I really enjoyed reading this book. I love Stevie and Bishop together. It's so good I've read it twice. Love hockey romance. Helena Hunting just has a way with words and telling a story with her characters. Loved every second. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

5 Stars!
Bishop Winslow is an NHL player for the brand new expansion team in Seattle. He’s getting used to a new team, and settling into a new routine. He needs his sleep, so he’s not too thrilled when a hot mess of a woman is making all kinds of noise at midnight trying to get into his team captain’s penthouse apartment. He automatically thinks the worst of her. He later learns his new pink haired neighbor is his teammate’s little sister, but not before he makes a terrible first impression.

Stevie Bowman is a 24 yr. old woman who is fresh from graduate school and about to start her new job as a physiotherapist. She’s just arrived in Seattle, and nothing goes as planned. She’s an emotional mess, and her professional hockey star brother offers up his empty apartment for her to stay in. When she’s at her lowest, she meets her insanely hot new neighbor who is also full of attitude. He might be a jerk with a horrible personality, but he sure is easy on the eyes.

Suddenly Bishop is benched after he gets injured. He needs to get back on the ice sooner rather than later, so when his feisty neighbor offers her PT skills to him, he will do anything to heal faster. This includes trying to be professional, and resist the undeniable attraction between them.

Rehabbing an NHL player will be great for Stevie’s career, but trying to ignore the chemistry that sizzles every time she puts her hands on him is about to drive her crazy. He’s a gorgeous man, and it’s hard to pretend she doesn’t want him desperately. As they get more attached, and their connection grows, they have trouble fighting their feelings.

A Favor For A Favor (All In Book 2) by Helena Hunting is a fantastic enemies to lovers sports romance. It’s a new sexy, standalone full of hilarious banter, amazing chemistry, and unexpected, beautiful love. I loved this story so much, and couldn’t put this book down! It’s my favorite I’ve read this year, and will definitely be in my top reads of 2020!

Can Helena Hunting be any better at this writing gig? Seriously, I loved her stories and characters. Her Al In series have me addicted and A Favor for a Favor is a new favorite to add to my list! Stevie and Bishop are my new peeps! I loved watching these two to try to avoid what was really out there. Especially when we find out who Stevie is related too. I saw the "forbidden" written all over that bad boy. But when they let it go...sizzling sparks flew! Another story I can't help but recommend!

Book #2 in the All In series--I liked the first book, but I enjoyed the second installment so much more. You don't necessarily need to read book one to enjoy this book, but I would recommend it. Stevie's brother, Rook, is the main character in that book and his is in this one a lot, as well.

When Stevie Bowman meets NHL star, Bishop Winslow, she's just had an epic bad day. She just moved to town and caught her boyfriend cheating on her on her birthday. She heads to her NHL star brother's empty townhouse as she has nowhere else to go. Her meeting with Bishop starts out on the wrong foot and doesn't get much better until Bishop is injured and Stevie helps him with rehab.

I really loved how their relationship progressed. It wasn't insta-love. It was more like insta-annoyed. Their relationship took its' time. Bishop knew she wasn't really over what happened with her ex, so they just hung out as "friends." Bishop's character was awesome. He didn't take any crap. He was broody, grumpy and blunt. He was also sweet and cared very deeply. Stevie doesn't want to be known as Rook Bowman's little sister. She wants to do things on her own merit. Rook was kind of being an obnoxious big brother regarding her, so it was nice to see that she stood up to him. These two had it all--chemistry, humor, and great banter. I highly enjoyed this and am looking forward to reading milk-drinking Ryan Kingston's story next!

Thank you to Montlake Romance and NetGalley for a digital arc in exchange for an honest review.

This book is everything you are looking for in a sports romance!! A Lie For a Lie was good BUTTTT....A Favor For a Favor is GREAT!!!
Bishop and Stevie are such an enjoyable couple with their instant bickering, banter and competitiveness, yet under their initial hostility is a connection just waiting to be explored but will Stevie realise she is more than just her famous brother’s sister and allow somebody into her heart???
A fabulous read with plenty of humour but what more can you expect from Ms Hunting!!! I cannot wait for King The milk drinking cutie’s book!!!

OH I love these hockey books from Helena! she delivers the perfect blend of humour and hotness.

I loved Stevie! this girl is feisty considering shes having the worse day of her life she doesn't back down to the hot, grumpy neighbour she finds herself faced with. This then begins an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers story that will hold you captive and keep you thoroughly entertained from beginning to end.

