3.5 Hearts If I am not mistaken this is a re-release from 2010. Terry Spear has written a LOT of wolf shifter books since then. But I will say I enjoyed this because it was so long ago it had a bit of a change in writing while all of her current writings have the same feel.

I enjoyed the different take on the wolf-shifter that this book has and Cameron and Faith are a great couple.

I really liked the throw back to Spear’s earlier writings.

LEGEND OF THE WHITE WOLF is a fantastic read with a romance that is sweet, yet steamy enough to have you fanning yourself, add in characters, situations, danger, and drama and this book will keep you glued to the pages.

An added bonus to LEGEND OF THE WHITE WOLF is a new novella "White Wolf to the Rescue," featuring F.B.I. Agent Andrew White (arctic wolf) and Stacey Grayson (female gray), a special agent for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, who meet when she bests him in a game of chase as wolves.

I voluntarily read this ARC for an honest review
All thoughts and opinions are mine

Not my usual fare, I must admit the cover drew me in but I'm glad I did otherwise I'd have missed out

This is fun, full on and I found it really entertaining and enjoyable
Loved the character and the banter - the story was great

The fourth book in the Heart of the Wolf, Legend of the White Wolf was an enjoyable read. Twists, Danger and mystery, I liked the characters and the engaging storyline, and we be reading more.

Legend of the White Wolf is a love story with the big bad and a forensic scientist. This is the fourth installment in the series, but it also reads as a standalone. There was not anything that popped out to make this higher than a three-star read, but that does not mean that this book isn't a good read. If you like the shifter, steamy scenes, and all the rest, then this is a book for you.

I enjoyed this book but overall it wasn’t for me... This is a reprint of a previously published book and the overall plot seemed a bit weak. There isn’t much rhyme or reason for the choices the shifters make and it doesn’t make sense that they were attacking and turning so many people.

The romance was a bit too fast for me. Also it was primarily focused on the romance instead of a solid plot it all felt rushed so in my aspects the book fell short.

Overall it has a steady pace If you like a shifter series heavy on the romance and light on the storyline you might enjoy it. I like more solid world building and deeper character development.

I received this book from NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an honest review.

This is the 4th book in this series and I would absolutely read the previous books first. I didn't, and ended up going back and reading them because I was slightly confused at times. Cameron MacPherson is in the canadian arctic to try to find his friends after a phone call and them disappearing. Faith O'Malley is there in order to find out what her father saw. What happened to change him? But they never planned on a mutual enemy nor did they plan on everything in their being upended and completely changed the way it is. Now they have to depend on each other and hope they can just survive what is happening.

I liked a lot of parts of this book. It is just different enough to keep it interesting and make you want to read more. Cameron is definitely an alpha male right from the start and he really made the story for me. Faith is strong as all get out but sometimes she doesn't seem to know when to accept help. On a whole it is a good read, I wouldn't necessarily call it my favorite of the series though. It's one I would still re-read though!

Ugh, I should have checked. This is not a new story, but a re-release of 2010. Unfortunately, I read several of the Heart of the Wolf series, and I still don't know if I like or dislike the series. Some parts are not bad, even nice. But sometimes the story just kind of drags on. In the later parts of the series, Terry gets better. And also her other series (Heart of the Jaguar and SEAL Wolf) are very good. So, maybe the series just got off at a slow start.
In all, Legend of the White Wolf is an intriguing story about Faith O'Malley, who is looking for her father's research (stolen by her ex-boyfriend) and Cameron MacPherson, a private eye, trying to locate his partners.
They meet, and appear to head for the same isolated location. Both Faith and Cameron are suspicious of each other, but they also feel some kind of attraction. When they stumble upon a murder, they need to rely on each other, to find the murderer. And solve the mystery of Cameron's missing partners.
A lot of twists and turns, subplots, side characters and actions. It keeps your head spinning. Three out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I liked these two stories as they are entertaining and engrossing.
I think they are a good addition to this series and gave a lot of backstory.
It was a fun read, recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

2.5 ⭐️

Legend of the White Wolf is my first Terry Spear book and while I enjoyed parts of it, it wasn’t really for me.

Forensic scientist Faith O’Malley is trying to track down her former lover who stole her dad’s research. During her search she meets PI Cameron MacPherson, who’s looking for his two missing colleagues. They run into a couple different threats and also decide to explore the chemistry running wild between them.

I appreciate that this book offers a unique take on shifter romance and it’s definitely sensual. But oftentimes the characters’s emotional responses seem oddly subdued or missing and the dialogue sometimes feels stilted. Finally, the end isn’t as romantic as I would have liked.

Thanks to Netgalley for my complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks/Casablanca Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I believe that these stories were published previously in anthologies. There are 2 short stories. I liked the 2nd one better than the first but I am sure others will like the first one better. They are quick and easy to read. No prior background needed. Each was cute in its own way. I think most paranormal romance readers would enjoy. 3 stars These were not my favorites by the author.

I enjoyed this book but not as much as I have more recent books by Terry Spear. When I checked the copyright info I found out that this is a reissue of a previously published book. Cameron is searching for his partners who seem to have vanished while on a hunting trip in the Canadian Arctic. He meets Faith who is trying to find out what big secret her father discovered on his trip in the arctic. Of course, as the title suggests, they find out that werewolves, or lupus garou, are real and deadly. Enjoyable paranormal romance.

I really enjoyed this instalment of the series. Again it was a departure from the others as the main love interests weren't loupe garou to begin with. First one was changed and then the other but I loved all the characters. Cameron, Faith and Cameron's partners Gavin, Owen and David.
I didn't really like Kintail though, he really got on my nerves, Lila did at first too but I grew to like her at the end when we learnt her history but I still wasn't fussed over Kintail.
I loved seeing Leidolf in the book as well, he seems to have softened somewhat from the first time we seen him in Devlyn and Bella's book. Maybe we're just seeing other sides of him in the previous book and this one!
I love how he offered advice and genuinely seemed to want to help the newly bitten loupe garous but his hands were somewhat tied being on another alpha's territory. I have a feeling we may see these characters as a cameo at least in other books as I think they'll be staying in touch with Leidolf to garner his advice as they progress, although they will have some aide seeing as one of Cameron's friends has mated (or will mate) with a born loupe garou so they will have someone to teach them!
Great book and honestly, I wish I'd started this series sooner as each book I read in it is every bit as good if not better then the last!

White Wolf Shifters with a Red mixed in. Private eyes and a forensic specialist explore a community shrouded with evil. Disappearances and a search for a stolen disc lead to danger and love. This read okay as a stand alone but the others in this series might prove enjoyable too. "A copy of this book was provided by Sourcebooks Casablanca via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

This is a reissue of a previously published book - but I am happy it is being rereleased as it was one of Ms. Spear's titles that I hadn't read though the characters have appeared in other books. I enjoyed finally reading this backstory. I enjoy this series quite a bit and this one added to the pleasure
