Amanda Kittredge was done. DONE! She was tired of being treated like a child. She's twenty-two years old, one year more than legal drinking age. Time to show everyone. She decided to move out of her parent's house so she went ahead and rented an apartment above the local dive bar, Coyote. Yes, that Coyote bar where the bikers and troublemakers hang out. Not only did she move into an apartment above the Coyote she started a part-time job there as a bartender. Her family's disapproval wasn't about to stop her. Not even when three of her four more-than-over-protective big brothers stopped into the Coyote while she was working. Plus now she has Brady Everett's attention!

After his father's death Brady Everett promised his older brother he would spend a year working on the family ranch he had left behind for college and his business in Denver. Brady also promised to watch out for Riley Kittredge's sister Amanda when she was tending bar at the Coyote. Brady is watching Amanda alright, watching her swoon to his kisses and more, so Riley probably would want to kill him for what's going on between him and Amanda. It was that tank top. Brady couldn't get the image of Amanda in that tank top out of his head.

The Last Real COwboy by Caitlin Crews is the third book in her Cold River series. This time it's the youngest Everett brother Brady's turn to find his true love even though he sure put up a good fight. I felt that Amanda Kittredge was just perfect for Brady. She really "saw" him and Brady needed that. The road to their HEA was quite a struggle but made for an emotionally satisfying read. It was a little long getting there though. She had to deal with her ridiciously over-protective older brothers. He had to deal with brothers who never seemed to take him seriously and give him a chance. It was gratifying to read how they overcame their family troubles and ended up with a HEA.

The Last Real Cowboy is the third book in Cold River Ranch series by Caitlin Crews. A contemporary romance that is sure to sweep you away and hold your attention until the very end. This well-written steamy romance is full of family, friends, hope, love, second chances, and sexy cowboys! The characters are intriguing making them easy to relate to. While this is part of a series, it can easily be read has a standalone novel. Once you read The Last Real Cowboy you will want to read the other books in the series. I can't wait to read the next book in the Cold River Ranch series

The Last Real Cowboy is the third book in Caitlin Crews Cold Water Ranch series that tell the stories of the Everett brothers. The first two books are the stories of older brothers Gray and Ty. This book is the story of youngest brother Brady. While their father Amos had ridden Gray and Ty unmercifully, his treatment of Brady had been to ignore or deride him.

Brady had received a full college scholarship and when he left home he didn’t expect to return. When Amos died the previous, Gray asked his brothers to give him a year on the ranch and they would make the decision at that time what to do with their inheritance. Initially, Ty and Brady wanted to sell. The ranch holds nothing but bad memories for them.

It is also Amanda Kittredge’s story. Youngest child on the neighboring ranch, Amanda has 4 older brothers. To say she has been over protected is putting it mildly and she has finally had it. At dinner one night she announces she is moving out. At 22 she has never even been on a date. She feels as though she is suffocating. To help her make ends meet she has taken a second job as bartender at the Coyote, which also offers an apartment above the bar.

When Amanda’s brother Riley asks his best friend Brady to watch out for his sister he knows not what he is asking. When Amanda asks Brady to teach her about womanly ways, she doesn’t know what she is asking either. Who knew what a force Amanda could be or what Brady would do to protect someone he cared about?

This is another well written book by Caitlin Crews. This story explores birth order, desire to stand for up yourself, and, even more, the strength one finds when standing up for someone else. As the third book, and third brother, in this series I only hope Ms. Crews will take us back to Cold River and the stories of the Kittredge brothers. I have enjoyed this series and do recommend it!

I received this book as an ARC thanks to Netgalley. This is my honest review.

“Perennial good girl Amanda Kittredge knows that her longtime crush on Brady Everett was never really supposed to go anywhere.” I thought the dynamic between Amanda & Brady was fun - but the writing of Amanda’s VERY overprotective brothers (Brady’s best friends) were probably my favorite part.

I’ve enjoyed this series and while this is technically a standalone, I think it is best enjoyed if you have read the entire series as it builds on itself.

Unrequited love!!! That’s one of my favorite tropes and this book is perfect. Brady made a promise to stay on his families ranch for a year and only a year. Little did he know Amanda had her eye on him for a while and she finally decided to take a chance. Amanda is ten years younger than Brady and he’s the sister of his best friend. All he’s ever seen her as is a baby but oh boy! When she finally puts her plan in full gear he doesn’t know what’s hit him. There’s a lot of heartbreak and family issues but it’s a nice mix of the sexiness and humor. I enjoyed Brady and Amanda’s story!

This was a fun read. Brady inherited a 3 way share of a ranch. Hos older brothers do not want to sell and Brady did so he is forced to work on the ranch for a year before Grey the eldest brother will listen to Bradys suggestions about the future of the ranch. Brady has a best friend, his best friend has an 21 year old sister who Brady starts to notice in a way that her brother would not approve of.

