Yes! Now this is a fantastic little domestic thriller. Whew, this was a wild ride right from the first page. Taylor- our "Sunday girl" had bad taste in men. Angus her long time boyfriend ( aka F@#$ Head) as Taylor's BFF nicknamed him, was proof of that. He was all kinds of special........womanizer, drug user, abusive, just an all around scum of the earth. Yet Taylor dug him...until she didn't.

After all this that she had put up with, what was the final straw? A sex tape of her uploaded to the internet...oh Angus, what have you done?! Taylor is about to unleash her good girl gone crazy when she plots revenge.

Wow, this book is just my kind of thriller. I love a good revenge story. It actually gave me a great deal of angst waiting for the other shoe to drop. Taylor had some fantastic and entertaining revenge ideas...I mean of course they were wrong, so very wrong. HAHAHA but still I had to think...yeah Taylor you go...The thing is two can play at this game...so who will be the winner? This was a solid 5 star all the way until the end. I did expect just a little bit more cray at the end, hence the .5 star off. Yet, obviously I loved it!

This one was nuts! I thoroughly enjoyed this read, absolutely HATED the boyfriend, and felt bad for the main character. I don't typically like books with an unstable narrator, but I liked this one.

I started and finished this book in less than 24 hours because I could not put it down! The twists and turns and the ending was a great ride. Ms. Drysdale is definitely made it to my favorite up and coming authors list with this introduction. Taylor Bishop had me routing for her from start to finish and just when her ex boyfriend couldn't come off as anymore sleezier and horrifying he proves you wrong and goes even further lower than you could even imagine. The narrative is has a reflective tone giving you the feel of looking back after the fact and if she knew then what she knew after it was over the question would be if she would do it all over again is an interesting thought because at the end of the day it wouldn't make a difference and she owns that. She's wonderfully flawed and those are my favorite types of protagonists!

Pip Drysdale's The Sunday Girl is a delicious cat and mouse revenge tale. When Taylor finds out her boyfriend has put a sex tape of her online and the takes another woman on their skiing trip, she comes up with ways to get him back. The story is well written and full of twist and turns. It is a thrilling ride and I was hooked the entire way through. I'm excited for Pip's next book to hit the U.S.

This one was a quick and easy read. Totally a bingeable story and I finished it in a few hours. The story line was interesting and I thought the ending was enjoyable. I did have a hard time connecting with the main character though. Overall this one gets 3.5 stars which I’ve rounded up to 4.

From start to finish I was hooked and immersed into the life of the main character. Thrillers are normally predictable for me but this one surprised me. I was rooting for Taylor the whole time. This book is a while ride and you will not regret reading it.

A woman scorned in the worst possible way. I loved that she used the book The Acts of War to exact her revenge. The excerpts at the beginning of each chapter was clever and the plot was riveting. I will look forward to more of this author’s work.
Many thanks to Sourcebooks Landmark and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Oh wow! Far more intense than I expected!

As things spiraled out of control, I found myself unable to stop reading.

An excellent debut!

I loved this entire book. Pip Drysdale does a great job weaving a tale that keeps you intrigued and on the edge of your seat. It's an incredibly modern setting, with references to IG, texting, etc, but the tale is as old as time. Toxic masculinity at its finest. You'll find yourself cheering for the protagonist and wishing you could be there alongside her the entire story.

This book grabbed me right from the start. Taylor has just gone through a break up, which I'm sure most of us can relate to. The circumstances, however, were a little bit different....there were extreme lows for the character, then extreme highs, up and down, throughout the story, that had me wondering what was going to happen next. I was hooked and had a hard time putting the book down.

The ending, for me was almost...anticlimactic....I'm not sure what I expected exactly, but what we are left with has given me a lot of questions about what could possibly come next for Taylor. Overall though, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author, for an ARC of this book, in exchange for an honest review.
Unfortunately, I have tried reading this book on 2 separate occasions and during that 2nd attempt, I have only managed to make it halfway through so I’d rather stop here and state that this book just wasn't for me.
I wish the author, publisher, and all those promoting the book much success and connections with the right readers.

I wasn't sure what to expect from another title with "girl" in it, but I was pleasantly surprised! If you've ever been dumped and want revenge, this is the book for you! Taylor is hurt & angry, so look out! Fast paced and well written, I could not put it down!! Can't wait to read more by this author! Thank you!

Thank you Netgalley, and Sourcebooks for this ARC. I really enjoyed this psychological thriller from Pip Drysdale . The story centers around Taylor Bishop a nice girl who is in love with Angus Hollingsworth an older man who calls her his Sunday Girl. Angus seems like a good catch until Taylor sees his true side and realizes he’s far from it. Angus shows patterns of not only physical abuse, but also emotional and verbal abuse. Taylor does all she can to keep the peace and make Angus happy until the day they break up and he takes his ex-girlfriend on the vacation, Taylor was supposed to be on. When Taylor finds out Angus has also released a sex-tape of her on the internet, she reads the Art of War, and plots her revenge. As Taylor lays out her plan to get back at Angus she realizes just how dangerous he is, and that he may be plotting against her at the same time as she is plotting against him. Taylor has to be smart and play her cards right. As it seems Angus knows everything she is going to do before she does it, Taylor has to work harder to persevere. Ultimately things get really dangerous and Taylor hopes she can get out of this situation alive. As things spiral its clear they both will never be the same when the dust settles.

