Important things about A Favor for a Favor:

  1. Enemies to lovers! Seriously, this trope is everything.
  2. Hilarious banter between the heroine and hero. These two are insane.
  3. Athlete/trainer relationship gives you a touch of the "off limits" vibe. Oh, and also team captain's little sister to add to the "no touch" vibe.
  4. Bishop isn't a whoring athlete. I wish authors wrote more non slutty athletes.

So that is my quick review! I am really loving this series and A Favor for a Favor was a great addition. I can't wait to see where Hunting takes this series!

Even though this is only the 2nd book I have read by this author, it will certainly not be the last. A Favor for a Favor is Book 2 of the All In series by Helena Hunting and to date, this is one of my favorites so far this year! This story was an intense slow burn and when things finally start to heat up, Oh My! Excellent story with great character development and lots of laugh out loud moments

4.5 'The olive to your pineapple' Stars!
ARC provided by the the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

We started with lies and now it's time for favors.. And let me tell you, when it involves a hot grumpy hockey player, I am oh-so-ready for it! I fell in love all over again with Helena Hunting after reading the first in the series and the second installment is just as delicious. Get ready for this slow burn sports romance because it's a wonderful experience you don't want to miss!

A Favor for A Favor is the second book in Helena's All In series and it follows the story of Stevie Bowman and Bishop Winslow. Stevie is RJ's sister and she is not at her best moment. Her boyfriend just cheated on her and her new neighbor is a grumpy man who is not much a fan of clothes (besides ridiculous underwear). Both make assumptions about each other and that starts the animosity between them. Bishop gets injured while playing and now he needs Stevie to help him with his recovery. That’s the start of their slow burn sexual tension and angsty love story.

From across the hall his body is a lot to handle visually, but this close, good God, this man is stacked. Muscles layer over muscles, everything tight and defined. He’s just... a lot.

And that is what makes A Favor for A Favor such a beautiful story: the slow burn and the emotions together with Helena's humor and these amazing characters. The development of Stevie and Bishop's relationship from hate to friendship to love was so well done. All the moments and chemistry between these two are to die for and the whole story keeps you so entertained and hooked to it that I just could not stop reading!

Bishop is a lot of things: sarcastic, assholey, determined, hotheaded, and a mammoth of a man. But his kiss is all the other parts of him I’ve gotten glimpses of over the past several weeks: sweet, gentle, soft. At first, anyway.

Of course, leaving aside how I also loved to catch up with this whole crew of awesome hilarious people, the best thing about this book is the couple. I love how Stevie and Bishop grow together and peel the layers of their personalities with each other. And when that slow burn finally explodes, OMG! So hawt and just so intense! There is also a bit of drama that kept me at the edge of my seat towards the end but I completely understand what and why it happens and it makes the happy ending so much sweeter.

“My whole world is better with you in it, Stevie.”
“Mine too.”

Therefore, my rating for A Favor for A Favor is 4.5 STARS because it’s the perfect addition to the All In series. A fantastic enemies to lovers romance, with a couple with burning chemistry, funny moments, great secondary characters and all the feels! Helena Hunting keeps surprising me and I am so glad I decided to read this series. Now I literally cannot wait for the third book, it sounds forbidden and I am all over it already!

Stevie and Bishop story was amazing, I love Helena's humor and this story has it as all of her books, the hot hockey player is there and the story revolving both is amazing, I love that he is not the good guy, and that they both overcome by helping each other out. There is also the boxer scene, you definitely don't want to miss it. Can't wait for the audiobook to hear this story again.

Bishop is part of the team that Stevie's brother is on and also his neighbor. Stevie comes home to find her boyfriend in bed with another woman. She is trying to get into her brother's apartment and accidentally meets Bishop when she gets the wrong place. Bishop is resting after an injury and Stevie offers to help him out. These two were hilarious, witty and captivating to read about in this story. I recommend this book and the first book as well.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

A Favor For a Favor (All In #2) exceeded my expectations because while Helena has given us some good slow burn romances (Meet Cute & Good Luck Charm) we haven’t really seen that in her hockey series. Yet, in A Favor For a Favor, we get the slowest of slow burn romances and it was perfection. ⁣

I could not put this book down once I started. Bishop is a gorgeous albeit grouchy jerk but guess what, you will LOVE him. He isn’t the jerk we all think he is. Stevie is a firecracker who hasn’t really found herself yet. Stevie & Bishop butt heads from the second they meet and then it’s a game of cat & mouse between these two as they tease each other and then slowly become friends. When Bishop needs help rehabbing an injury Stevie immediately offers to help. From the moment she offers to help, this story morphs into this glorious slow burn romance and you can’t turn away from the pages as you watch it happen. Of course, Helena doesn’t just offer up an easy ending…Bishop & Stevie have to fight their own insecurities and a very angry teammate/brother in order to fight for the HEA they both want and deserve. ⁣

