First Impressions...
Wow! I thought A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR was amazing! I absolutely loved Bishop and Stevie! I loved the way that their relationship developed, all of the crazy intense chemistry, and every single moment between them! They were wonderful! I also loved seeing more of RJ and Lainey and some of our favourite Pucked characters. ;) I've been a bigtime Helena Hunting fan for a while now, but this is quickly becoming my favourite series of hers so far!!!

This Book In 5 Words:
Sexy. Funny. Hilarious. Adorable. Exceptional.

As I mentioned, I loved A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR! I thought that Bishop and Stevie were wonderful! Bishop was surly, broody, and so awkward at times, but it was in the most endearing of way. He was also so freaking sweet...and genuinely tried so hard and I really just loved seeing him do his best to support Stevie...it was so sweet! Stevie, on the other hand, was a lot less awkward and definitely not broody. She was sassy, strong, and determined to make her own way. I loved that she was contradictory in many ways, but always managed to stay true to herself. :)

Stevie and Bishop were fantastic apart, but they were even better together and their romance was amazing! It was definitely a slow-burn...but boy was it worth it. I loved how their connection grew even before their romantic relationship ever started. I also loved the animosity between Stevie and Bishop at the start...I wouldn't call it hate, but there was definitely some fiery reactions going (their morning battles were hilarious...and I totally loved all of Bishop's "wardrobe choices" :P). It was clear right from the start that they had some intense chemistry! Once feelings started and things were underway...well bam! Their chemistry was phenomenal and I really loved how compatible they were...I'm honestly super excited just to get to see more of them in the next book now that they're together!!! :D

I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves slow-burn romances, especially if you love sport romances, broody, well-meaning heroes, and sassy, strong heroines!

Star Rating:
★★★★★

Overall, I loved A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR! I thought that the characters were wonderful, the romance was a fantastically sexy and well-developed slow-burn, and the story and side-characters were wonderful--I couldn't put it down! I absolutely ADORED the first book in Helena Hunting's All In series, A LIE FOR A LIE, and I loved this one, so I am ridiculously excited for the third book now, A SECRET FOR A SECRET! RJ and Bishop are amazing...and I just can't wait to see how amazing King is, too! ;D

Humorous and sensual, this story had me gripped and entertained from the start. I've yet to read a storm from this author I didn't enjoy. I think a lot of others will agree this is a good book.

I happy sighed, when I wasn’t laughing, while reading A Favor For A Favor, a Slow Burn/Hockey Romance. This is the second book in the All In series, and I can’t wait for the next! This RomCom started off as a comedy of errors, both main characters get off on the wrong foot when they meet, due to a misunderstanding that takes a while to clear up. I loved Bishop and Stevie, the main characters, and the witty barbs they slung at each other had me laughing out loud. As the title suggests, these two decide to work together, despite their initial dislike, by doing each other a favor in exchange for a favor, and they slowly begin to appreciate and like the other. Bishop and Stevie had incredible chemistry and I loved how it took time to build up and finally boil over, it was scorching hot!

“I want to be the olive to your pineapple.”

Stevie Bowman arrived home two days earlier than expected, on her birthday, to surprise her live-in boyfriend. Unfortunately, Stevie was the one who was surprised; she walked in on him with someone else and finds herself homeless. Luckily her brother, RJ, had recently married and moved out of his Penthouse apartment and he offers her to stay there as long as she likes. Tired from her trip, and the late hour, she makes a loud and terrible racket while dragging her luggage and trying to unlock the door, something her new neighbor is not happy about.

Bishop Winslow was thrilled when his neighbor moved out; he can’t stand RJ Bowman, his team captain and notorious playboy who partied loudly, and had a rotating door of women coming and going, until he recently married. They both play for a new NHL expansion team in Seattle and Bishop felt the position of team captain should have been his, he’s sure RJ got it due to his friendship with their coach. When he sees a hot mess trying to get into RJ’s apartment he assumes the worst. She must be RJ’s mistress; he’s already cheating on his wife! When Bishop insults and yells at Stevie, she decides to go to war with him.

“For so many reasons we probably shouldn’t fit together, but we do.”

