Another heart-pounding fast-paced race following the main character from the author. A quick and same plot-driven story that i enjoyed immensely and I'm looking forward to more.

Having read the previous books in the series, I was really looking forward to this next installment. JB Turner did not let me down.

The action flows through, well described and realistic; the father/daughter relationship adds to the characters and improves the narrative.

Fully recommended.

I have really enjoyed the last Jon Reznick books and this one is just as good. It revolves around a series of terror attacks on police in New York. Fast paced and enjoyable read.

Fast paced action adventure thriller.
Former Black Ops man Jon Reznick while battling his own issues helps the FBI against the clock to foil white supremist domestic terror attacks and he has added worry of his college age daughter being caught up in the chaos.

First in the series I've read and I'll definitely be looking out for the other books in this series.

Joe Reznick is everywhere. He's everyman! Author J.B. Turner has created an interesting and well-paced story about bad guys in New York. The Aryan Brotherhood and MS-13 have really vicious attitudes and are downright frightening. But, so are drug-addicted federal agents who lie and cheat to advance their cause. Match the two groups up and get some really dirty pool.
What's not to like about this novel is the author's almost childish determination to get his lead character at the center of everything It's really implausible that of three major incidents, he's right in the middle of all of them. In a fourth incident, he's quite nearby, which is not as implausible as the position his daughter is in. Hundreds of thousands of people are in midtown Manhattan for the July Fourth fireworks, and the bad guy here picks Resnick's daughter out of all of them. Buy me a lottery ticket! That silliness really destroys the story, at least for me. The epilogue adds nothing to the story.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.

Lots of action, fast and easy read with great characters and plot. This is not a literary masterpiece, but it delivers what it says it will, and it's also a little deeper this time.

What Can I say except THANK YOU so much to Net Galley, the publishers and the author J B Turner for an ARC copy of this five star book, a great read.

Reznick will protect New York City or die trying.

When a group of homegrown attackers takes aim at cops outside a Fourth of July baseball game, black-ops specialist Jon Reznick and his daughter, Lauren, are caught in the cross fire. Jon hunts down two of the gunmen. But the last member of the group is at large and about to launch a fresh killing spree across the city. Cops are under fire, and Jon must stop this madman before more people are killed.

But Jon's renegade tactics and vigilante justice are starting to ruffle some feathers, and his friends in high places might not be able to help him anymore. With leaks inside the FBI and resistance from the NYPD, Reznick doesn't know whom to trust.

He knows one thing: he won't watch the city he loves be torn apart, especially not with his daughter in the crosshairs. But can he get to her in time?

That is the question?

I cannot give this book less than five stars, when I read a book and cannot wait to get back to it, when I cannot stop reading because it is "so good".

If a book has a great main character, action from this first chapter, well paced and action packed through the whole book, gripping, tense, realistic, with added tension due to the story and Reznick and his boss and their relationship.

His daughter , a tough cookie, Jon tough as nails but a great honest , tough character his boss torn between loyalty and rules.

This book has everything with some great touches at the end. Loved this book.

July 4th in NYC - festivities planned for the holiday, including a Yankee's game. Jon and his daughter are standing in line when 2 snipers open fire on NYPD. Will Jon be able to stop them from killing more officers?
Fast paced suspense thriller. Moved along, quick read.

In this seventh installation of the Jon Reznick series, J.B. Turner keeps the intensity as high as in the past six books, but he also adds more layers to Reznick as he needs to fight bad guys that are highly trained and willing to do unthinkable stuff when the price is right.
As always, the pace of the story is breathtakingly high, the plot is not super surprising and some of the coincidences of the story are just not that credible. This ends up costing the fifth star, but fans of the Reznick series will not be disappointed. Newcomers to the series should not join in here, due to the numerous references to past events and recurring characters where the background is useful for the proper enjoyment of the book.

A great quick read. I really like the suspense in this book and the descriptions of New York. It almost felt as if I was watching the action unfold.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

YES! Finally another installment featuring Jon Reznick. I like Jon as a main character and it seems like things are starting to take its toll and I think this latest book we see him try and take a step back (well at the end at least). This book is a typical high octane and action packed book that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Jon attends a ball game with is daughter when attackers start to take out police officers. Jon being Jon means he cannot leave it and as such becomes embroiled in this latest attack on US soil. Only this time it seems the attackers are closer to home. At 248 pages it isn't a particularly long read but certainly an entertaining one.

I really love the characters and am crossing my fingers that we get to see Jon make a few changes in his personal life in the next book. I could easily read these books over and over as they are fantastic and I admit I am a bit of a fan. I cannot wait to see what's next for Jon and highly recommend this series.

Another thrill ride with Jon Reznick! Jon is in New York, on July 4th, to attend a baseball game with his daughter Lauren. Shots ring out as they are heading towards the entrance and several police officers are shot. The crowd panics, but Jon sees the men leaving, pursues them and takes them down before they can kill anyone else. The group are seeking revenge for the choke hold killing of one of their group and the killings may have just begun. Other than FBI Assistant Director Martha Meyerstein, several other agencies are not happy with the way Jon takes care of business. When it seems that information is being leaked, Jon doesn’t know who he can trust. When his daughter is caught up in another attack, she proves that she is indeed Jon’s daughter. I love the Jon Reznick character, his honor and his “no holds barred” way he protects his country and the ones he loves. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

HARD. SHOT. by J.B..Turner
What would cause a group to attack cops and on the Fourth of July. Jon Reznick an FBI consultant goes against the white supremist and joined by his daughter. Finding the cult leader behind this and to stop the killings, giving us a fast paced story. I love his books, they are full of action, the characters are great. Thanks to the ARC from Net Galley and Amazon Publishers for my voluntary. review and my honest opinion.

I was very happy to see this book as an offering and was lucky enough to get it. As all of his books go, it is hard to put down and fast paced. This book starts innocently enough with John Reznick taking his daughter to a Yankees game as a sniper starts killing cops. Reznick is thrust into action getting to the bottom of the conspiracy which goes full bore until the last page. I hope he keeps this character going as the books are a lot of fun.
Thank you Netgalley, J. B. Turner, Amazon Publishing UK for the ARC for my honest review.

Jon Reznick is back, this time with his daughter playing a more important role. In chasing a white supremacist,, Reznick once again employs some unconventional methods and often alienates his bosses, but the moves, strategies, and outcomes all entertain the reader.

Rich on coincidence and poor on character development. Trades heavily on stereotypes and manipulation of the reader's emotions.

Reznick is back, this time him and his daughter are caught up in a mass shooting on their way to a game, most people run for cover Jon goes in pursuit to find the shooters. The shootings are part of something bigger and Jon is desperately trying to find the ring leader before more people are killed. We see more of his daughter in this book and hints she'll follow in her dad's footsteps. A great read

Hard Shot
By J.B. Turner

5 stars.

The more of JB Turner’s books I read, the more I grow as a fan. The latest title ‘Hard Shot’ sees the return of Jon Reznick, FBI Consultant on a one man rampage against white supremist in New York city, as they gun down police officers.

What follows is a relentless fast-moving action story, that is near impossible to put down.

Turner’s easy to read style, coupled with fast paced action, engages the reader to continue to the dying pages. Reading familiar characters is a bonus, however the book can be read as a standalone title.