Bishop, I love this broody, sexy a*hole. He is focused and can I say I love his sloganed pants and would love to get some for my hubby! they are brilliant. Of course when you are as hot as him why would you need to wear other clothes??

The banter and humorous pants slogans were thoroughly entertaining. I'm glad we get to see more of Alex Waters and Vi in this one as he has progressed into his new role as team Coach. All the other characters are equally entertaining so I cant wait to see what Helena is going to bring us with this series.

Well done Helena. Another simply brilliant read from you

It kind of pains me to say this, but A Favor for a Favor didn't quite hit home like I hoped it would. I've been a huge fan of Helena's Pucked series and I keep looking for any essence of that with her newer releases. We definitely see glimpses of it here and there, but overall, not quite there.

I definitely enjoyed this one a lot better than book 1 in the series, there was more humor that had me laughing especially with the banter between Stevie and Bishop. I really enjoyed watching their bit of enemy relationship turn into somewhat of a friendship. I found their relationship rather adorable as they try to maneuver around their feelings for one another.

I have to say that Bishop stole the show for me, but can I just hope he never uses the word 'bae' ever again. Please don't do it, Bishop!

With Stevie being the sister of the hero in book 1, he kind of overshadowed things a bit in this one. I wasn't a huge fan of him in book 1 and it was still showing in this one, unfortunately. However, these two resolve their issues with one another and it was finally great to put an end to that story.

Overall, I really wanted to love this more and it took me a lot longer than I hope to get through. Totally bums me out to say this since I'm a huge fan of Helena. Hopefully the next book will be a winner for me!

A Favor for a Favor had me captivated from the first page to the last and is the perfect addition to the All In series!
Helena Hunting has a way of writing characters that you can easily fall in love with, all within storylines that are unique and mixed with just the perfect amount of humor to keep a smile on your face!

Circumstances have thrown Bishop and Stevie in each other’s lives, but is is definitely not a love at first sight kind of relationship between these two. You could feel the tension between them slowly changing through their daily sarcastic exchanges.

When Bishop is injured, Larsen volunteers to help with his rehabilitation and that is when the sizzle starts between them and then the sparks start to fly.

This is a definite must read book! The characters, the banter between them, and the humorous situations will keep you completely engaged and it is a book you won’t want to put down!

Do you love a good sports romance? Helena Hunting is becoming my favorite go to for hockey romance. Bishop has a major chip on his shoulder. Not only was he put on an expansion team, but he lost what he thought was HIS position to Rook who in the past has been a nemesis on the ice. There is more to this gruff, antagonistic man than meets the eye but not many people will ever get to see that. His neighbor drives him absolutely batty...until she doesn't. They make a deal, one that could break them both in the end. Some favors are easily made and fulfilled. Others....will turn into a chance of a lifetime...if only they can see past their own pain and insecurities. Another fabulous, steamy story in the All In series. I need King's story though...stat!

This is the second book in the ALL IN series by Helena Hunting. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but in order to get to know all (side) characters, I prefer to read in order.

Stevie is Rook’s little sister, <- his story is book one A LIE FOR A LIE, and is just moving to Seattle. She’s moving into her brothers penthouse apartment, in the middle of the night, having a day from hell and has to deal with the a**hole neighbor.

Bishop, the a**hole neighbor - and a teammate from Stevie’s brother - doesn’t believe his eyes when gets woken up by a ruckus in the hallway. His impression about and from his new neighbor is not the best to say at least.

Fate has it, that Bishop needs some PT, and Stevie is a PT, and quite handy living across the hall, right?!
But what happens when a hot lady touches you constantly near your groin and gives you massages?! Can you keep it all professional?!

I had a lot times where I really laughed out loud in this book. I like their banter. Bishop might have been a bit rude in the beginning, but that changes a lot further on. I’d put this book in an enemy to friends to slow burn lovers trope!! I loved it a lot. The slow burn was hot, the first kiss fire!

I kindly received an arc from the author / publisher and voluntarily left a review

Diving into A Favor for a Favor, book two in the All In Series which can be enjoyed as a standalone is as always with Hunting’s books, easy-peasy. However, if you read A Lie for a Lie #1 first which just happens to be one of my fave 2019 reads, you’ll get to meet Stevie’s brother, RJ and learn about the NHL team’s camaraderie. Hunting has yet again delivered a laugh-out-loud romance that has me snorting into the middle of the night! So be warned, if you pick the book up late evening, you could possibly cause a disturbance!

