I think Bishop seriously despises clothes, “are you still here?” The door swings open. “And still in your damn underwear. Where the hell are your pants?” The man tends to be a tad bit overdramatic, “because you’re half-undressed in my tub, and I’m a guy, and apparently my ***k is a effing sadist. It honestly feels like my balls are on fire right now. A semi has literally never been this painful.” At least the man is honest, “I’m going to ruin the eff out of this dress, so I feel it’s only fair that I replace it.” I grind against her..." I actually enjoyed this book so much more than the first one I adored Bishop.

The heroine Stevie is the younger sister of RJ, who is the hero in the first book of the All In series. She is left without a place to stay after an incident, and luckily her brother RJ has an empty penthouse where she can reside for as long as she wants. She meets her broody arrogant but very sexy neighbor Bishop the first day and things start off on the wrong foot. He is a member of Seattle’s NHL expansion team, of which Stevie's brother RJ is the new captain of. He assumes she is RJ's mistress and treats her not so nice, and he doesn't like RJ in the first place, so he is being extra about it. I really enjoyed their first meeting, because it also showed that Stevie isn't a woman you can treat like that and get away with it. There was definitely a strong attraction between them, but Bishop's attitude hinders from anything happening. After an injury Stevie offers to help him with rehabilitation and he accepts because he wants to get on the ice as soon as possible.

I enjoyed seeing both of them lower their guards and get the know each other. The pacing of their friendship/relationship was slow and steady, and I really liked that. Besides the growth in their relationship, I also liked seeing their personal development throughout the book. Both are dealing with some stuff and I was happy that those things were highlighted as well. I especially enjoyed the sibling love between Stevie and RJ, and Bishop and his brother Nolan. The side characters were great as well, and I am especially intrigued by Bishop's friend and teammate Kingston. I want to know more about him, and I really hope he will get his own book. A Favor for a Favor is a light and fun contemporary romance. The banter between Bishop and Stevie was great, and I think they make a great couple. I can't wait to read more books in this series.

Stevie's new next door neighbor is the cherry on top of her crappy life at the moment!

He's running around in his underwear all day long insulting her and looking all hot and sexy doing it.

Bishop is playing for the same hockey team Stevie's brother is playing for - but they're not really friends - at all. Bishop hasn't really found his place on the team yet. And now his thoughts are more on his sexy new neighbor instead of on the game! Plus he's worried about his sick brother / roommate Nolan. PLUS - he's about to be off the ice for weeks, due to a groin injury .... enter physical therapist neighbor Stevie ...

I just adored Stevie and Bishop - or Shippy - as his brother calls him! LOL!

Stevie and Bishop kind of hate each other on sight. But in Bishop's case, it could be excused, he thought she was a puck bunny trying to break into Rook's apartment!

Their 'courtship' is so hilariously adorable for the reader. I just loved watching them fight and flirt and argue!

Amazing Rom-Com!

Of course we have some not-so-funny problems too - like brother Nolan's disease and Shippy's injury and Stevie's idiot ex and how Stevie's brother kinda hates Bishop.

I felt that Stevie's behavior regarding the whole having-a-famous-brother/boyfriend thing is a bit exaggerated and silly and immature. Ok - it made her highschool time horrible, but still, she's a grown up now and I think she's just too weird about that whole thing. That bothered me a bit, especially toward the end - but at least we don't have this extreme ridiculous over the top misunderstanding or fight or whatever other books love to have! ☺

I still really loved reading it.

Also - Pucked Violet is in it a few short times - in all her unfiltered glory! LOL!☺

This has fast become one of my favourite series. I'm loving getting to know these characters and also getting glimpses of our faves from the Pucked series (which I still really to need to finish btw, shame on me!).

Stevie and Bishop have the most awkward and aggravating meeting, and then many of their interactions for a while after that are all based off of that initial run in, and assumptions about one another. I really loved when they finally found out who the other person actually was, and then started to get to know one another.