Hahaha - oh this book. Immediately you can't like Taylor... and she's the main character. But then I took the book with a grain of salt and really ended up loving it for what it is. This cat and mouse of two terrible people doing terrible things to each other - I was actually cracking up at a few of these horrendous acts. I just couldn't help myself.

I think the author gave too much credit to Angus, including his name, for him to be such a dickish piece of shit. But... that's also what made the back and forth between these two almost comical... and so much fun. I was definitely hooked and needed to know what was going to happen. Who would come out on top and how this story would end. It may have taken a little left turn towards the ending, but I liked that it continued in this trajectory.

I couldn't help but have a great time with this thriller. Abuse, control, stupid decisions with fatal results - I mean, you like thrillers, right? 😉

I am between a 3 and 4 stars for this one. It is definitely action packed and has a lot of thrilling elements. If you are interested in a fast paced book that keeps you turning pages, this one is perfect! I seriously couldn't put it down for the last 30 percent. My main issue with this one is that I felt like I had no time to get to know the main character. I like that it jumped right in, but there was no time to decide what I thought about Taylor. I would have liked more character development, and I feel like the ending was a bit rushed. I liked the revenge aspect of the story, but would have enjoyed more getting to know Taylor before the action started.
I would definitely recommend this one to fans of Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris!

“Some love affairs change you forever. Someone comes into your orbit and swivels you on your axis, like the wind working on a rooftop weather vane. And when they leave, as the wind always does, you are different; you have a new direction. And it’s not always north.”
The MC Taylor Bishop has been dumped by her much older boyfriend, Angus Hollingsworth. Good riddance, it was an abusive relationship that lasted way too long. She is very much relatable in that she’s hurt, angry, and fantasizes a revenge. All for nothing Angus deserves everything bad that comes his way! There are a few twists, but a lot is also predictable. Thank you to Simon & Schuster Australia and NetGalley for an ebook ARC. This is my honest review.

If you are looking for something quick, dark, and dirty, look no further!

The Sunday Girl is a fast paced look into one of the most dysfunctional relationships I’ve ever read about.

Taylor Bishop was just dumped. She wants to destroy her ex, Angus, as wholly as he destroyed her. What follows is a tense, terrifying look into what it’s like to ply mind games with a psychopath. Parts are very disturbing, so proceed with caution.

I loved this book. While dark and twisted, it is a perfectly paced and ultimately deeply satisfying read. Highly recommend this one for fans of psychological thrillers.

What I Loved:
I loved the game of cat and mouse that this story turned into. I was so drawn into how both characters were trying to one-up the other. It created this interesting, dangerous plot that I was enamored with!

My Synopsis:
Taylor Bishop has just been broken up with by her boyfriend, Angus Hollingsworth. Angus is an abusive man with an addiction to cocaine and Taylor needs to stay away from him. She’s heartbroken, but anger is beginning to boil within her over his treatment of her. She finds out he uploaded a sexual video of her to the internet, and that is the last straw. She is out for revenge, assisted by the book, The Art of War.

Taylor succeeds in executing some small-time revenge plans that she’s happy with, but wants to up her game. Then, Angus shows back up, heartbroken and extremely sorry…a changed man. And Tayler goes back to him. Ugh!

But, it becomes clear very quickly that Angus hasn’t changed at all, Taylor has. She sees through his lies now but soon realizes that she can’t just leave. This game of revenge that she started has another player, and he might just be better than her. Can she get out of this without losing the game…and her life?

How I Felt:
The Sunday Girl is a story of revenge. We know who the “bad guy” is and what is happening the whole time. So, this isn’t a thriller with twists and turns that surprise you, changing the direction of the story. It’s a thriller filled with escalating plans of destruction to each character that will have you on the edge of your seat!

The characters are Taylor and Angus. Taylor is this sweet girl that has gotten herself into a terrible situation with an awful man. She is clearly unable to see that she is an abused woman in the beginning, and I appreciated her character arc as her eyes are opened and she takes matters into her own hands. Angus is a terrible person, and it’s so easy to hate him from the start.

The plot was dark and stressful, but so enjoyable! As Taylor and Angus continue to execute their plans against each other, the stakes become higher and higher, and I got to a point where I couldn’t stop reading! I needed to know how the story would end!

Overall, I really enjoyed this story! I thought the characters were written so well and the plot fit their personalities.

Content Warnings:
Drug use and abuse, physical and mental abuse, extramarital affair, prostitution, forceful, yet consenting sexual interaction, homemade pornography.

To Read or Not To Read:
I would recommend The Sunday Girl to readers that enjoy a domestic thriller with a female lead trying to take control of her life back.

I was provided an advanced reader's copy of this book for free. I am leaving my review voluntarily.

REVIEW ☆☆☆☆
The Sunday Girl is a story of calculated revenge. Taylor has been humiliated and abused by her longtime boyfriend Angus, and she's had enough of it. Now, using The Art Of War as a guide, Taylor exacts her revenge. Things don't go as planned because Angus is cunning and always a step ahead of Taylor. These two play a toxic and deadly game, bent on destruction. But, who, if anyone, will win this game? When does revenge go too far, especially with a guy like Angus who deserves what he gets? Or does he? It's a twisted tale of love gone very bad and payback turned to obsession. I recommend this thrilling evocative tale about the fallout of an abusive relationship and subsequent breakup.

This book was good, but it didn't totally wow me. I was wanting more pieces of the story. The pace started off slow and didn't start picking up for me until over half way in. I was definitely hooked once I was 60% in. I liked Taylor, even though she was a little nieve. This author has a lot of potential and I'd be interested in checking her out again.