“You’re welcome for making sure you weren’t murdered last night.”
“Buy a pair of pants!”

Ooh. My. Gawd! Stevie and Bishop’s impression of each other was not good from the word go. Not surprising either. She’d irritated this bear of a man at daft o’clock and he wasn’t in any mood to cover up. Yep, he loves his sassy underwear! To top the lot, he jumps to conclusions without having the facts and being the cocky guy that he is, rubs her up the wrong way...no pun intended, of course!

‘I don’t know that I hate him, but I definitely don’t like him.’

How could I not fall for Stevie? She’s no pushover and Bishop and I kinda liked this, but their slow-burn friendship isn’t going to be plain sailing. No love lost between Bishop and RJ won’t help matters and as far as physical therapists go in this sport, it’s still a man’s world, so Stevie’s got to prove herself. She’s very, but very good at her job and her first patient is...guess who? I really liked observing how little by little, they began to feel more at home with each other. She’s Bishop’s hope, the woman who will help him get back on the ice. Hmm, now to see if they rock their professional boats or not because all said and done, work ethics have to be complied with.

“You’re being awfully cagey about her if she’s just a friend. Don’t think I can’t tell you’re trying to hide her.”

Bishop is all kinds of grumpy and it took me a while to understand how he ticked. One thing is for sure, he’ll bend over backwards for his younger brother who he feels is his responsibility. Hunting delves into an illness hard to live with, her references accurate and enlightening. But who fell out of favour with me this time around which is weird seeing as I really connected with him in A Lie For A Lie was RJ. He has so much attitude in this book that I could have gladly strangled him!

“You can’t date a hockey player.”
“Are you kidding me?”

Great side players and although Stevie wound me up a tad with a past issue, I got eventually got her drift when it all came back to bite her. I liked the pacing of this light-hearted book with a touch of angst—you’ll see what’s bothering these two loveable characters by reading it, and the banter on all levels is fabulous! The narration from a dual perspective in present worked perfectly in this thoroughly enjoyable enemies-to-friends-to-lovers rom-com with all its amorous obstacles cleverly portrayed. Bravo Hunting!

Helena Hunting is on my one-click author list. Having read her Pucked series, which I loved, as well as A Lie for A Lie and I was so excited to read Stevie's story in A Favor for a Favor.

This book was such a slow burn, which usually I don't love but I really did. It was funny, sweet and hot, Stevie and Bishop were such a fun couple because although there was chemistry at the beginning, they both really disliked each other in the beginning.

Stevie and Bishop meet late one night, after Stevie's day from hell. Their meeting is less than pleasant and lots of harsh insults and words are exchanged. They begin this sort of teasing dance around one another every morning when they pick up their papers from outside their apartment door, until Stevie works out that they can help one another out, a favor for a favor.

Bishop is this big, surly, mountain of a hockey player who is trying to be on the top of his game. He has a lot of responsibility in his personal life and although he never complains about it, you can see why he doesn't really care what anyone thinks and why he acts like an a$$hole to most people. I loved how Stevie brought out a different side to him, a softer and more light-hearted version as he fell in love with her.

Stevie was such a sweet heroine, tired of living in her brother's shadow and constantly being on edge about whether people are using her to get to him. That's why she worked so well with Bishop, he couldn't care less and treated her like a normal person once they got to know each other. I loved her personality and how she stood up for herself against RJ.

RJ was the only problem I had with this book. I loved him in A Lie for A Lie but he was almost completely different in this book, self-centered and far too full of himself. I understand why he acted that way but I didn't like it at all. It was fun seeing snapshots of him, Lainey and Kody within the story, and the other couples too.

Stevie and Bishop had chemistry from the offset, bouncing off one another with their comebacks which they used to try and mask the sexual tension. I enjoyed reading about how their relationship blossomed, it was such an easy read and I read it all at once.

I cannot wait for A Secret For A Secret, Helena has well and truly dragged me back into the hockey world by introducing new fun, interesting and relatable characters whilst still keeping the couples we know and love present. It adds more depth to the story as you know their stories too. Her heroes and heroes are believable as they are flawed but lovable, making any one who reads her books fall in love with them.

Another 5 star read from Helena, as always!!

Bishop is humorous, sexy and will melt your heart

Helena Hunting has the perfect knack of writing about hockey men that I just can't help falling for ... Bishop Winslow is definitely one of these men. A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR is another winner from this amazing author, it was fun, humorous and thoroughly endearing.