Stevie has a lot of personal things going on, and her own insecurities have added to that, and I think Helena wrote this really well. To live your whole life with a famous brother has to take it's toll, and it was great to have a character such as Stevie, and to see her wanting to come out from under that shadow, not being a character to use her brothers fame and fortune to get her ahead.

Bishop also has some personal things going on, mostly to do with his brother (who I would totally love a book for, even though by the end we get some details about his personal life). I actually really liked Bishop, as much be has a gruff and at times rude kind of personality. Underneath all that he's a sweetie in his own way, and definitely a fantastic character.

Cannot wait for more from this series, another fabulous read from Helena Hunting.

When I joined Seattle’s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain’s apartment. Did I mention that he’s married to a woman who definitely was not her?

Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she’s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she’s not the captain’s mistress. She’s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister.

So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn’t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.

This book was super fun and interesting that I didin't want to put it down.

This just wasn't for me. I started the book and I was immediately annoyed at the characters, which isn't a good way to start. Bishop was just a no in general and I have to admit I prefer Stevie as a side character.

I can see why someone else would enjoy this type of story, and I'd suggest giving it a try if the summary interests you, but it was not something for me.

Hilarious from the meet-cute! Helena Hunting never fails to have MCs that I genuinely would want to be friends with. I endured high school and college with my stick up his butt brother, but never had to deal with the consequences of his decisions like Stevie had to with R.J., I would just claimed I was adopted.
Bishop has his own load of baggage to deal with, but the antics are too awesome to not enjoy. Every romance reader is going to fall in love with Helena if they haven't already with the All In series.

I think this book is one that makes me believe in giving author's second chances. I read two of the books in Hunting's Pucked series and kind of felt meh, "they were okay" on them, but I wanted to try this one because I heard such good things about the first book in this new spin-off series. I really enjoyed this book, like so much, that I bought the first book and read it immediately after reading this one.

I really love hate-to-love romances, so that might be why I enjoyed this one so much. Bishop and Stevie have such animosity and basically a "meet-hate" but I enjoyed the banter so much. The underwear fights they have was amusing to me too.

I do like a little forbidden love, so when Stevie's brother gets over protective I was just thinking, "Ha! They are so going to do it." I did like before things start with them they were friends first. Bishop is the type of hero I like, salty and growly. YAY! I also liked that Stevie could give it right back to him.

I just really loved their relationship, and I loved that Stevie was really into her career. I just had a really good time with this one, that I realized I think I just didn't like Hunting's other series because I didn't care for one of the characters. I didn't have that with this book, because I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.

If you are a fan of sports romance, I definitley recommend this one.

I frankly didn't think Helena Hunting could top A Lie for a Lie but boy was I wrong. As A Favor for a Favor was a cracking read. That had me chuckling, spilling tears, rolling my eyes, swooning, sighing and falling in love. As Stevie and Bishop were both charmingly sarcastic, and endearing characters. That had me grinning like a fool, but not only that this story has something Ms Hunting does brilliantly an odious character. Who you'll just want to punch in the face every time they appear. And with a slow burn romance. As well as a storyline that is full of this author's trademark humour, plenty of sweet, sexy and tender moments. As well as appearances from some old characters and the introduction of some new. This really was an awesome read. That I would happily recommend to all. As this can easily be read as a standalone, even though it's part of the All In Series.

Wow Stevie and Bishop are my new favorite couple of Helena Hunting. That book sucked me in from the beginning with their antics. The story has you going thru laughter and all the feels. A great storyline and characters that get you hooked!

A Favor for a Favor is the second installment in the: All In series. It's about Rook Bowman's little sister, Stevie, and his teammate Bishop Winslow. The story begins with her being heartbroken and moving into her brother's apartment where she met an asshole Bishop. After that we see how their bad beginning develops into a friendly/flirty situation and later on something deeper. Thankfully, this series doesn't follow the same pattern on the plot.
This is nothing like the previous book, it's funnier, lighter and doesn't contain many adult scenes. The characters were likable and down to earth. His bad attitude with her snarky comments were an absolute entertainment. My favorite parts were when they were arguing and when he was making her ex jealous. I fell in love with this book from the very first chapter. I will rate it with 4 stars.

