Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. Did not realise this was book 3 and wished I had read the first 2 books in the series and could have related to the characters better.

Jess is on the up and up with her job. She also has a huge crush on her colleague, Tristan. Then, when they are on the verge of taking things beyond flirting, Jess leaves and both their lives take different directions.

Years later and Tristan and Jess’s paths cross again. Tristan has left London and returned to Bluebell Castle to help run his family estate. When he finds out that Jess’s marriage has ended and she needs a job and sanctuary for herself and her two boys, he offers Jess a job.

Jess settles in well but can she and Tristan pick up where they left off?

Starlight over Bluebell Castle is the third novel in the Bluebell Castle series. It can be read as a standalone novel if, like me, you’ve not read any of the previous books. I do want to read them though.

Set at Christmas, I really felt like I was there at the castle as the festive season kicked in. I really wish I could visit this place. Festive feelings aplenty.

Jess and Tristan are wonderful main characters. The book is told from both point of views which gives a nice, rounded story development.

All the surrounding characters are brilliant and as I said, I will be reading Iggy and Arthur’s stories at some point for sure.

I will not say too much more about the plot but Starlight over Bluebell Castle is a beautiful, warm, uplifting story of love, family, second chances and the magic of Christmas.

It’s a perfect addition to your Christmas book shelf.

Sarah Bennett has again created not only a wonderful story but yet another gorgeous series which sadly comes to an end with this book. Even though this is book three in the series please be assured it does work as a standalone. However I do recommend reading books one and two because they are both wonderful stories! Let’s just say as soon as I picked up Starlight Over Bluebell Castle it was like being wrapped in a warm and comforting hug. From the story to the characters and of course the setting, I was completely in love!

Jessica’s character was so down to earth and believable, I couldn’t help but warm to her straight away. Then add the charming but kind hearted Tristan to the mix and this was a couple that immediately had me rooting for them! I loved how Sarah Bennett threw a slight curve ball but I also think that it made for a much deeper story because of it. Seeing both characters dance around each other made things all the more interesting. Also helping to build the romance and sparks the more time they spent together, loved it!

It was so lovely to be back at Bluebell Castle, all be it for the last time. I loved catching up wth the characters and seeing them all together especially seeing the castle go from strength to strength. I loved the second chance romance, the family dynamics and the characters. All of these aspects combined to make something very special and uplifting. If you are looking for a book to brighten up these dark and gloomy winter days then you really don’t have to look any further!

Starlight Over Bluebell Castle is heartwarming, romantic and has a little sprinkling of Christmas cheer!

An enchanting Winter read, escape to Bluebell Castle with Jess, Eli, Isaac and Tristan.

Can Jess find true love as she transforms Bluebell Castle into a Winter Wonderland!

Will the Festive Season bring happiness and sparkle to Jess.

I loved this book as I imagined myself a guest in Bluebell Castle, surrounded by the love and friendship of those delightful characters living in Bluebell Castle.

A truly warm Festive read, I loved it! #Starlightoverbluebellcastle #netgalley

Fresh from redundancy and a divorce, Jess is wondering what is on the cards for her next. So when Tristan, an old colleague and crush offers her the job of transforming his family castle for Christmas. It’s an offer she finds very difficult to refuse.

Packing up her two sons she makes the journey to Darbyshire. Where she might find happiness again amongst the magical winter countryside.

A very well written book set in a castle in Derbyshire, this is the first book in this series that I have read but I will be reading the others very soon. I didn't want to put this book down and was sorry when it came to an end. I don't think I have read Sarah before bit I will be looking for anything else that she has written.

Sarah Bennett is one of my very favourite authors, I have loved visiting Butterfly Cove & Lavender Bay and the Bluebell Castle series is equally enchanting and filled with wonderful characters & storylines.
Starlight Over Bluebell Castle is the third in the series; however it can be read as a stand-alone book as although characters are intermingled this is a story that does not rely on previous knowledge of the backgrounds to each one as this story focusses on Tristan, the youngest of the Ludworth triplets and his previous work colleague, Jess and their efforts to organise a Christmas & New Year event at Bluebell Castle (but I thoroughly recommend the other two books!).
I adore Sarah Bennett’s way of writing, the story just flows with each page bringing more delight. She writes romance so well and judges the balance just right - and this book is romantic storytelling at its very best as surely there is little better than love bound up with the magic of Christmas ... perfect!