Stevie and Bishop clash every chance they get, and make a game to see who can antagonize the other more. Until Bishop is injured in a game and forced to take some time off to get well. Good thing that Stevie has a master’s degree in physiotherapy. This could be the opportunity she needs to make a name for herself, and find a position on a sports team, on her own merit. They work out a plan to help each other since they both need a favor, hence…a favor for a favor.

“Everyone has a demon or two, Stevie. You just gotta learn how to live with them and find other people who think all your god parts outweigh the bad.”

Not everything is lighthearted and a laugh a minute, there’s a serious health issue that causes concern and adds awareness to a disease that affects a secondary character, and has coincidentally affected both MC lives in different ways. I love how this issue was dealt with and added so much to the story.

If I need to describe this book with one word, it will be AMAZING! I loved it and enjoyed every second of it. And if you asked me my favorite Helena Hunting hockey book, it is either the best or the second best since it is really hard to decide between Lance and Bishop :D A Favor for a Favor is the second book of the "All In" series. It can be read as a standalone but I totally recommend you to read the first book of the series A Lie for a Lie beforehand.

Bishop plays hockey for Seattle’s expansion team. He is excited to have a fresh start, new city, better conditions and becoming a team captain. However, some of these doesn't go the way he expects. The picture Bishop paints for others is a-holish, careless, selfish, not dependable playboy, however he is anything but. He is brooding, doesn't really let anyone in easily but at heart he is caring, sweet, loyal and selfless. I love how he is taking care of his brother and carrying too much responsibility without complaint. I think since this part is something I can relate, it made me love him so much more. Ohhh one more thing, his boxer collection is to die for LOL!

So here is how Bishop and Stevie’s story starts… He is annoyed to be woken up in the middle of the night by hot mess of a woman who is trying to get into his captain Rook Bowman’s penthouse. Of course the first thing that comes to his mind is Rook letting his mistress move up to the team issued apartment while he is playing house with his wife and kid in his newly purchased house. Oh my poor Bishop, stereotyping and being judgmental is not a good thing, you should gather all the facts before acting. As a newly grad school graduate, Stevie moves to Seattle to work as a physiotherapist specializing in sports therapy. Her plans of surprising her boyfriend by arriving couple days earlier so that she can spend her birthday with him goes to hell when she find him in bed with another woman in their new apartment where they purchased everything together. She is adamant about making a name for herself without any help from her brother Rook but thanks to her jerk face ex-boyfriend Joey Smuck, her life turns upside down and she had to ask her brother for help. After spending most of her savings for the apartment she rented with her boyfriend, now she doesn’t have enough for herself so when Rook offers her the penthouse team rented for him, she accepts. She didn’t expect the rude greeting from the hot neighbor. However, later on when she founds her neighbor injured and passed out by his door, she realizes he plays hockey with her brother and all his rudeness is because he thinks she is her brother’s mistress. Then she comes up with her proposal, a favor for a favor. Stevie offers Bishop help with his rehab so that he can get back on ice sooner and in return he will give her a recommendation. Stevie is feisty, smart, pastel hair colored goddess and Bishop is having hell of a time to stay uneffected. The banter and sexual tension between these two was crazy and entertaining. It was amazing to see how Bishop’s relationship with Stevie brings out more fun and lighthearted version of him out. I loved and enjoyed how their relationship evolved and they pushed each other to be better. I would love to say after their rocky start everything was smooth but that would be a lie. Also, Bishop’s rocky and not-so-good relationship didn’t help at all. It was nice to see bits and pieces of Lainey, Rook and little Kody’s lives but to tell you the truth I wasn’t fan of Rook most of the book. It was also good to see a bit of Violet and Alex. Of course as always Violet was hilarious :) Stevie’s friends/colleagues Jules and Pattie, Bishop’s brother Nolan and his best friend/teammate Ryan Kingston are interesting characters that I would love to read more about. Since next and last book of the series will be Ryan’s we will be getting his story soon. I hope we will get a chance to read more about the rest as well.

I loved this book and Stevie and Bishop is one my favorite characters that Helena Hunting has created till now. A favor for a favor is an amazingly perfect story, you won’t be able to put it down until you are done with it. If you are looking for a funny, sexy, sweet romantic comedy, this book is just for you.