Bishop Winslsow and Stevie Bowman definitely have an unexpected first meeting, comprising of miscommunication and lots of aggrvation. A meeting that really shows first impressions are not always right. When Bishop is injured during a hockey game Stevie offers to help with his rehab, leading to some sexual tension, relationship complications and quite a few hilarious moments.

Bishop and Stevie have an undeniable chemistry, it burns up every page. Their relationship is honest and open, their conversations full of comedy and sexual innuendos, both witnessing a side to the other that no others ever see. As Bishop's rehab progresses, it is obvious that their relationship is altering, but will Stevie's fear of being constantly recognised put a stop to what they could have together?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Bishop was not the man everyone perceived him to be. He was a man of such depth and character. A man who cares for others more than he is given credit for. Stevie brings more out of Bishop than even he knew was possible, while Bishop makes Stevie realise why she has struggled emotionally in her life, he makes her a stronger woman.

Bishop will make your heart go "pitty pat", he will melt it and your panties too. I can say that this will already be one of my top reads for 2020. So don't miss out, grab your copy now ... you won't regret it. This is Helena Hunting at her best.

FIVE STARS

4.5 Stars

When it comes to hockey-themed romances, Helena Hunting is undoubtedly my absolute favorite author and having such great adoration for the Pucked couples, I wasn't sure the All In series could measure up. So thrilled that I was incredibly wrong. After devouring A Lie for A Lie, I was excited to jump into her upcoming release. A Favor for A Favor had everything I relish while reading one of this author's tales - A cast of colorful and looney characters; A broody-hot and lovable hero; A spirited and sassy heroine; Comical banter that had me chuckling as well as a captivating story-line brimming with sexual tension and off the charts slow-burning chemistry. From this couple's awkward beginnings to witnessing them fall hopelessly in love, I've enjoyed every moment of Bishop and Stevie's journey.

Meeting RJ (Rookie) Bowman's little sister in the first installment, I immediately liked her spunky character. A recent graduate who's down on her luck, Stevie is determined to establish a career in the sports field as a physical therapist without the help of her famous brother. A strong-willed, intelligent, quirky, and witty tough gal who possessed a gentle and vulnerable side, she embodied everything I admire in a strong heroine. And when challenged to a face-off with her beyond vexing and contentious new neighbor Bishop, the plucky Stevie is not easily intimidated to go toe-to-toe with him. I love how she's fearless and unafraid to combat her belligerent (but funny) adversary. The banter between these two was hysterical.

When Bishop suffers from an on-ice injury and in desperate need to speed up his recovery, Stevie is there to turn his misfortune into an opportunity to put her therapy skills to work. It's only a matter of time that these two enemies foster a friendship bursting with heaps of sexual tension, which eventually leads to something more.

Bishop "Ship" Winslow was a hunk of a hockey player that I totally fell for, but I have to admit, it wasn't easy. First impressions of Ship were not favorable as he was judgy, offensive, abrasive and hot-headed. However, it didn't take me long to love him and see all the sweetness hidden beneath the brawn. A guy with loads of responsibilities and worries, Ship's priorities were his career as well as taking good care of his brother Nolan. Deep down, he was a big-hearted guy and once the animosity towards Stevie waned, it was a treat to see the loving, passionate, and gentle side of this hero. Together, they made for an adorable couple.

Another fun and light-hearted romantic comedy from Hunting that I thoroughly enjoyed.

this was a fantastic read. Flirty, sexy and amusing, A Favor for A Favor quickly became another favorite for me. I loved seeing some old friends from the Pucked series - now older and more mature - as well as getting to know some new and exciting characters. And Shippy's boxer shorts... absolutely ridiculous and hilarious. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.

First, credit to Stevie for wanting anything to do with Bishop after he is awful to her. But, she is a nice person, and one who wouldn't dream of leaving someone in the hallway who clearly needs help...although no one would really blame her if she did.

This is the start of their rather rocky friendship and their romance, that is initially fueled by Bishop feeling that he owes Stevie (even though he won't totally admit it) and wants to help protect her from the ex who just won't go away. And, well, he does this and gets a lot more than he was planning for in the process.

Helena Hunting balances the absurd (here's looking at you, Violet and beavers) with the romantic and the result is books like this one...with cats who have unfortunate birthmarks and exes who really need to be somewhere else, and overprotective brothers.

All in all, this is a fun and sexy book with characters you like, who annoy you and who seem human enough that you could probably imagine living near them.

I enjoyed and recommend this title for people who enjoy the author and who also like some laughter with their romance.