It was a good read, fun and sexy, and i really liked how they tied up the storylines of the other 2 brothers as well. The only thing for me is that the ending was very rushed, and i thought that the epilogue could have had a lot more details.

It took me over half the book to get into this one & I'm not really sure why. It was good, the humour was great, the drama felt real but it just took so long to get there. I loved Amanda, she was a spitfire & took great joy in proving to her over protective brothers & Brady that she was no longer a little girl. Her proposition to Brady wasn’t really surprising but it was fun to watch. Brady was sexy, but hard headed, which caused all sorts of problems for himself & Amanda. Watching them slowly move forward together was fun.

Becca has enough of her family protectiveness, she is an adult and want to be treated like one. She is moving out from family home, renting apartment above bar and getting part time job at the same bar. This is not well taken by her older brothers. They ask Brady to keep eye on her. Becca will do everything, so Brady sees her as a woman and not a kid.
He doesn't want to be home but he has to stay for a year.
His friend needs his help, of course, he'll help, there is only one small problem, his friend's sister is not a small kid anymore and keeping eye on her and his hands away from her is going to be a big problem.
Loved this story.

The Last Real Cowboy is he perfect romance novel to snuggle up by the fireplace with this winter. The characters have so much to overcome to finally come together-if they do! I love the Colorado ranch setting. Caitlin Crews is a favorite author and never disappoints.

This book had absolutely everything I want when I pick up a romance. Likable lead characters who you cheer for, an interesting family dynamic, a good mix of romance and getting to the romance and a good story at the base. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

The Last Real Cowboy
by Caitlin Crews ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5/5

I absolutely loved this! If you are a lover of romance, you will Eat This Up! It’s based in a Colorado small town where there’s wide open ranches but no privacy to speak of. The type of place it’s hard to shrug off ghosts from your past or avoid four overprotective older brothers. Brady is her brother’s best friend and Amanda is “ that little Kittridge girl”, even at 22. Determined to live her life and show everyone she’s an adult, she moves out to be a bartender at a bar on the wrong side of the tracks. This is where Brady gets a glimpse of the woman she’s become.

I love that this novel takes a traditional romance and spins it a bit. You know they’re going to end up together- or maybe - will they?? You won’t know if or how until the very last chapter. They both have to overcome their pasts and families to be able to move forward and discover where life is taking them. The author is giving wonderful advice and making this novel so much more than your average romance. I know you’ll love it too!

Amanda has been in love with Brady for long time but he still thinks of her as little girl. He changes his mind when he sees the outfit she's wearing at her new job as a bartender at the local dive. Amanda, still a virgin, asks him to be her first. I had a hard time reading this book. It was disjointed not a smooth read. A few scenes went on way to long.

I can't stand the whole virgin thing in a story but was able to look passed it because I really liked Brady. Brady is fighting a lot of demons due to his father's mean spirited dismissal of him. He never felt like he measured up and now he is stuck living on the family farm for a year after his dad has passed. His brothers seem to always push his buttons and don't take him "new ideas" seriously.

I did like Amanda more especially towards the end when she sticks up for Brady. In the end I think the two were perfect for each other.

Brady and Amanda have chemistry despair the ten year age difference. Brady has known Amanda all her life and is her brothers best friend. She’s the only girl and has been sheltered all her life. This was a really good book if you can over look how childish Amanda comes off.

The author got Amanda Kittredge's brothers right. No one is good enough for their baby sister. Amanda is tired of no one listening to her. So she does the unexpected. She moves out to an apartment over a bar. Not only does she move out, she gets a job there. Brady Everett is home for the next year in order to inherit part of the ranch their father left them when he died. There has been an ongoing battle between him and his brothers. All 3 of them seems to think they've inherited their father's bad temper. Now Amanda's brothers want Brady to keep an eye out for her. What they don't know is that they want the fox to guard the hen house. He is willing to go up against her brothers because she brings out the best in him. All hell breaks loose with both families. Amanda's temper reigns supreme and Brady comes a courting. Love the third book in this series.

Amanda Kittridge is fed up with her brothers, being the youngest and only female, she has not been able ever to go out on any type of date, including her prom. Now at 22, she announces at Sunday dinner she is moving out of her parent’s house and renting an apartment above a bar. She is also working there at night part-time. Her brother’s not happy and telling her she can’t but she can and does.
Brady Everett is home for a year agreeing to help his brothers for a year on the ranch. Still at times thinking about the city where he has been living for years. He walks in the bar and is shocked by the outfit Amanda is barely wearing. He is also wondering when did she grow up into a fine-looking woman. Trying to keep his eyes on her eyes when speaking becomes more difficult when her brother and his best friend comes in. his friend wants him to keep an eye on her for him which he agrees to.
Everything becomes blurred for him when Amanda asks him to teach her about guys, men. He ends up agreeing thinking this will be a way to keep an eye on her. He keeps more than an eye on here that’s for sure. This works out to be a very good story and ties in good with the other books. The author does a good job with all of the characters and you can tell they are still working getting over the death of there father from a year ago. There are many good scenes in this book but when Brady takes an ax to the table it was really good and if you have read the other books you will know why.
Overall a very good story.