Would I recommend this book: Yes
Would I re-read this book: Yeap, done that already :)
Would I read future books by this author: Yes

Loved this book! Rook and Stevie were amazing-they get off on the wrong foot, Rook thinking Stevie is her brother’s mistress, and a hilarious battle of wills ensues. Even so, their attraction was sizzling and only deepened as their connection grew. I enjoyed how they moved from enemies to friends to lovers.

A sexy and heartwarming read with witty and charismatic dialogue, this was another hit from Helena Hunting.

5 Stars

A Favor for a Favor by Helena Hunting is the second book in the All In series and it can be read as a stand-alone. All I can say is WOW! This story was AMAZING! Stevie and Bishop’s journey was full of tension that was so thick, chemistry that you will feel for days, and a love that was so pure and true.

These two characters were fantastic. I seriously fell in love with both of them from the get-go. Stevie was a well-developed heroine. Hard yet soft, independent, and a mouth on her like no other. And Bishop...he was the perfect hero. Underneath his gruff exterior was a man that just wanted to make sure his family was taken care of. Neither one expected the other…

I loved this book so much! Ms. Hunting nailed it with A Favor for a Favor. Highly recommend reading it!

Oh my word I loved this book!! I don’t know how Helena Hunting keeps putting out such amazing books. She seriously writes them faster than I can read them, I was in a major book slump and read this almost in one sitting. I would have if I didn’t need to get up early for work. I loved Stevie. She was such a strong and fascinating character and I loved watching her journey with her brothers fame. And oh my goodness if there was ever a male lead that I wanted a picture of, it’s Bishop. I must have a thing for gruff men with a sweet interior. If you love sports romances, enemies to lovers, and hot men in boxer briefs this is your book!!!! Their chemistry was fantastic and the slow build was totally worth the wait!

This sports romance was everything you could want in one. It was spunky with characters who were real and relatable. The male MC is alpha, grouchy and totally swoon worthy. The female lead lives life to the beat of her own drum and takes non-sense from no one. It is an enemies to lovers that has a heart warming family element that keeps you coming back for more. I have yet to be disappointed by a Helena Hunting book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves sports puns with steamy overtime.

❤️❤️❤️❤️ out of 5
I am an absolute sucker for a grumpy hero! I would take one every day please and thank you! I also liked that for once it wasn’t a super peppy rainbows and sunshine heroine he was paired with (although don’t get me wrong I totally love that pairing) but instead a snarky heroine who did not put up with his attitude.

Our heroine moved into her brother’s apartment after she finds her boyfriend cheating on her. This apartment however comes with one grumpy and annoying neighbour, who also happens to be her brother’s team mate. Yet they both end up peeking out the eye holes in their doors to see when the other is out to purposefully annoy the other. When our hero pulls his groin during an ice hockey game out heroine offers to help him with his PT to get back on the ice as soon as possible.... then queue them feels.

Normally I’m not a fan of either of the MCs just getting out of a relationship but the way that a friendship is built up between the two over time just works and had me not questioning it. I really enjoyed both main characters and the slow burn romance felt true to both of them, however, the internal crisis for the heroine at the climax annoyed me a little and I wasn’t a fan of the creepo ex harassing her at work and it being just fine. Overall I really liked this book and am looking forward to the next in the series!

What is it with man who are a-holes and broody that gets us going? Bishop is a poster-child for that type of a man and I fell head over heels for him in this story.
I knew I liked Stevie since book 1 but she was so much more than RJ's little sister. She is feisty, sassy, loving but like every normal person she has her problems that make this story that more interesting. I loved Bishop and the way he gave her time to come around about how she feels about him. It was funny to read how clueless he was when he wanted nothing more but to be with her and show her that he sees who she really is.

Together they make ridiculously cute couple and I was over the moon when they finally got over her (theirs) problem to reach the HEA they deserved.

Now I’m so excited for book 3 – I’m not sure I’ll make it till May. I need it NOW :D

Nothing signals the end of a relationship like walking in on your boyfriend drilling his boy bits into another woman. The fact that it was on the day Stevie was officially moving in with him and it was also her birthday, just added that extra layer of icing to the betrayal cake.

Thank goodness Stevie has somewhere she can go, her brother RJ has an apartment she can stay in. However, when she arrives and has trouble getting in, in the midst of her full on personal crisis she meets Bishop - RJ’s very hot neighbour. He just adds to the mess of the day she has had.