This book has it all…immediate chemistry, witty banter, steam, and a lot of heart. It is an amazing mix of enemies to lovers, sports romance, slow burn romance and a bit of the forbidden since Stevie is his teammates little sister. All my favorite things. I laughed and I swooned. Helena really outdid herself with this book and you can tell her put her entire heart into this story, along with her amazing humor. I think we can all agree that there is nothing better than when one of Helena’s hockey guys finally realizes he has fallen for the girl. ⁣

And yes, for everyone who wants to know, Violet does make a cameo and she’s still as ridiculous as ever. ⁣

If I could give this book more than 5 stars on amazon and goodreads I would as this is my favorite Helena book to date. ⁣

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.⁣

This book was the perfect five-star read I needed to start off 2020!! Anytime I read H Hunting, I know I'm going to be laughing and falling for unique and fun characters and this book was no different. I fell for Bishop & Stevie immediately.

From the first scene when these two meet, their chemistry was on fire. Bishop had my attention with his original and quirky briefs and cocky attitude, and Stevie was a unique yet relatable heroine who I adored! As much as Bishop tries to be a jerk to Stevie, their little games with one another are hilarious and addicting.

Stevie is working through heartbreak, a new job and living in her brother's shadow, yet navigates it all with a fun and refreshing attitude. I absolutely LOVED the way she handled Bishop and his cocky attitude and antics. Although she was not 100% confident in life and in love, she showed all of her true spunk and confidence when dealing with Bishop, and that made their relationship believable and real. They were playful and honest with one another. Their relationship felt like they had known each other for years, not weeks. And when Bishop let his cocky walls down, I swooned over his big selfless heart and the way he cared about Stevie. He was protective, loyal, and oh so passionate.

I laughed, I broke a little, and I swooned over these characters and their story. The chemistry between them is oh so steamy and I fell in love with both of them, and the side characters as well. Can't wait for more of this series to come! Well done once again H Hunting!

Love, love, loved! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, I loved Bishop. Helena Hunting is one of my favorite authors. I devoured this book and was sad when it ended.

Stevie doesn’t have the best birthday when she arrives home early finds her boyfriend with another woman in their bed. Now she is living with her hockey brother in his penthouse. She is ready for a change and wanting to make a name for herself without her brothers help.

Bishop was so easy to love. He has to stay on top of his game since he is taking care of his sick brother. He will do whatever it takes. He is trying to find his place on the team and become friends with his teammates. His hardest sell on the team is RJ .

I loved Bishop and Stevie, the way their relationship was formed. You can’t help but fall for these characters and the story Helena Hunting gives us. I loved this book and can’t recommend it enough

Hunting delivers a fabulously hilarious slow burn that will have you laughing out loud one minute and melting into a puddle the next.
Stevie, little sister to RJ who we met in the first of this series, is having the worst birthday ever. Getting into town early to celebrate her birthday with her boyfriend, she finds him doing some celebrating of his own with someone who isn’t her. Left without a place to live, Stevie moves into her brothers empty penthouse.
Bishop is the the broody, cocky, and sexy guy next door. He is also her brothers teammate and absolutely off limits. Their first meeting had me wanting to slap him for Stevie, but as I learned more about him, Bishop had me swooning and falling hard for him.
The back and forth between these two characters kept me glued to my kindle and falling in love. I couldn’t get enough of them and love every second of their story.
Another hit in this amazing series!

If you know me, then you know I am a sucker for a good enemies to (friends to) lovers book. I can undoubtedly say that this one fit the bill to a T.

This book had the some great banter. Great banter. I giggled so much at the antics of Bishop and Stevie's reactions to them. They were not only entertaining, but they added to the future sexual fire between these two characters.

The chemistry between these two is perfect. It wasn't insta and it wasn't super slow. It built just right. It exploded when it should have. The journey to get from start to finish with these two was one I thoroughly enjoyed.

I am all-in with this series. I am looking forward to the next set of characters. I can't wait to see what journey Hunting takes me on next!

4.5/5 STARS

I’m just addicted to Helena Hunting’s Sport Romcoms!!

The writing, the humor and sexiness….

I loved Stevie’s character, and of course Bishop’s too (and not only because of his weird underwear obsession).

Add some Violet moments to the mix, and you’ll get another great romcom!

The series is getting more addictive with each book.

I’m definitely looking for Kingston’s story.

Well done, again, Helena!

