Great story! She's her sister's maid of honor and has a fling with the best man. She comes home and is distracted by her hot neighbor only to find out he's the best man! Quick and dirty and tons of fun!

I love Stefanie London’s writing, The Fling was such a fun short story! I loved the characters chemistry and the storyline, I think it would have been a five star for me if it was a full length novel. Four stars!

Read in one evening- great little romance! Chemistry leads to a bit of banter between the two and some sizzling moments. Another great read by Stefanie London, I’d be more creative and descriptive with the review, except I’ve stayed up too late reading this in one setting and need some sleep!!

Thankfully, I had to finish The Fling to review it. It did not start strong for me, playing into multiple stereotypes about dippy bridesmaids, a perfectionist sister, and the black sheep of the family. Thankfully, London did not leave me there for long—she couldn’t. It’s a short novel and doesn’t have the length to develop characters slowly. In fact, it moves so quickly that we have a “fling,” hence the title, in the first 12% of the book. Flynn Lewis and Drew Richardson are temporary neighbors when they meet in the hall of their exclusive apartment building. They flirt. They fling.

The one-night stand sets up a predicament because Drew’s twin sister is marrying Flynn’s cousin. Unknown to the other, Flynn is the best man and Drew is the maid of honor. They’ve been exchanging tense emails regarding their wedding duties. When the truth is revealed… awkward. Unfortunately, the book depends too heavily on their physical chemistry to carry them through all the awkward moments of their opposing personalities. One of those moments went too far for me where Flynn intentionally embarrassed and hurt Drew. He actually declares his actions as payback to Drew’s actions, but it felt disproportionate. When confronted, he does not really apologize. After that moment in particular, Drew says, “Why do I keep wanting to have sex with you? I don’t even like you.” I was scratching my head on that one too.

Ultimately, I liked these characters more than I liked their story or even them together. London creates moment of vulnerability which her characters embrace. She makes it make sense, but for the speed of the action, it’s a lot of disbelief to suspend.

My Rating: B- Liked It, but I had a few small issues

Drew was giving the position of Maid of Honor at her twin sisters wedding. They may be twins but are total opposites. Her sister is sensible and thinks things out and Drew does things without thought. Having just ended a relationship that she thought was her forever one this is the last thing she wants to do. Her sexy next door neighbor Flynn Lewis is everything Drew isn't but he does everything by the book. The banter between these two are what makes this story keep a smile on your face and even though both have dealt with heartache and have no intention of getting involved, this is a Ms. London book and her stories rock. She warms up the story with high heat and never lets a reader down. An awesome author and a fantastic book.

Drew loves Presley who is her twin sister. But they are opposite each other. Now Presley is getting married and Drew was her maid of honor. She wanted Presley to have a perfect wedding. Drew is a flight attendant and her friends are scattered all over the world. Being a flight attendant and you end up with a globally fragmented social circle. That suited Drew just fine. She had a friend in Melbourne but she was away but she was letting Drew use her apartment to stay in. Flynn was looking at his screen when his assistant Francus called him by his full name which was only allowed since she was the only person who lasted more than five minutes working for Flynn. Flynn was known as “ the jerk in the navy suit” in his industry. Flynn’s inbox resembles the aftermath if a toddler toy flinging rampage. . Francis is actually a lovely woman with a heart of gold, but would rather that fact stay hidden. Flynn worked 24/7 appealed to him because it was easier to avoid stuff Flynn didn’t want to deal with. Flynn is not one of the peop-le who feel a need for a community connection. Nor did he attend the various socials the building puts on for the people living there. Flynn thought about the girl he had helped in the stairway and was staying next store. He nicknamed her Blondie as he didn;t know her name. He never met a woman like her before: not who was so daring and didn’t give a hoot about what he thought about her. Presley was everything Drew desperately wanted to be. Drew/Blondie and Flynn/Mr Suit spent a couple of nights together after Drew had locked herself out of her friends apartment. Flynn couldn’t resist her any longer. But then they find out they are the maid of honor and best man at Presley’s wedding.
I really enjoyed this book. This was a fun, easy, hot read. This also had a lot of motion in ut at different times. I loved Flynn and Drew together and how they interacted. I loved Flynn’s dedication to his brother and niece- especially his niece. I also loved how much Drew and her sister loved each other even if they were totally opposite. This grabbed my attention and kept it throughout this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

We all have our own issues but Drew and Flynn share one that’s very similar but in different ways. Both are afraid to trust someone enough to let them into their lives so for Drew she runs and never stays. For Flynn he never lets anyone one. When they meet the attraction is off the pages, but he holds back knowing he’s not into casual, but she is burned into his mind and won’t get out.

When they come face to face and realize they are best man and maid of honor at their cousin and sisters wedding, things get interesting. She’s set to leave and he wants to shut it all down before it goes any farther and he gets hurt. But some time it’s all about the risk.

The Fling was definitely a warm read for a cold night! Flynn was the workaholic on a mission and a relationship was not in the game plan. Drew was the traveler, but just looking for a place to belong. Opposite attract and the chemistry was off the charts.

Boldly sexy, yet emotionally satisfying.

The Fling delivers on all fronts with a boldly sexy story between two people who couldn’t be more opposite. The exploding chemistry and playful, suggestive banter will draw you to Drew and Flynn as if you were a moth and they were the flame.

While initially drawn in by the sexy surface layers, it was the complex characters and their love of family and ability to see passed each other’s fears that kept me turning page after page. Flynn’s dedication to his brother and niece will have you swooning over this stuffed suit. But he’s not alone. Drew, while appearing to be flitty, carefree and wild at first showed that she was hiding depth and insecurities that many will connect with. Her desire to give her sister the perfect wedding party was very touching especially when it felt like her twin didn’t even know her.

If you’re looking for a hot red that has emotional depth, then this is the book for you.

A bold, sexy romance that will have you swooning and fanning in every chapter!

Flynn and Drew are hot from the start! Though the heat was there the passion came later and once the match was lit both became consumed! You could feel the passion burning the pages and I loved it all!

I love how edgy and HOT the romance is but more than that I loved that their was a story there! You got to really know these two and you couldn’t help but love them and root for their HEA

Ahhh!! The Fling was amazinggg!! I was addicted from the first page and was all about Drew and Flynn. There is nothing I love more than opposites attract stories and this had that in spades!! Flynn and Drew had amazing chemistry and their banter was on fire!

This story was fantastic and full of emotional moments. I love how drawn Drew and Flynn were to each other and the sizzling chemistry they shared. In addition I love how Flynn saw beyond Drew's fiery and badA$$ facade to the vulnerable woman inside and how he realized it was ok to take a chance on love. What a delicious fun read!

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. 4 stars! ~Ratula
