This was such a sweet read and definitely the first of many I will be reading by this author. I found all the characters relatable in their own way. The romance aspect was written so well.

This lacked a lot of things for me. The jumpy timeline of their relationship, their lack of chemistry together, I had nothing to route for and really no one to route for because I did not like Lulu

Unfortunately around the start of the pandemic I requested a lot of books on cover alone.

I didn’t realise this was a YA romance and at 34 years old I’m not the target audience.

I will not be reading this novel.

An interesting structure here. Instead of the entirety of the relationship between the main characters it focuses on four specific days. Sort of. I might have liked it better if it had only given us four days with some references to what came before. But we get a lot of context and back and forth surrounding each central day. The up and down loses it's charm pretty quickly.

Four field trips over four years, we watch Lulu and Alex's relationships develop at each of these key points in their lives together. I was initially excited for what this book might have to offer, but I found that it wasn't executed super well; the pacing was off, and the characters themselves were disjointed with the overall themes of growth (i.e. they were getting older, but stayed immature and melodramatic).

As much as I wanted to like this one, I wasn't invested by the end and found myself more relieved that I was done. As far as the pacing, I think it worked for being a YA Contemporary novel, but barely. There's a problem I have with the combination of things that made this less enjoyable than I wanted, and I relied heavily on the appeal of the premise of the story to carry me through to the end, rather than the substance of the story itself.

The description was so promising and I was so excited that it ultimately fell flat. I had a hard time getting into the writing style or developing any attachment to the characters. It was a bit dramatic for my taste as well.

This book has a fun premise, unfortunately it wasn't clicking for me. I'm not sure if this is because I haven't been in a YA mood of late or if it really is the book. I found myself skimming more than reading and that is usually my sign for I'm not feeling this. Again, fun and cute premise, just wasn't for me

FOUR DAYS OF YOU AND ME is a completely charming and compelling YA contemporary romance. Told from the perspective of Lulu over four years, we follow her path to love and personal success. Lulu dreams of writing and illustrating graphic novels, and she is frequently working on her craft. Each year, her school takes a class trip, beginning with the freshman class trip to a science museum. On each trip, her relationship with Alex becomes something bigger and more important.

The book primarily occurs during the class trips, but also includes flashbacks from the prior year. There are elements of enemies-to-dating and second chance romance that really make this a book that tugs at all the heartstrings. As the book covers so much time, I felt like we really delve into their relationship and the way that it evolves. I also loved seeing how they both followed their passions and ultimately supported each other.

This book gave me a lot of feels. It was so easy to empathize with Lulu and her emotions and thoughts become so real throughout the book. The characters are so three-dimensional, and I loved seeing them grow. I would recommend this to older YA readers with a note of some consensual sexual content and swearing.

This is such a compelling and engrossing YA contemporary romance. It is impossible to put down, so definitely save a whole afternoon to devour this fantastic read.

Wow, that was a dramatic read haha. I enjoyed the time skips of this story and whilst I thought that might make it confusing to follow, that definitely wasn't the case!
The characters definitely do some shitty things, not only to each other but to those around them too, so definitely conflicted on the relationships in this story. But, it was a hella quick and fun read filled with lots of wild drama.

Overall, this is a great read if you're after something fun and easy.

It starts off slow and kind of dense, but once the action begins, it's hard to resist the story as it drives forward. It reads as a true epic, one that makes you feel the world really has been reshaped as you read it. Would recommend.

Four years of ups and downs. Field trips, kisses, breakups and friendships. This book was ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS and I loved every flippin' angst filled minute!!!!

I was instantly sucked into this book. I loved how it started off as a innocent Enemies to lovers vibe but grew into something so much more. I really liked how each school year started with their field trip which by the way is super cool. But then would go backwards through the school year.

The instant connection/chemistry with Alex and Lulu was absolutely adorable. I was rooting for them BIG time. I felt their heartbreaks and swooned at their precious moments. They're both such sweet characters with their own faults but I ADORED them.

The thing I found most refreshing about this YA book was getting to see them as a couple. I loved getting to experience their relationship with them not just all the angst of them getting together. That's what I wish we saw more in YA or Romance books in general. But yet they still have conflict and build up. So many BUTTERFLIES.

I can't recommend this enough it you love a good YA romance story that gives you all the feels. It legit had everything I look for in a sweet Romance story. Perfect Summer read as well. It was incredibly heartwarming. My only wish is we got an epilogue because I want more! I can't wait to check out this author's other books!!!

If you have read previous books from Miranda Kenneally, this has the same signature style, but the formatting of the story is a little different. This story takes place over 4 years, with their field trip being the main focus of the story. I liked this styling because it didn't show a HEA from when they first started dating. It shows growth in the characters and what they were wanting out of their relationship.

Kenneally consistently delivers fun, relatable contemporary, and this was no exception. I really enjoyed tracing these characters and their developing relationship.

Mini Review: I get recommended Miranda Kenneally books all the time, and I can definitely understand why she is some peoples favorite author! I liked how the book went back and forth in time (I thought it was a clever way to give you more time with the characters.). If you think this YA book sounds good, I would recommend trying it!

Every May, the school goes on a class trip. Lulu and Alex's relationship is different every time, who knows what this year will bring. I liked the nostalgia aspect of the four years worth of trips, but sometimes the back and forth got confusing.

This romance chronicles one couple’s romance over four years of high school—from its roots as an enemies-to-lovers romance, through break-ups and reunions, until the pair finally go off to college—the question is will they make it that far together or will all the complications of life get in their way? It focuses on four specific days that made a big difference in their relationship and flips between timelines so that you get little glimpses of the past and the present along the way. The result is intriguing because you’re always curious how the couple ended up where they’re at in each timeline. I felt like the book is a pretty realistic portrayal of a lot of high school romances and the big and small things that can get in the way of making a relationship work. Sometimes Lulu and Alex seem perfect for each other, and other times they just seem a little too self-absorbed to truly make a connection. In the end, they have to make it past all that to get to their happily ever after.