If your looking for a slow burn hockey romance full of banter and a little angst, this is your book. Book 2 in the series but can totally be read as a standalone without trouble.

Stevie is trying to start out in her new career after finishing college, but her plans didn't quite turn out how she expected them to. She finds herself living in her brothers apartment and working at the same office as her cheating ex. One hot as hell, cranky ass neighbour who gets his morning paper in his boxers.

Bishop willingly transferred to the new Seattle NHL team, thinking this is the best move for him and his brother. Never expecting to get sidelined for the captain position. Determined to show everyone his worth on the team, when he gets injured in the first pre-season game. How can he show his worth on the bench healing?

What starts off with a chance meeting full of misunderstanding, turns into a favor for a favor agreement. This should benefit both of them very when if it all works out. That last thing either of them were looking for was a relationship. Will all the time spent together spark a fire? Will the team captain keep causing Bishop problems?

I am enjoying this spin off series and hoping that Kingston will soon get his book.

My heart is full!

An enemy gradually to lover with steamy and slow burn romance😘

If you've read A Lie For A Lie, you've meet Stevie, RJ's sister. In the start of Favor for a Favor, Stevie is broken hearted and homeless after she found her boyfriend cheat on her on her birthday non the less! 😱 and as her brother, RJ set her up in his penthouse where Stevie meet mister grouchy a-hole hot boxer wearing who's instantly become her number one pain in the behind neighbour.
Bishop Winslow doesn't like his new neighbour. He see this little hot mess home wrecker. Oddly she also intrugue him. Her feisty mouth and definitly hot body with fire cracker attitude makes Bishop love to taunt her to react. Not long till their "hot" battle to commence.

It's different vibe for this series from the Pucked series from the team angle. In Pucked, the boys have strong brotherhood camaraderie. In this series, the team is brand new. The boys is still fighting for their place in the team. Which effect their personality, I would say.
And that happen to Bishop. Never being a social person, he become a full a-hole for his unfriendly relationship with RJ as captain, new changing position on ice and then the injury.
While for Stevie, she believe she lives better in the shadow as RJ's little sister. And then her bad break-up happened. Making her hide in the shadow of her own making. Until mister grouchy a-hole prove he's so much than that.

Love this book for the way Helena Hunting makes Stevie and Bishop relation ship grow from bickering enemy to friend who flirt to slowly and gradually insert them self in each other skin.

The chemistry flow seamlessly.
The dialogue are fun, easy, hilarious, dirty and crazy normal.
The steamy scenes, when it's finally happen after the easy and naughty flirtious banter, are hot!
The slow burn of their chemistry in fast pace story line, love it! For me it's good for these two main character to take their time.
But yes, Favor for a Favor aren't as crazy funny like Pucked series. But, Bishop still have his antics with his underwear. And Stevie with her pizza.

Overall, wanna smack RJ' head for being over protective brother, love sweet n dirty talker Bishop, adore feisty n sexy Stevie, still laugh so hard on Violet over sharing bedazzling beaver😂

This is PERFECTION from Helena Hunting. I loved everything about A Favor for a Favor way too much. The adorable, quirky, amazing and instantly relatable characters. The full range of emotions starting from sweet to sexy to funny to intense to swoonworthy goodness. I had so much fun and my heart is incredibly full!

This story is told from dual POV. The NHL star Bishop and his accidental neighbour aka his captain's sister aka his accidental physiotherapist Stevie. Their story starts with a series of hilarious misunderstandings and they basically tease and taunt and banter like frenemies. Then Bishop gets injured and Stevie feels this can be a chance for her to get some professional experience good for her resume. And Bishop needs to get back to ice as soon as possible. Their sessions soon start getting loaded with sexual tension and undeniable attraction. But there are too many variables. Stevie's reluctance to be part of a celebrity athlete life. Bishop's issues with her brother and also the team's policy.

I just adore and love Bishop. He is so amazing. I am probably repeating same words but I don't have enough to praise him. First, he is absolutely deliciously sexy and goegeous. Second, he has a special brand of straightforwardness that sometimes borders on a$$hole and sometimes totally swoonworthy. Like when he defends Stevie or goes against Rook while trying to express her true feelings. Third, he has a gentle side behind his moody, brooding and hard exterior. That just melts my heart into a puddle. And I want to Stevie's girlfriend because she is the best. She is sweet, sassy, witty, caring and just everything. Now let's talk about the chemistry. It was pure bliss and heavenly beautiful. My heart was swooning, laughing, crying and going through every crazy emotions. I loved their sarcastic back and forth. I loved the tender moments. I loved the simmering hot, intense, heartaching, soul deep and unique chemistry.