It had quite an unusual start to the story. Not exactly what I was expecting. It definitely was awkward and almost painful to "watch". But it did paint quite the clear picture of how overprotective her four huge brothers were. Her whole family and maybe most of the town still thought of her as twelve year old "little Amanda Kittredge". She's been feeling VERY invisible and things come to a head and she's had enough. And I did enjoy because of those times that her fiery Kittredge temper began to catch fire and came out to play. She started to push back and go toe to toe with some people and I liked that.
One thing that Amanda and Brady had in common was that feeling of the real "them" being invisible. Not really seen clearly and rarely heard or taken seriously.
The tension between all three brothers was well done. The emotions as they continued to battle their "demons of the past" quite clear. They still carried some of the emotional scars when it came to their hideous but deceased father Amos.
Emotions are riding pretty high with Amanda as well. She has the opposite kind of family, a very loving but most times a smothering one; at least over her. I did feel like her mother and father were kind of odd though. Not that the story got to deep on the why of that though.
While I liked the story it was with some reservations as well. There were more times than one when the story felt SO slow that it felt stalled. As well as re-hashing several things over and over without any real resolution until the end at least. There is a H.E.A. so that does help.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”

Amanda is trying to gain her independence from her family, mainly her 4 older brothers. She decides to do it in a big way by moving out and hooking up with her brother's best friend Brady. Both main characters have family issues to work out. While Amanda has been crushing on Brady for years, Brady has done his best to ignore Amanda. The story shows how well this works. =) The characters were interesting. Both characters grow and change a lot in the course of the story. I enjoyed the interactions with their families as much as the romance between the two. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Last Real Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is the third book in the Cold River Ranch series. It is the first book I have read by this author. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the characters. I also enjoyed the whole younger sister of his best friend plot line.

Brady Everett came home at the request of his brothers and lived on their family farm for one year. Each of them were given the family ranch together. Brady knew he didn’t really want to be there, but he wanted his brothers to have their chance and dream of living on the farm running cattle. He wanted to diversify and open other areas of revenue (All nasty words to his brothers.)

Amanda Kittredge had had enough. Her four older brothers were so busy surrounding and protecting her, she was being strangled. Amanda decided to get a bartending job at the nearest dive bar and was able to live in the apartment above the bar. Her brothers about had a heart attack over it and were big jerks, but she prevailed.

Amanda has always had a thing for Brady. Brady was trying not to see her as anything like a little girl, until he saw her in tight jeans, tee and heels. It took her no time to capture his attention, but he knew he was damaged - too damaged for a relationship.

Caitlin Crews newest book called The Last Real Cowboy is a good read.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review**

The Last Real Cowboy is the third book in the Cold River Ranch series and this is the youngest Everett brother, Brady's book. I was excited to see what Crews penned for him after getting to know him a little bit in his brother's books.

Amanda Kittredge is the only girl in the Kittredge clan and she's got four older brothers who love to remind her that she's the little sister. She's always been a bit sheltered because of how overprotective her brothers are. She's never really dated because everyone in their small town didn't want to tangle with her brothers in order to take her on a date. Amanda has had enough and at 22, she decides it's time to move out of her parents house, get a job and make her own life. If that means making mistakes, then that's fine. She wants to experience things she hasn't in the past.

Brady Everett is the one Everett brother who chose to go to college and not work on his family's homestead. When his father died and he was left 1/3 of the land, he came back with the promise to stay for a year and then get back to his own life in Denver. He's always been the one that his brothers looked down on the ideas he has for the land are not taken seriously which frustrates him.

When he's approached by his best friend's little sister, Amanda, who is looking to be educated on being with a man as part of her experimentation, he knows he should say no and get as far away from the situation as he can, yet he does the exact opposite. With an agreement that what happens between them stay a secret, the two spend time together and Brady ends up showing Amanda everything she asked for and more.

I enjoyed this story quite a bit. For me it was a little bit slow to start, but once it got rolling, it had a good cadence. I really appreciated how Amanda stood up to people as we got along in the book. For someone that people always looked at as the "child" she proved that she was anything but, and she also proved that she was willing to go to bat for those she loves. Brady was also great as I felt he grew as the book went along in several ways. This was another great book to add to this already entertaining series!
