It flowed nicely.
-The side characters - the Fletcher brothers and Tori's friends, were pretty great.
What I did not like:
-I cannot stand when a character makes sexual decisions for another. Two times the main couple don't discuss punishment before just doing it. I don't like that.
-Tori. She just kind of drove me crazy through the whole book. She is very wishy-washy and a bit annoying.
Overall, this isn't bad. If you want a fast paced story with a lot of moving elements and a secret sex club you might like this. And I definitely think a lot of people are going to like this, it just was not for me.