A Favor for Favor was Helena Hunting at her best. This delightful, dreamy, sexy and mindblowing sports rom com has own my heart completely. The time passed lightening fast and I cannot believe it was over when I turned the last page. The writing was so flawless and mesmerising. One of my top read of 2019!

Received ARC for honest review.

I absolutely adored Stevie and Bishops story. It kept me interested the whole way through. Being british I dont really understand much about ice hockey, it is in the UK but its not as popular as in the us. However I feel that there is just the right ratio of non hockey stuff in the books to keep me still interested.
I dont like giving away things in my reviews, I like to keep them with no spoilers.
One of my favourite reads so far this year.
Go read it. After you've read a lie for a lie......

Holy Smokes, from the very first pages...Stevie and Bishop’s interactions are a delight and seeing how they mix business with their increasing attraction for each other is entertaining indeed. Readers who love sexy reads with a hero who makes your jaw drop with every smile and every word out of his mouth, as well as what saying is on his underwear...who love strong, independent woman who love fiercely will adore this book. It’s hockey romance at its best.

No one does enemies-to-lovers romance like Helena Hunting, and “A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR” showcases her story telling at its best. This fast paced, smart, witty, slow burn and scorching-hot love story held me enthralled in its’ clutches from the beginning to the end, and I couldn’t get enough of Stevie and Bishop. I loved every minute of this thoroughly engrossing, emotionally charged and deliciously scorching romance. YUM!! My new favorite of the year!

4 stars!

The moment I met Stevie in A Lie for a Lie, featuring her brother Rook, I knew I would love her story, and A Favor for a Favor did not disappoint! When Stevie walks in on her boyfriend cheating, on her birthday no less, she heads to her brother’s extra apartment to pick up the pieces of her heart. She is a mess and when she meets her brother's neighbor, she is not impressed by his rude comments and the way he seems to hate her on sight.

They start things off on the wrong foot but when Bishop is injured on the ice, she realizes that they may be able to help each other out. She is a physiotherapist and if she can work on his injury and get him on the ice sooner, he can give her a glowing recommendation to help gain higher profile clients. A favor for a favor, it seems like a perfect plan.

A Favor for a Favor is an entertaining, hilarious, enemies-to-lovers sports romance that is easy to read and easy to love. The storyline is original and the characters are wonderful. Stevie is feisty and sassy, and has such a fun personality. She also has a backbone and can hold her own, making me love her even more. Bishop is working his butt off on the ice and he has a lot to lose if he doesn’t heal up quickly. He is a total jerk in the beginning but I understood where he was coming from once I learned why he was so upset when Stevie moved into Rook’s place.

From the beginning, even when they didn't like one another, the attraction was there. The sexual tension skyrockets when Stevie starts helping Bishop with his physiotherapy. There are a lot of hands on moments during their sessions and Bishop’s response to being so close to Stevie is hilarious.

“You’d think you’d never seen a set of bare legs before.” She helps me lower myself into the tub and steps out.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a pair up close,” I grumble.
“Such a surprise, with your warm, fuzzy personality.”

There is also the fact that Stevie is the sister of Bishop’s teammate and he is now her client, both of which add to the forbidden aspect to the story, giving us a little more intensity between the two of them when they are together.

The progression of their relationship felt real, and though it starts off with a lot of hostility, Stevie and Bishop are a hoot. I was literally laughing out loud throughout the whole book. The banter is awesome and they both give as good as they get.

When Bishop decides to make his move it’s exhilarating and intense! They bring on the heat but still have a fun side when they start to get serious.

“I better not have the energy to do anything but sleep after you’re done with me.”
I push up on my arms so I can meet her hot, needy gaze. “Is that a challenge?”

Things are right on track when they hit a bump in the road that may be too hard to overcome. Thankfully, the drama isn’t over the top or drawn out too long so Stevie and Bishop can have the happily ever after they deserve!!

I really enjoyed A Favor for a Favor and am excited for A Secret for a Secret, the next book in the series. Ryan Kingston, AKA King, is coming in May!

Helena Hunting continues her streak of hockey romances with humor, snark, and excellent banter with the second book in her All In series.

Stevie and Bishop meet when he catches her sneaking into his teammate RJ's place - and she is not his wife. He finds out Stevie is actually RJ's sister, and she happens to be the one who can help after he is injured. They move from neighbors annoyed with each other to friends helping each other, her with his injury rehab and him with her ex. It is the transition from that friendship to more that I enjoyed the most. They are both strong personalities, so I liked he dual POV to really get to know them both.

Helena never fails to bring the hilarious moments and heat and both are definitely found in A Favor for a Favor.
