this was a great horror novel with interesting characters and a great plot. Overall I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read another book from the author.

I am not a big fan of short stories as I am often left feeling that the story hasn't been developed enough. This did leave me feeling like that. Holden is a psychic who can read objects past just by touching them. Against his better judgement he helps a friend out by visiting a sight of ghostly hauntings and ends up in hospital.
This book started slowly but started to speed up before I was at the point of giving up. There is a lot going on which is relevant to the past which takes up more of the book than the main plot line. This is obviously setting a stage for future work.
This was alright as a read and I would be happy to read future works in the series.
I received a free copy of this via Netgalley.

This was a short story that honestly could have been longer and may have been more interesting. The concept is great. And who doesn’t like a psychic suspense? But being so short we don’t get to know the characters enough.

I believe I would have enjoyed this being a full story instead of a short story.

I enjoyed this well-plotted story about a psychic who knows the history of something just by touching it. I got into the characters and their world, and though it started a bit slow for me, I finished it quickly. Recommended! (Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.)

This book was slow getting started. The story felt like it was too short. I don’t feel like we got enough background on the characters for them to matter. We were told just enough to make the story make sense, but the characters weren’t relatable to me at all.

Holden has wondered why he agree to step in for the psychic that left his best friend calling him for a paranormal investigation. Holden’s ability is the ability to touch an object and give its history. When the paranormal team arrives at the house, they set up their equipment. Reluctantly he does see what happened in the house in the past.. it comes to him in parts. Will he be able to figure out what really caused the death of one of the ghosts?

The novel kept me turning pages as the wanting to know more never stopped due to the author’s excellent writing. The characters were written so that they didn’t slow the book down. It’s eerie and scary throughout the book. I enjoyed it immensely.

This book is one of the greatest horror stories that I have read. I am a real horror fan and yes, this story gave me goosebumps. It’s worth trying.

The first 2 chapters are a bit confusing, I felt like the details were missing but the truth was the details were provided in the later chapter. There little description of characters shape, size and features but it’s a 67 pages short story so I forgive that part.

The story picks up really nice. It starts getting interesting but somewhere I felt like the grip was losing. The bedroom scenario of Holden with Stephen (the ghost) was hard to understand but still, I felt the story was very interesting. I gave it 5 stars because I think it is a great and really nice story.

It made me jump out of my bed while reading it when someone knocked on my door. You scared me and for a girl who watches horror movies and reads horror stories that’s a great thing.

I am looking forward to more if Ghostline Series. I really loved it. It’s worth an hour or two of book club discussion.

This book made my NetGalley experience extreme fun. Thank you once again for such a great novel.Looking forward to more of your publishing.
Do read my blog for proper information on this book.

This book was a fun, quick, spooky read. The main character is blind but can "see" spirits when he touches objects that once belonged to them. In this case, he is asked to investigate a haunted house to help determine what really happened there. I would say this book is both a mystery novel and a paranormal thriller. Interested to see what happens in the sequel!

This is a really short read but its interesting. I like the premise and even though it's a quick read the characters feel tangible and natural within this world. Good beginning and I'd like to see were this goes. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

A good short horror story. The characters are interesting and developing. I feel like this book lays a lot of groundwork. There is a lot of tension for such a short read. I am interested to see where things go.

Phantom echoes by BD Wilson.
Being a psychic doesn’t mean you have to believe in Ghosts.

Unfortunately for Holden, his best friend refuses to accept that.

Holden can read the history of an object just by touching it. It’s been a struggle most of his life and every time he’s tried to use it for a beneficial purpose it’s gone horribly wrong.

But when his best friend convinces Holden to step in for a paranormal investigation, it turns out hauntings are as real as psychics. Sticking with the investigation risks landing him in the hospital again. Leaving means abandoning the ghosts who are repeating the night of their deaths over and over forever. Can he really walk away when he might be the only one who can help?
A fantastic read with some great characters. Loved Holden. Creepy and eerie too. Looking forward to the next book. 5*.

A group of people coming to and staying at a reportedly haunted house to investigate is my dream scenario in a book. As an earnest lover of horror and most things occult, it actually is a dream of mine to spend a night in a haunted house.
So a group of five setting camps in such a house immediately caught my attention. In the first two chapters the story kind of doesn't roll up quite fluidly, however as you get into character; things begin to get more interesting and intense.
The setting is simple; storytelling, to the point. But I couldn't help but fumble upon here and there. I hope as the series progresses, it will keep getting smoother.
So the story revolves mostly around Holden. Holden is psychometric who gets to know the history of objects by touching them. But the past of the house rouses in him something more than just psychometry. It somehow enables his more psychic side.
The hauntings also wake up a terrible tragedy in Holden's childhood. It wreaks havoc to his psyche.
Towards the end, while solving the problems of the haunting, it seems as if Holden finds at least a little bit of solace to his weary heart; or does he. We will only know when the next book in the Ghost Line series comes out.
Overall it's a good short horror read. Maybe something for a short book club read.