Sweet but disappointing finale to the series. I was so excited for Tristan’s story, but it lacked the passionate chemistry and conflict resolution necessary for a solid romance. Tristan is my favorite of the 3 siblings, and he deserved more. It’s understandable that he’d be willing to wait until Jess was ready to begin a new relationship post-divorce, but not that he’d sleep with her without any intimacy, especially since it had been years since she’d had sex with her soon-to-be ex-husband. I found it unrealistic that he’d pine for a woman for 7 years while she was married and had two children and that he never knew about her brother’s death.

Other weaknesses in the plot? The event-planning work they did for the castle seemed too much of a rehash from the first two books, and, with the opening of a boutique hotel (for all intents and purposes), the timeline was too rushed. Looking back on the three books, it seemed that too much was crammed into the one year following their father’s death. Also, there was no villain to replace the triplet’s mother and Jess’s mother was a pale substitute, especially since she wasn’t evil, just selfish and in denial. Her two boys seemed too well-adjusted for the turmoil in their lives, even if they were enjoying their time at the castle with Tristan’s family. In the end, Tristan and Jess were promised their HEA, but how long will they have to wait for her divorce to be finalized before they can marry and add to his ready-made family (which he so richly deserves)?

I received a complimentary ARC of this book from HQ Digital through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

This was a really lovely book and perfect for the holidays. It had twists and turns but it is so nice to see how a big love can develop. The background of the castle was interesting and it almost seems like this could be made into a series due to the number of stories involved in the true love. I would recommend this book to friends.

This is such a delightful, heartwarming read. The most perfect piece of escapism for anyone wanting to escape talk of elections and dodgy politics. Curl up somewhere warm with this light, romantic read and be whisked away to a castle that is home to the warmest, most wonderful family ever. I came to adore each and every character in this story, even the troublesome mother. If you're looking for a rainbow in the rain  with a festive feel then you'll love this joyous tale where dreams really can come true and a happy ending is guaranteed. It was such an enjoyable, refreshing read without too much conflict but enough of a teaser to keep you hooked. I had a delightful stay at Bluebell Castle and left it with a smile  on my face and a warm, fuzzy feeling in my heart.

Starlight Over Bluebell Castle is the third book in the series but the first that I have read. I now very much look forward to reading the previous two!

Book 1: Spring Skies Over Bluebell Castle
Book 2: Sunshine Over Bluebell Castle

Thank you so much to the team at HQ Stories for inviting me to read and review this book. It was an absolute delight.

Starlight Over Bluebell Castle by Sarah Bennett is the 3rd book in the Bluebell Castle series, and my first book by this author. I was not lost at all by reading this book first. I loved this sweet romance book. This story felt real to me. No game playing or stupid mistakes between the love interest, and that was a nice change from other romances. Jessica is not thin, she has curves and handsome Tristan finds her beautiful, which was refreshing. The story was well thought out, perfect for a holiday romance. I am looking forward to reading the other two books in the series. I highly recommend this book.

I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you.

