Good mystery and nice steamy scenes to round out this mystery romance. Romance lovers will enjoy a little suspense with their love story.

Sam and Nick are in the soup again. When the president lands himself in another scandal, this time of an affair he had while the First Lady was undergoing chemo. It just gets worse when the woman in question ends up dead. Once again, Sam and Nick will have to deal with the threat that he may have to step into the role of Commander in Chief if the president resigns while Sam is having to hunt down a murderer.
I really liked how much Sam grew in this story. Nick is still as perfect as ever but we got to see more about how and why their marriage works.

This is one of my favorite series from the author and I absolutely cannot wait to read the next chapter in the series as soon as it comes out. Engaging as it is to find out what's happening with our favorite cast of characters in Washington DC I have a feeling that this story line has run it's course and is no longer fresh and excitingA rare evening off for Nick and Sam and their friends is interrupted with the scandal that not only might the President have had an affair while his wife was fighting cancer but that he might also have a baby from that affair. The story is barely out into the world before murder changes the dialog even more. Will Nick find himself in the White House before he can think? I really do like the dialog with the party and Nick's stance on not wanting to be President.
As Sam jumps to what she does best as the top murder cop in the city and begins her investigation other things in her life are coming to a head and no not just the first lady gig which seems to be looming. Her nemesis Stahl who almost got away with murdering her gruesomely is on trial and for what ever reason despite the evidence every one seems to want to prepare Sam for the chance that he might be acquitted. Lady Justice can't be that blind or can she?
Most of the book is the scandal in the Police department with one of their top brass being caught in the scandal that caught Sam's father Skip in it's cross hairs and left him a quadriplegic. The family is dealing with not just Skip's death but the truth behind his case that has blown the lid off the corruption in the Metro Police department. Gonzo is ready to come back to work from his stint in rehab working through his addiction to pain medication and of course the Sam and her team go about the procedural work of following the clues to solve the murder dejour.
The story is very predictable and I definitely enjoyed spending personal time with Nick and Sam and their delightful family and friends.

Marie Force is back at it again. And it is better than ever in Fatal series.

She brings us another addicting Fatal book, Fatal Accusation! And I am loving it.

Readers get back from track from the previous book. And it is going to be doozy for Sam and Nick.

I won't go over too many details but I will definitely give you a little preview. Sam is recovering from her father death which won't be a easy one since she is facing many obstacles throughout Fatal Accusation but do not worry, she has Nick. But Nick is facing some problems too that you will catching all of the deet as you read along.

Fatal Accusation will definitely shake things up and expects more shake-ups in the upcoming books.

4.5 stars--FATAL ACCUSATION is the fifteenth instalment in Marie Force’s contemporary, adult FATAL romantic suspense series focusing on Lieutenant Samantha ‘Sam’ Holland, and her husband US Vice President Nick Cappuano. FATAL ACCUSATION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as some of the events are as of a direct result of events in earlier story lines.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Sam and Nick) FATAL ACCUSATION follows Washington DC, Metro PD lieutenant Sam Holland as she is tasked with investigating the murder of a woman connected to the most recent scandal linked to US President Nelson. President Nelson is no stranger to scandal but the fall-out of accusations by a campaign staffer could end his career in politics, as well as his marriage to his beloved wife. Sam Holland struggles with the knowledge that if President Nelson steps down, she and her husband will assume the role as President and First Lady, a position to which neither one is looking forward. As Sam begins to dig deeper into the murder investigation all clues point to the powerful elite, with more than one possible suspect on the horizon.

Meanwhile Sam’s private and personal h*ll wants a face to face but Sam struggles with what was, and what will never be. Betrayal hits hard, and our heroine battles not to crawl into the abyss when the truth about the who and why is slowly revealed.

Marie Force pulls together a colorful and energetic cast of secondary and supporting characters including Sam’s feisty partner Detective Freddie Cruz whose one on one banter is straightforward, animated and real , as well as a host of other co-workers and law enforcement who help make Sam’s life a little easier.

FATAL ACCUSATION, in some aspects, mirrors a little bit of the current US administration in that the honesty and transparency is missing and lost. Marie Force pens a startling, thought provoking and sexy story of betrayal and vengeance, heart break and love. The premise is dramatic and engaging; the characters are dynamic, charismatic, raw and inspiring.

I want to be Sam Holland when I grow-up, although I'm fairly certain she is younger than me because she handles herself so well and says the things I'm thinking in situations, has the hot husband and is generally a good person worth spending time around. If I can't be her I would at least want to be her friend, although in the Fatal Universe I'd likely end-up a homicide victim or friends with one. After 15 books Marie still hasn't run out of ideas or stories to tell. This is a self-contained story but would be better enjoyed from the beginning of the series.

Fatal Accusation by Marie Force is book 15 in the Fatal Series. This continues the story of Sam and Nick. I haven't read some of the previous books so I made this into a standalone book but I do feel I would have enjoyed this more if I had read them in order. This was an adventurous story of murder and mayhem. I did enjoy this book enough that I want to go back and read the others. I do recommend this book but I do say you should read the series to get the full enjoyment of their ongoing story.

First came the leak that President Nelson had an affair with his marketing consultant during the last campaign. Then, came the shocking fact that a child had just been born that could be Nelson's son. After all the scandals discovered in recent months, this one could be the one that finally forced Nelson to resign his office. This has Sam and Nick in a panic! Their lives are so full of joy with the family they have. Moving to the White House and Nick as president would be terrible for them!

As Sam is battling with the emotions of closing the case of her father's shooting, news come in that now Tara Weber, the marketing consultant, has been murdered. Sam is expected to solve this case before public opinion surges further in demand of Nelson's resignation. Can you imagine having to grill the President of the United States about his affair and his whereabouts in a murder case? Only Sam can be so lucky!

In this never a dull moment novel, our author shines as a suspense author driving us relentlessly to solve this crime. As usual, nothing is easy and usual suspects are more devious than usual.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.

In just not sure about this book, it wasn't bad it's very political and kind of made me think that there's another book out possibly? I guess I felt lost some of the time? Like I said it was a decent read, good story line and worth reading it just wasn't my type of book i guess ,if anything it's hard to describe? There was light suspense, the main couple was great but just a weird read for me! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

I hadn't read a book of Sam and Nick for a long time, and I was happy that I got to "meet" them again. The story is also cool and the plot gets better and better. They are as always a lovely couple and the kids add to their love. Looking forward to the next installment.

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE DRC!
