This book really goes in-depth with extensive scripture details. I almost feel like this is more of a scriptural reference guide. There are some insightful comments scattered within the book. I feel it need a great deal of editing the format is unorganized and a little hard to follow. Overall it’s still an interesting read. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

Pray like a pro breaks the Lord's prayer down in exhaustive detail. The plus side is that the exhaustive detail consists of multiple scriptures which, set together, give a necessary context. The few bits of commentary are usually apt and insightful.

However, for me, the one big minus is the layout! At least in the Kindle version commentary flows into scripture after scripture and I would have liked a visual delineation like bullet points or offset text. There's no visual prompts which invite the reader to pause. I know it's our choice when to do so but it would have helped.

So, four stars for so much relevant scripture and commentary but please update the layout. It's like punctuation: people don't realise how necessary good punctuation is until the panda eats, shoots, and leaves!
