This is an adorable little counting book for kids and I love the fact that the illustrations have soft colors so that the reader can easily read along and relax.

Even though they were different, most of the animals the dogs encountered were able to play together and have a good time.

I read this story to my 2-year-old grandson. Now, when he comes over to the house he wants to read “Connor’s book.” That is high praise from a child who has many, many books to choose from.

This book starts out with one dog and progresses to ten colorful butterflies. Not only is this a cute story but it incorporates numbers and colors without being blatant and overbearing. The illustrations are simplistic and soft which add to the lovely day described in the story.

I received an ARC from Bluewater Publications through NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion or rating of this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review and am under no obligation to do so.

Friends do count and with this delightful book for toddlers, you can have fun reading about what it takes to be friend. Dog asks cat and together they ask other animal friends to join in. Not only will your child and you talk about the wonders of friendship, but also the wonders of counting. I always enjoy this aspect of reading with my kiddos.

A book to engage with your little ones and share the joy of reading.

A Special Thank you to Bluewater Publications and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

I loved this story. It was a great story for kids to learn about different animals and seeing there were different amounts of each animal to practice counting. I would recommend this story for all kids. I also loved the illustrations as they were excellent but also had this rough around the edges look as well.

This is a cute little rhyming book that teaches counting and friendship. The dedication brought me to tears and it was fun to look for the flowers.

I thought that this was a nice story but a little basic for me and the images were cute.
For my daughter to want me to read it to her more than a few times it would need something more, whilst she is only two the story didn't captivate her as some books do and even though she enjoyed the counting parts of the story her attention sadly waned.

Friends Count...indeed they do, both figuratively and literally in this picture book as a pup finds ten things to count.  He also finds some friends along the way and they count in that they are important too.  The illustrations are pastel like and sweet.  Little ones may well enjoy this gentle title as they practice counting.