It has been my pleasure to read and review a few of Sarah's books. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading them all. Each time Sarah releases a book, I grab a copy of it and I don't re-emerge until I have finished reading it. Then the wait begins for Sarah's next book. Well the wait is temporarily over because Sarah's latest book is called 'Starlight Over Bluebell Castle' and it was released on 4th November 2019. I can definitely say that you are in for a treat!! I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Starlight Over Bluebell Castle' but more about that in a bit.
It took me next to no time to get into this book. I was under this book's spell from the moment I picked the book up until the moment I closed the back cover. I just couldn't get enough of either the beautiful sounding scenery and the lovely characters. As soon as I started to read, I just knew that I would not be able to put the book down for any length of time and so it proved to be. I would pick the book up only intending to read a couple of chapters but I would still be sat there over half a dozen chapters later. The pages turned increasingly quickly as my desperation to find out how the story panned out steadily grew and grew. At one point the pages were turning that quickly that it was almost as if they were turning themselves. I reached the end of the story far quicker than I had intended. I had tried to ration how much I read in one go to prolong my enjoyment of the book but that attempt at rationing was soon thrown out of the window because I was enjoying the characters, the storylines and the author's writing style so much that I just couldn't stop reading.
'Starlight Over Bluebell Castle' is superbly written but then I wouldn't expect anything else from Sarah Bennett. She has a writing style that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. She certainly knows how to draw you into the story from the first word on the first page and you become so wrapped up in the story that you lose all sense of time. At least that's how I felt at any rate. I though that I had been reading for just half an hour but when I looked up to check I was stunned to realise that I had been reading for over an hour. Sarah writes so realistically and uses such vivid descriptions that I really did feel as though I was part of the story myself.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Starlight Over Bluebell Castle'. This is a heart warming tale that will melt even the frostiest of hearts. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers. I can't wait to read more of Sarah's work in the future. Here's hoping that we don't have too long to wait. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

Thank you to HQ for my invitation to the tour and my copy of the book in return for a fair and honest review.

This is the 3rd book in the Bluebell Castle series and I have been lucky enough to have been on the blog tours for all three.

I loved the characters and it felt like coming home going back to the castle again, this time focusing on Tristan who has been taking a sabbatical away from his London job to help save the castle with his siblings Arthur and Iggy.

This story starts a few years before when Tristan is just a graduate and an office party liaison with Jess is the beginning of something that Tristan feels is really special.

Sadly Jess experiences a huge tragedy on this night and life cannot be the same for her and she ends up marrying a childhood friend Steve and has 2 boys with him.

The book picks up in the present as Jess and Tristan are both about to move on to new pastures but is fate pushing them together or will they be destined to go their separate ways.

It is a really lovely read and I enjoyed going back to the castle one last time.

I read the book quickly and it was a chrismassy delight with reindeer and all the Christmas sparkle and trimmings and as always the castle was comforting and familiar. The quirky personalities of the family members made me smile throughout the book as they truly are so lovely and welcoming to Jess and the boys.

I will be sad not to be able to return to Bluebell Castle as I have grown to love the characters and it’s been a real treat to be part of this.

I love Jess and Tristan as characters and this one has got to be my favourite from the series. Although I'm pretty sure that I say that about each book!

This is such a fun and cosy story and when you add in Christmas it is just perfection!

I adored this, I loved the whole series and I am sad to see it end (unless there are more, please write more) I think it’s always a sign of a great book when you need to know more, what happens next , this was a lovely slow burn second chance romance. No drama or angst, I will criticise in that nothing seemed resolved about Marcus, or what happened there. Just brushed over, but it was so lovely I can’t mark it down.

You need to read this series it just melts you

🎀 Sweet, second chance, festive romance with a built-in family👨‍👩‍👦‍👦
4.5🌟stars
💞 😊I really enjoyed this last of the three romance in the Bluebell Castle series. It was warm, festive, and even better than the previous Sunshine Over Bluebell Castle. Tristan, the only remaining "uncoupled" of the Ludworth triplets, is in the mood for finding a lasting relationship like siblings Arthur and Izzy (featured in the previous books in the series). His generous offer of a temporary job and home to former colleague Jess and her young sons turns out to be the start (or restart) of something fine.

The boys Elijah and Isaac and the way the denizens of the Castle all take them into their lives and hearts upped the warmth of the romance, and the Winter Fair and holiday paying guests gave the story a fun, friendly atmosphere. Tristan's tender care for the boys is especially touching and Jess can't help noticing. And I found the author's treatment of Jess and Steve's break-up and aftermath, with all the worry for the boys' welfare and the parents' interference, very true to life. There's minimal angst and for readers looking for clean romance, the heat of this romance pretty much stops at some serious kissing.

Thanks to publisher HQ Digital and NetGalley for providing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Starlight Over Bluebell Castle is book three in Sarah Bennett’s Bluebell Castle series. It can totally be read as a standalone, but I recommend the whole series, it’s wonderful!