Stevie Bowman is moving into her brother Rook/RJ’s condo while she starts a new job as a physical therapist. The plan hadn’t been to live in Rook’s penthouse apartment, but arriving a few days earlier than expected uncovered a surprise that changed her living arrangements quickly.

Bishop Winslow lives across the hall and is Rook’s teammate. A serious injury has him sidelined just when he needs to be out on the ice the most. But when Stevie offers to help his PT process and possibly speed his healing in return for only the experience of rehabbing a professional athlete it seems to be a perfect arrangement for both of them.

I loved the games they played across the hall. Both as assertions of their personalities and as they carried an undertone of flirtation, the games ramped up the steam between them even as they both claimed to hate the other.

There is so much back and forth between these two. Every time I thought they were making headway beyond the tenuous friendship they had, one would do something that made me (and the other character) question the true motives. This was a slow burn, for sure. But the tension between them kept things interesting.

I am looking forward to more from this series. The combination of humor and tension is perfect for a fun read. Bishop’s teammate, Ryan, is the “good boy” of the bunch and I loved the perspective he gave throughout this book. His hinted story is sure to be a good one!

A Favor For A Favor is the second title in the All In series, but can easily be read as a standalone. Whilst I enjoyed the first title in this series A Lie For A Lie, I was enthralled and captivated by Stevie and Bishop’s story and highly recommend this slow burn enemies to lovers romance.
Stevie is RJ’s younger sister and was first introduced in A Lie for A Lie. She’s my kind of heroine, intelligent, strong, sassy, feisty, independent and strong willed.
Bishop comes across as grumpy and brooding hero and honestly a bit of an asshole, but underneath his gruff exterior is a big hearted, sweet, caring and compassionate man who is driven to succeed, so that he can provide for those he cares for most.
The sexual tension between this pair oozes off the page and their banter is fun, flirty, antagonistic and full of witty and humorous one liners.
Whilst for the most part this title is light and fun, it also has some serious undertones, and I can’t wait for the next release in the series.

I am loving the All In series by Helena Hunting, don't get me wrong I enjoyed the Pucked series but at times the characters just seemed so immature, so I'm appreciating this series a bit more (although to be honest Violet STILL gets on my nerves).

Stevie's life has been turned a bit upside down starting with losing her father, her brother, the one whose limelight has shown so bright her whole life she's been a bit lost in the shuffle, decided to assume the role of her dad and she doesn't want to need that from him, she found her boyfriend of a year cheating on her on her birthday, and the guy that lives across the hall from the apartment her brother is loaning her is a jerkwad. Add in that she has to see her ex-boyfriend at work every day where he is under the assumption they are getting back to together and she is so over everything.

Bishop honestly doesn't mind being a member of a new NHL expansion team but losing out on the Captain's spot hurt a bit. Even worse is that his captain has moved in his side piece across the hall from him. Add in an injury in the first exhibition game that will cause him to not be able to work out with the team and have him rehabbing for 6 weeks and he is one pissed off hockey player, when the sidepiece across the hall offers to help rehab him he tells her no and insults her life choices only to discover she isn't his teammate's sidepiece, but his little sister.

While these two don't start out on the best foot, I loved watching their interactions and how those interactions changed over the course of Bishop's therapy. They both have some baggage in their lives that has made them into the people they are, but because of the way they are working so closely together they seem to trust one another to share so much of their pasts with each other. There was no denying the chemistry but I L-O-V-E-D the slow burn of this story. For them and their situation it was perfect.

An amazing romance with characters that were easy to like once their prickly layers were peeled back; A Favor for a Favor is another winner from Helena Hunting!

Any time I get to visit the Pucked world, it's going to be a good day. I was a huge fan of Chicago but now that this series is set in Seattle, I have a new team (sorry, boys!!)

Bishop is something else. He's such a jerk so much of the time, it's amazing that he's not getting constantly punched in the face. When he meets Stevie for the first time, he couldn't have made a worse first impression. As if I wasn't already a fan of her after she handled her ex, my fandom expanded exponentially when she handled Bishop. I love a leading lady who won't take any nonsense from anyone and Stevie has that on lock.

This book is hilarious and it made me shed a tear or two. I loved the friendship that Bishop and Stevie built while she was helping rehab his injury. Their connection is so genuine and felt so real that I had no choice but to root for them. I can't wait for more of this series!!

Together they cause quit a stir...they have a push pull with each other that causes some sexy, dirty, fun times.
It's complicated, but then it's not. It's such a fun and sweet story so make sure you #OneClick!
