This book was nonstop twists and turns!
At every incident that occurred by the next page it evolved into something else.
I had to read until I finished.
Good character development- and it was hard to tell where the next event would take us-
I would recommend this book to those who love a good psychological suspense novel.

Woman on the edge is a fast paced debut thriller that keeps the reader on pins and needles throughout. Is Nicole an unreliable narrator? Why would she give her child to someone she’s never met? There is much more than meets the eye in this one. A quick enjoyable read with a great cast of both good and evil characters!

I was so excited to read Woman on The Edge by Samantha M. Bailey after seeing my author friends rave about it. Once I got the book in my hands, I read it quickly- it lived up to the great hype!

I loved the writing style which is quick and snappy, what you want in a thriller. People who love to read psychological thrillers are going to devour this novel.

In a split second, Morgan’s life changes forever. A stranger hands her a baby, then jumps in front of a train. Morgan has never seen the woman before and she can’t understand what would cause a person to give away her child and take her own life. When the police question Morgan, she discovers none of the witnesses can corroborate her version of events. And when they learn Morgan longs for a baby of her own, she becomes a suspect.

To prove her innocence, Morgan frantically tries to retrace the last days of the woman’s life. She begins to understand that Nicole Markham believed she and her baby were in danger. Now Morgan might be in danger, too. Was Nicole a new mother struggling with paranoia? Or was something much darker going on?

This book pulls you from the beginning and there is suspense on every page. I kept guessing what was going to happen, I literally couldn’t put Woman on the Edge down until I finished it.

Coming out on June 1, 2020 Pre-Order here!

I devoured this book in ONE day!! I’ve read over 50 thrillers in the past year, and this one is at the very top of my list! I loved everything about this story- the characters, the way the story weaves two different perspectives, and the fact that I couldn’t predict the shocking ending!! This book needs to be made in to a movie! I will be telling everyone about this book. I am so thankful I had a chance to read an advanced copy.

Wow. What a great fast paced psychological thriller. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. Morgan is standing on the subway platform when Nicole, who she doesn't know, hands her her baby and tells her to take care of her and then jumps to her death in front of the oncoming train. The police suspect that Morgan pushed her to her death. The book alternates between chapters of Morgan and her life and Nichole and her life before her death. The character development is very good. The largest questions are: How did Nicole know Morgan? Why would she give her her baby? Who in your life can you trust? All of these questions are answered and then some. Thank you to Netgalley and Simon & Schuster for the chance to read this ARC.

This fast-paced thriller kept me guessing until the final pages. Greed, women in power, love lost, deceit, mental health and postpartum challenges all are mixed together into a page-turning plot. Sympathy for the main characters evolves as the plot becomes more twisty and we finally get answers to the big why - did Nicole Markham, a successful CEO, hand over her baby to an apparent stranger and jump from a subway platform (which all happens in the first 2 pages.). Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC. If you're looking for a page-turning mystery a la Gone Girl, this novel is for you! (And I think this will make a great movie too!)

Thank you to NetGalley for sending me this e-ARC. The description definitely screamed “READ ME”! And I most definitely enjoyed this book. I started this book last night and I stayed up until 3 AM to finish it and could not put it down. The build up was intense and suspenseful. It is actually hard for me to believe that this is Samantha Bailey’s debut novel. It is absolutely amazing! With thrillers I usually try to guess the plot twist or guess who done it but yes I didn’t really see this coming. Makes you wonder who in your life you can trust. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading anything else this author may write as I can guess she will only keep getting better. 5 stars for sure!

I received an arc copy of Woman on the Edge. Although the book was a tad confusing in parts, I actually enjoyed it once I got into it. There were some good twists and turns. It’s a story of a woman, who’s an innocent bystander, that gets pulled into a drama she has no control over. Being accused of being involved by the police ,and searching for her own answers. This story involves conspiracy, fraud and threats of violence Old accusations and new. A good read.

When a Nicole, a young CEO of a successful athleisure clothing
company hands her infant daughter to a stranger, then leaps to her death. More questions than answers plague Morgan, the woman whose life is now entwined with Nicole's.

This book was a great read. The plot was well-developed. The characters stories were told by combining present and the past. The tension was palpable. As a reader, I never was quite sure which character I could trust.

This is an the edge of your seat read. I could not put this book down until I finished reading it.

This book kept ME on the edge. I usually figure out the "whodunit" way before the ending of a book, but this time I wasn't sure until the very end. I hope to see more books by Samantha Bailey. I love her writing style.

This book kept me reading to see what would happen next as it was a roller coaster of events. I was able to guess the villain long before the end, but it still kept me going.

Lately I'm struggling with mysteries. So many of them put in twists just to put them in. This book didn't do that. I had my suspicions about what was happening, but there were enough surprises to keep me thoroughly entertained. There was the main story, with a few sub plots.

This was a mystery, a story about love and friendship. It was suspenseful. The way that the story unfolded with a timeline and pov that flipped back and forth made the story that much better.

I want to thank the publisher and net galley for the ARC, which did not impact my review. Now I'm off to see if there are other books by this author.

Woman on the Edge is a thriller told from two points of view. Each chapter alternates these viewpoints, along with alternating between the past and the present. The story begins with a very intriguing premise. What would cause a woman to hand her baby to someone else mere seconds before jumping to her death? The rest of the book fills this backstory in, along with showing the present day repercussions that this initial decision has on everyone else involved.

Was someone stalking the mother? Or was it all just a paranoid delusions? These are the questions the author wants you to ask, and the story does a good job of keeping them at the forefront. You'll suspect many people and have numerous theories before the end, which is always the mark of a good thriller writer. Ultimately, I was able to guess the twist ending before it arrived, but I still had a lot of fun with the ride.

My least favorite thing about the story was the mother's apparent obsession with chakras. It would have been okay if this had been mentioned once or twice, but she thinks about the need to balance her chakras several times. And, of course, she fails to do much of anything about it, proving the entire concept to be little more than a crutch to her.

If you're a fan of HEA endings, you won't be disappointed. Personally, I feel like most of them are a bit too convenient, and this one is no exception. Still, the rest of the book worked for me, and the ending is appropriate.

I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review

This one was pretty twisty- some more obvious than others but still an enjoyable ride. You really do you fall in love with the main female character. Solid four

This story about a mother who's so desperate that she hands her 7-week-old baby to a complete stranger before jumping in front of a running train had a shocking and harrowing premise and grabbed me right away. I definitely wanted to know and understand what had pushed her—literally—to such a drastic “solution.” Sadly, the execution didn't reach my expectations. As a mother myself, I found Nicole’s story a bit extreme and hard if not impossible to believe, or not explained enough. Nicole’s actions and reactions weren't the only characters’ I couldn't fathom. Everything in this story felt childish and so rushed that it felt like I was skimming through the book.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