Tristan Ludworth gets his story told as well. He works with Jessica Ridley, who is going through a big change in her life. Well, their story started years ago, she had a crush on him and he seemed interested as well, but things progressed in a different direction. Now, he gives her the chance to work with him at the castle.

Life is different now, Jess has her two sons to look after as well. I really adored the boys, they added a lot of fun and cuteness to the story. Sparks definitely fly between her and Tristan and it was interesting to see how their relationship developed.

Of course Tristan’s family played an important part in this book as well and it was fab to catch up with Iggy and Arthur and everyone else.

Sarah Bennett created this wonderful, magical and sweet atmosphere, added a lot of feeling and passion to the story and created these great characters, I loved it!!!

I am so excited to review for the latest visit to Bluebell Castle, where we get to catch up with the triplets again and the progress they are making turning the castle around.

I am loving this series of books and the superb character additions in this book, bring a whole new dimension to the story. When reading about Bluebell castle I feel like Sarah has personally introduced me to each character so I can really connect with them as their story unfolds.

I loved this book and flew through it in a couple of short sittings, I was so keen to see what would happen and if they would get the magical Christmas for their guests that they have been planning. A superb third book in this series that will leave you with a fuzzy feeling and wanting to plan a Christmas trip to a magical castle.

About Books #:Starlight over Bluebell Castle

There's something that's really comforting about coming back to a series. About knowing the people, the surroundings. And of course: about getting to see what, exactly, happened to them after that last page, what happens to the Ludworth-triplets under the starlight over Bluebell Castle?

The story
The most magical time of the year…
Jessica Ridley’s life has just been turned upside-down – and not in a good way! So when blast-from-the-past Tristan Ludworth invites her to stay at Bluebell Castle and transform it into a winter wonderland, it’s the perfect distraction for Jess and her two young children…
Jessica is used to planning even the most elaborate events in her sleep, but she certainly didn’t expect to be working so closely with Tristan at the castle – or that she could still find him quite so handsome after all this time!
And with a little holiday magic in the air, it’s becoming harder and harder to resist his charms. Can Tristan convince Jess to give love one more chance, just in time for Christmas?

The opinion
You can say what you want about Sarah Bennett, but she sure knows how to build an atmosphere. And where Bluebell Castle was lovely at the start of the year and beautiful in summer, she managed to make it sound absolutely enchanting in the run up to Christmas.
The setting is, of course, only that - a setting. The relation between Jessica and her children, as well as the one between her and her ex? Those would have been enough for me. Combined with the Christmas stay she and Tristan make out of Bluebell Castle, made this book Iinto a perfect cosy read.
I have to admit that, for me at least, the romance between Jessica and Tristan spoke to me less than the one between Tristan's siblings and their respective partners. Maybe that's because we missed a big chunk of their romance, the entire part where they got to know each other. Or maybe it's because we're missing so much of the years in between, where Jessica was married and her and Tristan were just friends. Either way, their romance didn't catch me quite as much as I'd come to expect from Sarah Bennett...

The rating: 3.5/5
That's not to say this wasn't a great book, though. After all, I did fly through it in less than a day. However, I have to admit that, for the last book in the Bluebell Castle series? I was maybe hoping for a little more. (Goodreads)

If you want a gorgeous, charming, uplifting, and romantic read you won't go wrong with Starlight Over Bluebell Castle.

Jess and Tristan are such great characters. It was obvious from the beginning of the book that they were meant to be together and I couldn't help but mentally yell at Jess to give him a chance every time she dithered about making a decision. Thankfully she followed her heart.

The permanent residents of Bluebell Castle are loving, kind and full of fun. The feel good factor oozes from every page they grace.

The setting of Bluebell castle is a beautiful and magical place. If it was possible I would book in there myself for a holiday! The next best thing for me though is to read the previous books in the series. I haven't read the first two but I am sufficiently charmed enough to start them now.

Starlight Over Bluebell Castle is a lovely read and thoroughly deserving of 5 stars.
