Traci Hunter Abramson has brought us a story that *squeel* brings characters from both her Saint Squad and Guardian series together! (No worries for those of you who haven’t read either series this book can be read as a stand alone.) Mistaken Reality is a fantastic romantic suspense novel. It’ll keep you on your toes with all of its twists and turns! Thanks to Netgalley and Covenant Communications for sending me a copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Mistaken Reality by Traci Hunter Abramson is a suspenseful and absorbing book.

This is the stand alone but it is clear that most of the characters have already been introduced before. Even though I had no problem following the story I think I might have enjoyed it even more had I read previous books.

The only new character is Hadley, who gets dumped by her boyfriend during a business dinner with his boss. While she is in the bathroom FBI is evacuating the restaurant due to the bomb threat and she is saved by JD, who is an FBI agent.
It soon becomes obvious that her boyfriend was anything but regular businessman, at his place priceless diamonds were found. Hadley knows absolutely noting about his real career but someone is out to get her. JD offers his house as a safe place for Hadley and that is how romance begins.

I liked the protagonists both JD and Hadley, as well as Kelsey and Noah who are JD's closest friends and agents as well.
A very interesting and heart breaking story about human trafficking unfolds. Some parts are bit unrealistic but go well with the story. The book is easy to read and nicely paced without any gore nor foul language.
Latter-day Saints church is mentioned and while it doesn't bother me I felt it was absolutely not relevant to the story.
This is a good read for Nora Roberts' fans as is part love story part suspense read.

I love this author and thoroughly enjoy her talent for creating a thrilling story, and this book is definitely another fantastic read. I believe it is listed as a stand-alone novel, but I think it would be very confusing if you’ve never read any of her other series or books. This story is incredible and completely intertwines characters from her Saint Squad series, her Guardian series, and her novel “Deep Cover”, which has always been a favorite of mine.

I loved the suspense throughout this story. It kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing til the last minute what would happen and who was behind it. It also jumps from character to character using third person perspective, and right as the tension would build with one character it would switch to another. While it sometimes drove me crazy, it kept me reading long into the night to find out how everything would resolve.

There was some sweet romance as well, and I loved how it played a part in the story. You first meet “JD” in her novel “Deep Cover”, so it was wonderful to see him have his own story, while still getting the chance to revisit favorite characters from previous books.

Another fantastic romantic suspense by the talented Traci Hunter Abramson- I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

"Mistaken Reality" is a romantic suspense novel. It's not listed as part of a series, but it has characters from the Saint Squad series and the Guardian series (and maybe others--this is the first book I've read by this author). While Hadley and JD were the romantic pair, characters from other novels were point-of-view, main characters: Kelsey and Noah, Kade and Renee, Brent, Seth. We're given enough background to understand this novel, but I got the feeling that I would have enjoyed the novel more if I'd read the previous stories featuring these characters.

The story was suspenseful, especially the human trafficking rescues. Hadley didn't seem very upset about her boyfriend and moved on quickly to JD, which bothered even her. It just seemed too fast and emotionally easy to be realistic. I liked the main characters and cared about what happened to them. Many of the characters were of the Latter-day Saints church, so there was some prayer and blessing mentioned. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this suspenseful novel, though mostly to those who have read some of the related series.

A well written, gripping and enjoyable thriller.
I liked the well crafted plot, the fleshed out characters and the entertaining plot.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.
Recommended!

Have I said how much I love Traci Hunter Abramson books? Probably every time I review one of them. I love the Saints Squad series and I'm equally hooked on her newer Guardian series too, so this book was a win-win for me because it brings them together! *squeal*

Hadley Baker is a third-grade teacher who goes on a date with her boyfriend and her life is quickly turned upside-down. She's physically carried out of the ladies restroom before a bomb explodes, and then finds out her boyfriend wasn't who he said he was. She quickly finds out what was her reality was really just an illusion.

FBI agent JD Byer didn't expect to find anyone in the ladies restroom when he cleared the hotel before the bomb went off. Hadley's boyfriend is a suspect but when he turns up dead JD gives into his urge to protect her. This case has JD and his partner Noah getting help from Hadley, the Saint Squad, and one of the Guardians. It's like all hands on deck to solve this one.

This story never let up and I didn't want to stop reading because I needed to know how all the pieces fit, if the bad guys would be caught, if the good guys would be hurt and if Hadley and JD got together? I don't want to give anything away about the plot but I will say it went in a completely different direction that I thought it would when the bomb first exploded. I loved seeing characters that I hadn't heard about in a while. It was like catching up with friends.

This is a clean mystery/suspense with mild romantic moments and mild peril. Thanks to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for my copy. All thoughts expressed in this review are my own.

This book was so hard to put down. I admit that suspense is typically not my favorite genre, but I love Traci Abramson's books. When Hadley's boyfriend Spencer, breaks up with her in the middle of a dinner with his co-workers, Hadley is devastated. The night only gets worse when she barely escapes from a building, before a bomb goes off, rescued by an FBI agent, she feels like her life can slow down, but little does she know it is about to get crazier. When children start disappearing from Hadley's third grade classroom, she wonders where the families are moving, because their home life isn't the best. A quick paced read with a lot of action. A book about kidnapping, human trafficking, and of course romance. This is one of my favorite Traci Abramson novels.

School teacher Hadley Baker’s boyfriend breaks up with her during their dinner at the hotel and in front of his dinner companions. She escapes to the ladies’ room not realizing that the hotel will be evacuated due to a bomb threat. Within seconds before the blast, FBI Agent JD Byers rescues her. Her boyfriend has disappeared and is later found murdered. Was he involved in the bombing? As JD and his partner try to find out who was targeted, Hadley’s home is searched. Who did this and what were they looking for? Her life is now in danger and she can’t go home, but JD is determined to protect her. The case becomes more complicated as some very dangerous people will stop at nothing to protect their illegal and immoral business. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Leave it to a former CIA agent to write a twisty, multi-layered suspense that truly reveals the mistaken reality that the title promises. I was taken along on a mystery that addressed a very troubling reality.

This book starts with a bang and a murder which is how any good suspense should begin. As the mystery unfolds, there is more than meets the eye. Hadley and JD are sucked into this situation and get to know each other along the way.

What could be better than a mystery, a little romance, and a happy ending?

Could. Not. Put. It. Down!
Traci Hunter Abramson has done it again! Expertly weaving together characters from previous novels and introducing new ones, she has produced yet another suspense novel that will have you reading till the early hours of morning. Because not knowing what happens next, is simply not an option.
Hadley is a third grade schoolteacher. Her boyfriend is a jerk. Or at least that's how it appears. As Hadley deals with unexpected breakup, she finds herself in the middle of a terrorist plot, with no idea how she got there.
JD is an FBI agent. After rescuing Hadley, he finds himself repeatedly returning to her with more questions than answers.
Together, with the help of JD's partner Noah and his wife (who avid readers will remember from a previous book), the Saint Squad (love those guys!), and a familiar Ghost, they race against the clock to discover the true target, and find themselves fighting on more than one front.