First, let me state I am a Helena Hunting fan. I have read just about all of her books, and her Pucked series is a personal favorite. I have been so excited about this new series that is taking place in Seattle and the inclusion of some favorite characters from the Pucked series (Alex and Violet). We have already met Rook (RJ) in A Lie for A Lie, and this book is the story of his sister Stevie. We know there is some baggage with Stevie and RJ, mainly due to RJ's rookie behavior when he was still in Chicago and the death of their dad. I liked how Helena spent some time helping us to see how both characters felt and why they seemed to be bumping heads. The adage "perspective is your reality" really comes into play here. You got to see how Stevie and RJ learned to see the other's perspective. We all tend to think about how things affect us, and learning to see things from another's viewpoint can remove barriers in relationships.
Now we have met Bishop. I love Bishop; he is not smooth; he is not necessarily a nice guy. He's just an introvert who plays hockey. He loves the game, but he doesn't enjoy the other stuff that goes with it, and he avoids it. I like he's not this angry guy with a damaged past. He's just Bishop. He doesn't get along with RJ; they have just not hit it off. Add to this his introvert quirkiness and miscommunication with Stevie off the bat, and we have the beginning of a great story.
Stevie and Bishop get together by her, helping him with an injury and leading to humorous situations and the honest friendship that develops. Stevie is not put off by Bishop's blunt personality. To not get into spoiler territory, I will leave this here to say that it is a pleasure watching Bishop try to woo Stevie and not mess up. What is sweet is Stevie is aware that Bishop struggles with "romance" and embraces what he puts out there. I hope we will get to spend more time with Stevie and Bishop as the series progresses. We have met another member of the team I hope to be learning more about in the future.
I am enjoying the characters of this series, they are not the iconic bunch of the Pucked series, but they are memorable. Bishop is a new fav, and I enjoyed his awkwardness in social situations, and his thought processes as he tried to navigate those situations. His first encounter with Violet Waters had me laughing so hard. Poor guy didn't know what to do with her. I am happy Violet is there, and she has a whole new slew of players to embarrass. These poor guys don't know what to do as she's the coach's wife, and Alex is now a more gruff character. The gruffness is due to age, and he is now the head coach of the hockey team, and his stage of life has changed. Seeing the growth of Alex and Violet only endears them to the reader, and they are truly loved characters. Thank you, Helena, for bringing them to Seattle.
You cannot go wrong with any of Helena's books, and this is an adorably sweet addition to her series. I am so looking forward to getting to know this team better.

This was a bit enemies to friends to lovers. The banter was amazing. The chemistry sizzling hot.

My only complaint is that we didn't get ice action. I love when hockey romance also include hockey action.

Helena has completely stolen my heart with this new book!! I devoured A Favor For A Favor in one afternoon. This new series is becoming a new addiction!

The feisty, spirited banter mixed with the broken, quiet souls of this couple is going to melt you into a puddle of goo. Bishop and Stevie are two pieces of a puzzle that didn't know they came from the same box, but once they figure out they fit together the picture is breathtaking.

Bishop doesn't exactly have great people skills, but for a hockey player that's not a skill he needs on the ice so it's not one he's ever worked on off the ice. When a pink haired, hot mess moves in across from him late one night his less than stellar personality welcomes her to the floor.

When Stevie catches her boyfriend cheating, her brother, Rook (Captain of the new Seattle expansion hockey team) offers up the apartment he wasn't using anyway. What he didn't mention was his grouchy neighbor that doesn't seem to own clothes because he only ever greets her in ridiculous looking boxer briefs.

When Bishop and Stevie begin a neighbor war (LOL hilarious moments) that eventually transforms into a different kind of war when he needs help after injuring himself. Why is it a different kind of war...when chemical attraction is involved and professional jobs are at stake the battle of wills begin. Who will crack first?

