Cutest book I have seen in a long time. So fun and the illustrations are bright and vibrant. Just a great little book that teaches maybe YOU are more scary than the monsters!

Monsters Are Afraid of Babies

I give this children’s book 5 out of 5 birds. I’m all about those monsters and scary crap and want to share that love with my children… except they’re not ready for the real stuff. So this was a good start. I thought the illustrations were engaging and fun to look at. It was fun to point out the contradictory behavior and we had a good laugh. This book was VERY simple and is for a younger crowd. But as a mom who pops her kids out every 18-27 ish months it worked great as a tool showing how babies act and what their needs are and what we need to do to adapt. Definitely one to read. It dropped on October 1, 2019.

Thank you to Netgalley for the free advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Such a cute and fun read for my five year old. He loved the illustrations and was interested in this book just by looking at the cover. He laughed at all the right parts and immediately wanted to read it again once we were finished. Five stars from both of us!

We were lucky enough to receive a copy of this lovely children's book to read! It is such a good book to share with little children. My son is nearly 4 and absolutely loves monsters and all things spooky, which is why this book was such a good choice. He loved looking at the pictures and got really excited about what would happen next. This is a really fun book to share with the little ones.

An adorable picture book perfect for a big brother or sister. The illustrations are colorful and creative.

This is a simple, fun picture book in rhyme that helps give young children a reason to be grateful for the presence of their baby sibling. The very things about babies that drive kids nuts (the smells, the sounds, the icky things that come out of every orifice) are the same things that keep monsters away. Why? Because monsters are afraid of babies!

There really isn't a lot of text, and some of the rhymes are tenuous, at best. But the illustrations are pretty amusing, and the overall sentiment is cute. If parents can't convince their older children that the squawking, pooping, toy-breaking new additions are actually a good thing, this book might help.

Overall, this is a cute little read for young children, especially those with baby siblings. (I'm not sure it would work as well for monster-fearing kids who don't have a baby in the house. What are you supposed to do then?)

I just love stories like this about bedtime monsters and how you can beat the monsters. Generally the books are how you should conquer your fear, or become friends with monsters as they aren't too bad after all, but in this one it has a new way to deal with monsters!

Namely, our MC's little baby sister. Monsters don't like babies, and we find out in hilarious illustrations why monsters don't like those little ones. Why they are afraid, why they cry, why they run. I had such a laugh seeing the monsters reactions to all the little baby did. From just rolling around to having a very stinky diaper, monsters really don't like babies. Though are they that different from a baby? :P

I loved the designs of the monsters they were just so spoopy and colourful. I wouldn't be afraid of those monsters, I would want to hug them. Be friends with them.

I thought this book was just adorable. Not only because it deals with fears for monsters and what lurks in the dark, but also because it is about sibling love. It shows that even if your sister may be a tad eww she does have something special. Something that brings safety and happiness. We all know that often siblings bicker and argue, so to see these two so close together was warmth and happiness.

All in all, a sweet spoopy book about fears and siblings, I had fun reading it and I would recommend it to all.

This is a really cute bed time story. I love the illustrations and the truth behind the story. I have a baby and yes he is scarier than monsters. Especially when he starts crying and you do not know why and what to do. I cannot wait for my baby to be old enough so I can read this story to him so he will not be afraid of monsters. The only thing I did not like it was that the book is too short. It is so cute that I need more.

Monsters Are Afraid of Babies is a cute book in which a boy helps take care of his baby sister. As the boy reads to the baby in bed, there are monsters visible throughout the room. The book explains all of the things about babies that scare monsters. This is a cute reversal of the typical scary monster story as the "scary" attributes of the baby are all normal baby functions.

The illustrations in this book will appeal to young readers as they are a great combination of cute and funny. The monsters are shown being tormented and terrified by the "scary" baby as she goes about her normal routines. This book would be great for children adjusting to being a sibling as well as those that are a little hesitant about typical monster stories.