Bishop makes his mind up about Stevie within seconds and treats her accordingly. He is not on the greatest of terms with RJ, even though they are in the same NHL team. They have a tumultuous relationship at the best of times so anyone connected to RJ is automatically someone he is suspicious of. Fortunately he has a change of heart with Stevie.

When Bishop gets injured he finds himself in a vulnerable position. Stevie sees a mutually beneficial opportunity for both of them and a friendship of sorts begins to take seed. Bishop wants to get back on the ice as soon as he can and Stevie can help get him there. RJ is not happy about his sister spending so much time with Bishop and he makes sure he knows what will happen if a line is crossed.

Stevie wishes that RJ would just be a brother and stop trying to be her Dad all the time. He needs to trust that she is capable of making her own choices. Bishop is much more than Stevie expected, she sees the kind, caring and compassionate side of him that others don’t. And he is fun to hang out with. She doesn’t have many friends in her new city and Bishop is definitely becoming one of the most important of them.

There is a slow burning thang happening between Stevie and Bishop (Shippy) and they really do try to keep things purely professional. Once he is back on the ice all promises are off, neither of them can ignore the pull any longer. The coming together of this couple was long awaited and everything I hoped it would be.

Bishop has watched some of his team mates find love and he never thought it would happen to him. He loves that he finally has someone special like Stevie in his life, someone who has his back and someone he can count. Now he just needs to convince her brother that he is worthy of his sister...

Fucken Brilliant. Another great book by Helena Hunting. I could not put it down! Bishop and Stevie are hot and the chemistry is unbelievable. We met Stevie in A Lie for A Lie (book 1 in the series) and heard a little about the relationship between Bishop and Stevie’s brother. So I was excited when Helena announced book 2 was their story!!

Bishop is a professional hockey player. He was added to the Seattle team where Stevie’s brother RJ is the captain and Alex (from the Pucked Series) is the coach. Bishop’s focus has always been hockey and taking care of his younger brother. Without the money hockey and his contract provides he wouldn’t be able to pay for his brother’s medical stuff. Girls were never on his radar. So when he gets injured, his first though is to get better the fasted way possible. So when the hot, athletic build, pink haired neighbor next door tells’ him she can help him with extra PT, he jumped on the chance. But he did not know much about her other than she was driving him crazy and that she was trouble. He thought she was another puck bunny smooching off one of his team mates, he never in a million years thought she was RJ’s sister. And when he found out he was in shock and it turned his world upside down.

Stevie, had just graduated and starting a new job. She moved to Seattle where her job was and ready to move in with her boyfriend. But when she arrived to Seattle, nothing goes as planned. She shows up to her apartment and finds her now ex-boyfriend with another woman. She’s a mess and has nowhere to go until her brother offers her his empty apartment for her to stay in. When she’s moving in, in the middle of the night, she meets her insanely hot neighbor who has attitude she cannot deal with at the moment. After that encounter they both start playing a game to tease each other. It made me laugh every time Bishop would open his door with a new saying on his boxers’ hahaha. Stevie had no idea who her neighbor was until the day he was injured on the ice. She put two and two together and found out he was her brother’s team mate. She has always wanted to work on a NHL player and make her own way in the world, and this was her chance. So she offered to work with him on his PT and help him recover faster, than what was told to him.

What they did not expect was to fall for each other in the time they spent together. Bishop was Stevie’s brother enemy and Stevie was Bishop’s teammate’s baby sister. They had to keep it professional. They had to push those feelings down. But doing that didn’t make the feeling stop growing or the chemistry getting hotter and hotter. It all started as A Favor for A Favor. I highly recommend this book and give it 5 stars. I received this ARC for my honest review and opinion.

When Stevie's new neighbor sounds off on her she knows her stay at her brother's (Rook from A Lie for a Lie) apartment isn't going to be fun. So decides to fight his grumpiness and rudeness with a little game of her own. And she wins cuz she's awesome like that! But the tide turns when she comes home and sees him outside his apartment in desperate need of some hockey rehab, and she's just the perfect person to give it to him. Now the question is, will they be able to keep their hands off each other while involved in their new professional arrangement?