Bishop is missing tact and yet he is still so relatable. I adore him for his awkward, tackless, blunt personality more than any other character. He fits so well with Stevie who understands him, doesn't judge him for his personality or make him feel bad for it. He also understands her and how she fits into the sports life. They are such a unique, honest, and absolutely perfect pair!

This book was so good! I will recommend it to everyone who comes into the store because I think it will end up on my favorites of the year list.

The two meet when Stevie moves in to Rook's empty apartment, which is across from Bishop's, after finding out her boyfriend is cheating on her, and immediately decide that they don't like each other.

Bishop doesn't like Stevie off the bat because he thinks she's his married teammates mistress (it's her brother), and since Bishop is rude to her, Stevie doesn't like him either and keeps antagonizing him. The two have to start working together when Bishop gets injured during a hockey game. He wants to get back to playing as quickly as he can, so in addition to doing physical therapy with his team's physician, he's also working with Stevie.

This book was so fun. It was a hate to friends to love story, which in turn means it was pretty slow burn. I loved reading about how Stevie and Bishop tried to get on each other's nerves and antagonize each other as much as they could. I also loved seeing their relationship progress to more after they start spending more and more time together.

I was super frustrated at how Stevie didn't set any boundaries with her ex, and let him continuously walk all over her and get too close to her physically, and keep talking to her. I know that this character had to be pushy because it was part of a plot point of the story, but I just wish Stevie was able to stand up for herself more in that situation. Besides this I didn't have any issues with the story and loved everything else about it!

Like every other Hunting book I've read, I binge read this one as quick as I could and could barely put it down (even when it was late and I could barely keep my eyes open). A Favor for a Favor also has Hunting's humor, which had me laughing out loud throughout the novel. Helena Hunting is officially an autobuy author for me, and I can't wait to read what she publishes next!

I have fallen in love with Helena Hunting’s writing. She has a way of creating these characters that make you fall in love with them and their weird sass.

A Favor for a Favor doesn’t seem like a normal romance to begin with. Stevie was a poor sweet tortured child. HAHAHAHA I didn’t even believe myself. She was a badass, taking names and not letting her brother’s name make a path for her. She was determined to not make headway at her job, a job she was good at, on her own.

Despite being cheated on and pushed down by her “boyfriend”, on her birthday no less, she bounced back and became Flubber.

SIDE NOTE: If y’all don’t know about Flubber, y’all are either way too young to be reading this book or y’all haven’t been introduced to the joy that is Robin Williams and a ball of sentient green goo with enormous amounts of elasticity and kinetic energy.

Bishop was a damn asshole and honestly, I was here for it. He wasn’t hiding who he was and he wasn’t into Stevie. Not at first. She was hot, yeah he could acknowledge that. But he didn’t want to have any semblance of a relationship at all. But then he met Stevie and started talking to her and got to know her and I loved it.

The relationship between Bishop and Stevie was goals. I loved it. And there wasn’t anything stupid about it. To tell you the truth I can’t wait for the next one.

While this novel had several humorous moments, I felt it lacked that sweet romantic element. Stevie stays at her brother's apartment and is confronted by the hero who lives next door and mistakes her for a mistress. I was completely repulsed by the hero who acts like a brainless asshole and parades most of the time in his underwear. Even when he finds out she's not her brother's mistress his behavior doesn't improve. Just couldn't get into this one.

“And how does Bishop look at me?”
“Like he wants to hold your hand.” She pauses, her smile widening at my eye roll. “And shove it down the front of his pants.”

Enjoyable slow burn hockey romance from Helena Hunting. Stevie is RJ’s (hero from A Lie for a Lie) little sister, but she doesn’t want to be known as that. Bishop is RJ’s teammate, but he also doesn’t want to be known as that. All jokes aside this one starts with a misunderstanding, some barely dressed morning strut off, and a bruised crotch. Really the book does have those things, but it’s more about a slow burn love story between two people who were not looking to fall for each other and did. Slowly but oh so surely!
