It is a very interesting book with good information. Maybe the way my kindle had it wasn't the best format to display it. I did find it wasn't consistent with certain Spanish words that were more rooted in the native culture it talked about. The images were beautifully drawn and depicted so well. Overall though I do feel like I learned from this and it was fascinating.

Tiny Travelers Mexico Treasure Quest was such a fun book for me and my baby to read together. The artwork is so bold and colorful, which really helped keep my little one engaged. It was a fun interactive read that we could both play along with, and it was just as enjoyable for adults as for the kids. Would definitely recommend!

The Tiny Travelers Treasure Quest series are search and find books for children that whisk them off on an adventure to China, Puerto Rico or Mexico. These picture books are full of fun facts and beautiful illustrations that children and parents will want to revisit over and over again.

The Treasure Quest series includes Tiny Travelers China, Tiny Travelers Puerto Rico and Tiny Travelers Mexico. Having traveled to all three destinations, I was excited to explore these books and see what adventures and fun facts were highlighted in these picture books. (I have included some photos from my own travels to each of these destinations at the end of this post – scroll down to check them out!)

These children’s books are filled with full page spreads of detailed illustrations that highlight a particular part of each country’s culture. Each page has a cultural item for young readers to find, as well as a fun fact. Some of the fun “Did You Know” facts were even new to me! Like, in Tiny Travelers Mexico, one “Did You Know” fact was, “There are three different colors of corn tortillas: yellow, red and blue.”

I really enjoyed the way Tiny Travelers used foreign languages throughout these books. In Tiny Travelers Puerto Rico, Spanish is included in the rhyming story, and in Tiny Travelers Mexico and Puerto Rico, the location names are used with the pronunciation written in next to the bolded Spanish word. Similarly, in Tiny Travelers China, Cantonese words, written in both their English alphabet and in their traditional Chinese letters are included next to their English word.

The final page in all three books is a map of the world and the country from the book is highlighted, which is a great way to put in perspective how big and connected our world is to children, as well as teach them where these countries are in the world.

The Tiny Travelers Treasure Quest series is definitely a fun series for small children who will enjoy the search and find aspect of the books, as well as learning about other countries and their cultures.

This is a superb children's book, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading with my daughter. The pictures are so beautiful and colourful, and the book is full of comprehensive information and facts, which children will love. It shows information about Mexico, the Mexican people, different Mexican traditions and even things like Mexican food, the population of Mexico and the language spoken there. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you for this book in exchange for an honest review. I viewed this on my kindle e-reader, so the formatting at pictures didn't come through perfectly, but the content was really good! I loved the rhyming cadence of the words and how it gave a blurb about different cultural aspects of Mexico. It had phonetic spellings in case you need that support and it taught about Mexican food, history, and traditions. I gather that this is part of a non-fiction series for kids. This would be a fantastic addition to my classroom library as well as a mentor text during a non-fiction reading/writing unit.

Another fantastic one in the Tiny Travelers series.

Just like all the previous ones, you get to go on a quest and collect your Tiny Travelers stamps for finding items on the page. The pages are brilliantly detailed and vibrant, and the book very succinctly covers all the main points of a culture and country.

I love the little added facts about things that are on the page, as well as the pronunciations!

I don't know how many books this series has but I hope it has many, so you can collect them all with the kiddos!

Cute little resource book to learns basic Spanish words. I read it to my nephew. The book itself is not very long. I wish there had been more common phrases and words.

Another great book in the Tiny Travelers series. I am in love with these books, and this book on Mexico did not disappoint. I grew up in Southern Arizona and studied Mexico in school, as well as being surrounded by the culture in my day to day life. I struggle to explain many cultural aspects that I experienced as a kid that my children have never experienced. This book is an amazing introduction to Mexico, and I love that it shows a variety of the areas of the country, different architecture, and various cultural celebrations. I will be thrilled to read this with my elementary school children.

Each year, I teach a unit Holidays Around the World. This is usually taught in November/December, and we “visit” a country for a week to learn about one of the holidays they celebrate, and I try to provide additional information about the geography of the area, culture, etc. Tiny Travelers Mexico Treasure Quest contains information I, as an elementary school teacher, may not think of including when talking about the country of Mexico. While I do not consider this to be a class read-aloud, I believe children would find interest looking through and reading the book independently after we have done our quick glimpse of the country as a class.
This book would earn a spot in my independent reading library, but not necessarily become part of the curriculum.

I loved this glimpse into Mexico! This book included so much into such a short book that I was really impressed!! I loved that it used extremely relatable and vibrant colors to match the theme. The treasure hunt was an awesome touch to help a young reader stay engaged on every page. I am looking forward to sharing this and others in the series with my 7 year old! Her grade also studies a different country every quarter so I am going to recommend these to the classroom teacher as well.

These books are fantastic!! We have been using them during our homeschool hours to have fun while learning more about the world we live in! There are lots of facts to learn about each country, but it is shared in a way that does not overwhelm young learners. My daughter is 6 and loves these books!!

My children are Mexican-American, and all of their family lives in Oaxaca, so we love a good book filled with Mexican culture. This book is perfect! The illustrations are gorgeous and the text keeps kids engaged as they learn new words and find the corresponding images. This is definitely a book we would purchase!

This book is filled with fun facts and vibrant illustrations about Mexico. I especially appreciated the pronunciation clues for Spanish words as an added bonus for readers. It was written in a fun, easy to read prose. It will be a must have for our classroom shelves!

This colorful book is all about Mexico. It is a little bit about everything that goes along with this country. I would say this is an introductory book about Mexico. This would be wonderful for an extra book when talking about Mexico. The pictures could be shown to show examples of how people live and what they eat in Mexico.

This book has really cute illustrations, some words shown in Spanish with the pronunciation, and many items from the cu,true and well known in the country. Each page has a did you know section as well as something to search for like a scavenger hunt. Multiple ages could like this book, older kids for the facts and did you know section and younger kids could look for the hidden pictures.

A fun and easy to follow book for children who are traveling the world through the written word. It's a great introductory book and it was a big win for my kids. My daughter enjoys learning about Mexico and learning Spanish and this was a big hit for her. We enjoyed learning some new words and looking at the colorful illustrations. I would recommend this book for young school-age children and I am looking forward to more books from this series.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