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, and if it's combined with sports? I'm a goner! Especially when it's done with lots of super snarky banter, serious sexy times, and a touch of the forbidden like it is here in A Favor for a Favor. I may have loved Rook and Lainey (and all of Helena's other hockey couples), but I do believe my Stevie and Shippy are my new #1 HH couple. They start off being more like enemies, but when the last page rolls around, it's nothing but sweet, swoony love, and they've cemented themselves as my favorite hockey couple, and my favorite Helena couple.

I do admit that if I have a choice I'll be picking a hockey romance before another sports romance. And if it is one written by Helena Hunting, it is on my auto-buy list. A Favor for a Favor is the second in HH's All In series and I've been ready to read it since I heard there was a new series. A Lie for a Lie is book one and the intro to the series, giving us Rook Bowman's story. Second in series has us reading the story of Bishop Winslow, Rook's teammate, and Stevie Bowman, Rook's younger sister. From the start I was hooked. I loved that there's a bit of mistaken identity, snarkiness, and the need to look under the surface. The more I read, the more I fell for HH's match up. I loved Bishop and Stevie together.

I'm very much looking forward to reading the next in series. It can't come soon enough.

I loved Stevie and Bishop so freaking hard!!! They’re just so freaking cute and honestly kind of a mess and I loved that so much about them.

Stevie is quirky and adorable, and calling Bishop a grump is a bit of an understatement, but I just loved every second of them together.

I loved watching them battle at the beginning and then watching Stevie bro him with his PT. I love that their relationship grows and develops while they get to know each other even though they’re both physically attracted to the other.

Stevie is one of my absolute favorite Helena Hunting heroines. It might also help that she’s exactly the kinda aunt I am. Always volunteering for babysitting adventures and buying toys/clothes my nephew probably doesn’t need. 😅😅😅

Bishop is kinda an asshole to everyone, and he’ll tell you that himself, but he loves hockey and he protects those he loves and that was more than enough for me to fall for him. Also, his underwear, his underwear definitely helps.

This book was cute and funny and sexy and I loved it so freaking much!!!!

This book had me at hello with such a beautiful preface. My goodness, @helenahunting has done it again with this amazing book! I absolutely loved this storyline, the characters (uhm, hello new book boyfriend 👋🏻) and the entertaining banter and underwear competitions. I never thought I’d enjoy the grumpy type, but dang Bishop was a catch and I loved being able to see his sweet side and the little things he did to show he cared throughout. I’ve now read two books featuring grumpy leads and I am definitely becoming a big fan! I loved the dynamics of this book and the role hockey played in Stevie’s life that influenced her present-day decisions. It was a brilliant concept and perfectly executed! This was most definitely, an easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me and my first one of 2020!

Special thanks to @thomasallenltd for this finished copy in exchange for my honest review and @socialbutterflypr for hosting this book tour! If you enjoy contemporary romance, you’ll love this book!!! It’s available on Amazon.

Give me Bishop with Olives and Pineapple on top!
Author Helena Hunting is my go to for Hot Hockey Book Boyfriends because she knows how to give us Men we instantly fall in love with even with their flaws.
Bishop is one hot hockey player you want to not like because he is a total jerk...until he is not.
Boxer Briefs will never look the same because I will now always think of his name when I see any outrageous ones.
I loved Stevie can play his jerk game even when everything seems to be going wrong in her life when she meets Bishop.
This book was soo much fun to read.
It is funny, sexy, steamy, romantic and full of the back and forth banter between memorable characters in this series.
Go get this book and be ready to love Bishop and Stevie in all their knicker & colorful hair glory!

J’avais beaucoup aimé A Lie For A Lie, le 1er tome de All In, la nouvelle série spin-off de Pucked d’Helena Hunting.

I have to say A Favor for a Favor is my favorite of the series so far. I swear I laughed from the start of this book until it ended. Bishop has absolutely no filter. He says exactly what’s on his mind and though he comes off as a bit crass, when it comes to the people he cares about, he goes out of his way to make sure they’re taken care of. Things definitely didn’t turn out the way Stevie expected and she sure didn’t see Bishop coming. I admire her for putting her best foot forward where her ex was involved. He was so freaking annoying. She handled him like a pro though even when things got hard. The bickering between Stevie and Bishop was hilarious and total foreplay if you ask me. There was no denying that these two had the hots for each other. I really enjoyed this book.
