The best thing about this volume of multiple stories about three inept scientists and the various dangerous missions they go on is the genuine love the artists had in recreating the 1960's-style artwork and cover art found within this graphic novel. Truly, each page was like walking down memory lane, as I grew up with Archie and Casper and comics that looked just like these. From there, while the book is okay in its sarcastic, definitely-for-adults humor, this reviewer just didn't find the situations or jokes all that funny after awhile, even as a lot of potential existed in the fact that these goofballs find a way to louse up nearly everything they do. Not a bad book by any means, just not as funny as I'd hoped; though each mission's tale was super-short, I still found my attention wandering from time to time, and found myself only chuckling when I wanted to (sometimes at least) laugh out loud. 3/5 stars

Replete with photo-realistic covers and 1960s style art, Team Hashtag Danger bobs around looking for a purpose. There is Desiree, the leader and airhead with the money, Einstein, the super-nerd scientist type who can be bribed, and then Sugar Rae, the fun loving muscle. They brave dangers unknown trying to get noticed. They use all the paraphernalia of modern life and still manage to goof-up, I mean Craigslist to attract villains? The fun lies in seeing what absurd situations they can dig themselves into and still survive. Not a bad title for the laughs.

Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to read this title.

Expecting a modern take on the fantastic four with horror elements I was really excited to get to read this.

Unfortunately and even though I appretiated what this book wanted to do it was complicated to rate since it has a very childish style and humor but at the same time some elements are more adults contents.

It ended up not being everything I wanted and it is hard to know for which public the book was designed since it is too adult for kids, but the humour might be too childish for adults.

I had an absolute blast reading this graphic novel. This team didn’t really like each other much, but came together for a common goal. Although they didn’t always see eye to eye, they discovered all kinds of amazing creatures together. It wasn’t always clear what was going to happen next, but that was one of the things that made it such a fun read. If you are looking for something a bit different then this is a graphic novel you will want to check out.

I was looking at this for a School Library. Two swear words in as many pages has meant I shall not be recommending it. The age group that this is aimed at do not need bad language in the story. It is unnecessary for the development of the plot. The drawings are clear and the short plots are different from others I have read. The characters slowly develop. Having said this I do not 'get' this particular book and do not feel it would appeal to pupils at school who in the main do enjoy a good tale with some morality in it.

I will give this one star. It is the only way I can send the review and the star is for the drawings which are colourful and clear.
